Powdered cardamom should not be stored as volatile oils evaporate. Grind whole pods every time you use them, for good results. For best results, chew 2- 3 whole pods, including skin, after a meal. The skin has fibre and adds to the taste and digestion.

My first taste of cardamon, was at an old-style farming househould with freshly baked bread. I will never forget it 50 years later - and would readily eat up the entire loaf (with/without butter - cinnamon). Totally awesome.

    Thanks for the video!
If one at an early age has sampled the taste of most or all of such spices or herbs, it would be easy to understand their characteristics, properties or common constituents.
Turpene or turpene oils make one instinctively resort to them when some remedial action is needed.
The analysis is so agreeable to those who have found some form of comfort or satisfaction from these gifts of nature.
This video projects the spirit of India and the blessings of natures bounty.

I use cardamom in tea and sweet lassi. I use in almost sweet item recipes. Everyone i buy them and grind them into powder so i no need to crush them all the time. Just grind them and keep in a container and use the powder whenever you want.

@@arseniaventura4057 I grind everything and make fine powder. Or you can just buy seeds and make them fine oowder. I like to grind whole cardamom. Smell and flavour so good. Try this....when you have yogurt, just grind yogurt and 2 spoons of sugar, 1/4 spoon cardamom powder in a mixture. At the end put some saffron on top when you serve. Trust me that's my favourite drink lassie, I make it especially in summer. It cools your body and yummy yummy. If you want health and beauty use honey instead of sugar. 🥰

Crush them. Then you will get all the good flavour. Use 1 pinch of powder if not crush them and use 2 cardamoms for one cup tea. You will love the flavour. Or you can buy a packet of cardamom and grind them in small mixture, put in a container and you can use a pinch of this powder whenever you want. Time saving. Or you can buy cardamom powder directly. It will be so good if you boil in tea or coffee. In summer if you want to drink lassi, just put some curd, add 3 ice cubes, 2 spoons sugar and 1/4 spoons of cardamom powder and grind them in mixture. On the top add pistachio and saffron. You will love it. Sweet lassi. My favourite. It's good too

Elaichi is widely grown in India and Pakistan. But one correction needed in Video. The word “Elaichi” is taken from Urdu language.Urdu is national language of Pakistan and is spoken in many parts of India. Hindi is national language of India which is distorted version of Urdu in fact. Writing scripts of Urdu and Hindi are different but spoken is almost same except the words which were added in Hindi taken from Sanskrit in order to differentiate it from Main language Urdu. Still majority of Films and film songs are in Urdu language because it is understood not only in all subcontinent but also in UAE.
