I have this bike it's really really awesome 😎 It's gives 48 average km/l when I fill the tank fully It goes around 500kms when it reaches Trip F (reserve) mode . I check the mileage frequently when I goes on long rides nearby 5-6times and I got the same mileage 48-50.9km/l💙 but my crusing speed is 75-85km/hr in highway. And braking also very very nice in this bike. The headlight range in this bike is nearby 180-200metres on high beam & 50metres in low beam.
@@Ahmed-jv7oc my rtr 200 4v bs6(one with riding modes) give 42-44 kmpl city ( not bumper to bumper traffic kinda medium - heavy) and on an NH ride of 120kms ( speed 55-75)gave me 48.4 kmpl. All tests done using full tank method. The best mileage should be when we ride at 4-5k rpm which is under 55kmph. Practically anything in the range of 45-70kmph will give you 40+ mileage on this edition. Apart from speed, riding style is also very important on 200+ cc bikes. Sudden acceleration and braking will take a heavy toll on these bikes. As far as possible we need to be linear with the throttle and the brakes.
clocked in 9750 kms in just over an year on this, easily cruise at 100-110 without much effort and city ride is as good as it gets peppy fast agile and filters through traffic perfectly. Ns200 might be a better highway bike by a slight margin but this right here is a better overall motorcycle.
Revisiting this video after 2 years. I have been contemplating to get back to riding motorbikes. Having owned RTR160 for 10+ years, zero breakdowns with 6 digits on the ODO. I was initially disappointed from lack of power and struggling with Honda Hornet, tiny fuel tank that can't even get me from Chennai to Bangalore without hitting reserve and at 150+kgs, it was a few KGS short of Suzuki GSXR1000. Now that 2 years have passed, am yet to see a 200cc bike that bitch slaps a wide happy grin on your face every time your wring the throttle. While TVS may not have done a good job in making a competitive bike with likes of KTM or Bajaj. They surely nailed it riding experience wise. Hopefully soon, I might get one from the used market and work on modifying it to make it at least 10kgs lighter.
TVS should get an adv version on this engine and let it take on Xpulse 200. Even if it’s around 20-25k above Xpulse, for the extra power it will be worth 👍

Even though i now the only true lightweight (around 300-500cc) advs in india are the royal enfield himalayan and the bmw g 310gs , even the ktm isn't for the gnarly stuff as it lacks the suspension travel And the only ultralight adv bike in india is the hero xpulse 200..
@@p.chakraborty4453 i myself think that xpulse is only for the ones who are interested in hardcore offroading which is less practical for major portion of indian bikers. For touring i can never prefer xpulse because of the tubed tyres. It's a hell exhausting thing to fix the puncture on your own for tubed tyres and the bike is meant to explore the un explored and the un explored places are less likely to have a puncture shop.
You can push it beyond 130 for sure, but for that we need to tuck in. I did 131 on My 2020 Apache 160 4v and thats just a 16bhp machine, I guess we can hit 140 on this if we really squeeze the engine
@@crankitup3275 The 200 actually came before the 160. It was based on the Suzuki alliance but TVS have improved a lot. The piston and bore have had a good reputation of having reliable performance.

A much detailed review. I wish it had a 6th gear and little more power or a vvt like yamaha which would make it rev higher to compensate the power compared to competition. And liquid cooling ofc. Otherwise the bike is fantastic. TVS is really working on their bikes. They nailed it with the 160 4v and now they are with the 200.
Took a test drive of this and the suzuki gixxer 155, went with the suzuki due to better handling and braking. But this bike also top notch considering the price especially for people who like speed. I am a beginner in biking so opted for Gixxer. This has an on road price of 1.67L with double disc and I took the Gixxer with 1.4L. So for only 27k price difference, you would get a host of features extra and of course the power of a 200cc engine. Though, generally TVS engines are less reliable than Japanese brands 3-4 years down the line.
Hey Arka, thanks for sharing the details. I'm in a similar dilemma and am confused between the Gixxer 250 and Apache 200. The problem is that the showrooms don't allow for an extended test ride here in Kolkata. Did you face the same during your purchase process?
@@soumyas111 Hi, Gixxer 250 is priced considerably higher than RTR 200. Gixxer 250 SF has an on road price of around 2.2L while RTR 200 is 1.6L. The Gixxer is better obviously in terms of looks and reliability but the RTR gives a better value for money.

Bro was the rpm limiter red light working fine on your review bike?? As many 2021 rtr 200 owners including me are facing rpm limiter light popping up between just 3000 to 4000 rpm. And also there is no option to set it from the instrument console..

Hey Strell, primarily for city commute, which one would be a better pick, Gixxer 250 or RTR 200? Good low end and mid range is required with a free revving engine, not really interested in a good top end.
If comfort is your highest priority then you should go for the FZ-S V3!! Its not like the RTR 200 4V isn't comfortable but it is certainly not as comfortable as the FZ-S. Moreover, the FZ-S has a relatively more comfortable seating position. The only thing that's lacking on the FZS is power, do take a test ride before you buy any of them!!!

Thats not a all new Engine it is rebored version of 1604v or suzuki fiero it will not have much top speed.dont expect it also.

Sure bro. I am using MRA windshiled on my CBR. Without that 90kmph is a comfortable speed. With windshiled, it has came up to 130kmph. :)
