  • Pinterest likes vertical pins. I've talked about this before and have gotten a pretty valid question on how can you pin those vertical pins directly from your Etsy shop?
    Etsy has a different listing format which is either square or rectangular but definitely not the beloved vertical images Pinterest prefers.
    This video will show you a "secret" sauce 😄 recipe on how you can easily pin your products in the right Pinterest format directly from your Etsy shop.
    *only my personal experiences and thoughts are represented, you may have your own spin on things which is awesome!
    Comment below "secret sauce" if you will br using this trick!

    Hi, it is a good trick to add a vertical image to your etsy list. But this will go to save pins when you push it through any website or even from your own pinterest, it won't bring that much traffic to your pinterest, becasue the main factor which bring more impressions on pinterest and eventually more visits to your etsy is CREATING a pin inside pinterest. The best practice which I do is to Link you canva to all your social media including pinterest and schedule or publish from there.

    • @proudlyselfmadeblog
      @proudlyselfmadeblog  Год назад +5

      Hi, you have a great point and I agree that Pinterest (as any social media platform) preferences content that was created in an original way or directly there. However, etsy pins will still rank but it may take longer vs the same pin created directly on Pinterest. It's just sometimes you may have a lot of products to go through or you don't want/ don't know how to create, schedule all of that-this way is an easy solution.
      I love canva by the way and their scheduling tool 🙌
      Thanks for your feedback 😊

    That's a great tip but I am still confused where it is pinned when you do it like that... When I pin something from my Etsy via the method shown in 4:35 then it appears in the "created pins" folder. But when I do the method for the vertical image (the trick), then that pin only appears under "all pins" (as just a saved pin). How different is that for the Pinterest algorithm? Do you know? I'm so new to this.. Thank you! :)

    How do i get the listing tool bar? What do i have to log into? Is it that chrome extension or something else? Thank you for the tip!!

    • @proudlyselfmadeblog
      @proudlyselfmadeblog  Год назад

      You can access it by going through your shop manager! So once you're logged in to your shop,you have your "Shop Manager" dashboard right, with a menu (listings, orders, settings etc.) So first click on "listings". Then, right click on any product then 'view on Etsy" and it will bring you to the screen with that listing tool bar on top 😉 Let me know if it helped 🙌

    This was very helpful. One thing I can't work out is how to have my Etsy pins include a price tag, so when people search for 'Cycling Print' they can shop from a selection of Etsy listings. I see other Etsy listings appear in Pinterest like this but not mine.

    • @proudlyselfmadeblog
      @proudlyselfmadeblog  Год назад +2

      Hi Jen, you don't have to change your formatting for Etsy listings, in fact keep it as they suggest 1:1 or 4:3 ratio especially for the first image, you only add one or a few (it's up to you) vertical images of your product to that same listing. So that you can pin them to Pinterest, hope it helps!

      Turn on your Closed Captions. I have a hearing impairment and understood her just fine because I had it turned on.
      My sound basically stays off because the only thing I hear all the time is garbled noise. So my sound stays off and Closed Caption is always turned on.
