Hi Heather... I am devouring your content. I've tackled my Pinterest on and off for the last 8 years...but coming back after a bit of a gap of focus... and I think some of the info I have is super outdated. Should I still be pinning OTHER people's content to my boards too? I'm a small handmade biz. I'm wondering if I need to go through and do a hard cull of content!
This is excellent thank you! I would love some ideas for pins selling embroidery or crochet designs. Also, where do you host or how do you host a freebie - so if I were to give away a free pattern or design, how would I get that to them? I don’t have my own website, just an Etsy store. Thank you.
I really enjoyed your video. I have an Etsy shop with digital products. I will be starting a website for the same products. I was going to have separate Pinterest accounts for each one. Do I understand that your one Pinterest account is for both your Shopify and Etsy shops?
I've been binge watching your videos the past two days! ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM 🌸 I have one question that is still confusing me a bit before I start my Pinterest. How often can I post a pin to one link specifically? Like....isn't there supposed to be a week in-between until I use the same link again? Especially if it's to an etsy, or shopify or any affiliate link? And then I am wondering how that is possible if you don't have a blog where you can create different blog posts for this reason. So excited to hear your thoughts on this!
Hi Heather! Thanks so much for this video. I can’t find too many people on RUclips specifically giving information for Etsy digital product promotions, so thanks. I think the auto generated description from Etsy all becomes one bit paragraph on Pinterest, which is probably terrible for people who click on my pin. Do you know how I can fix this problem, so the description has paragraphs and bullet points, like on my Etsy?
Hi Heather, amazing video! If i knew what you teached today many years ago, my pinterest Journey would been a much better experience ;) I have just one question since i am out of pinterest for awhile and the algorithm changes quite often, how many pins i can i schedule for the same Etsy Listing URL and what should be the interval per pin for the same URL. Because in the past Pinterest was quite picky with this. Have a wonderful sunday. Paulo
Hi! Great video! I sell coconut hides for fish, lizards and spiders and tons of other products all made of coconuts like necklaces, earrings, bowls and more on etsy. Do you have any suggestions on how I should make pinterest work for my business? Thank you so so much!!
Animals are big on Pinterest. Your boards could be something like "how to care for your lizards", "lizard hides for (breed) or "clay lizard hides" if you make clay... Also, "reptile cage ideas" ... you would then make pins for your products and pin them to those boards. I have a fear of spiders so I"m not going down that rabbit hole on Pinterest but you essentially research those keywords. Great video ma'am this is first video of your's which i watched and got to say that this very informative video and got to learn so much from this amazing work ma'am I sell folk art Traditional wall art in digital format so my question is tha how can i solve problem of the buyerr so that they buy my wall art any examples?
Decorating with the art, filling blank holes on their walls, how to decide what kind of art to buy, how to find your art style, how to choose frames, how to mix art in a single space. These are the things I have thought of when decorating for myself!
Thanks so much for your video, very informative! I opened my Etsy shop 2 weeks ago and I’m selling digital downloads of printable art. If you could help with some pin ideas, that would be great!😊
I have some ideas! Have you seen the video I made showing you how to make pins for digital products? Also, do you have the ability to procure these products for yourself? I have students who sell digital products and POD and they order things themselves to have in person or put them on their devices. Then they shoot photos and videos. However, I would start with showcasing the art so people can see what it looks like in a space similar to theirs.
Being that you’re selling products like mugs you’ll need to go after people already ready to buy primarily. You could also create videos in Canva that are like “gift ideas for ___” showcasing your mugs. Make sure to share your direct listing over too.
My issue with it when I tried it was having more than one list, having to pay for extras like automatic sending of lead magnets, etc. you’re very limited.
Hello! I'm working on optimizing my profile and aiming for a cleaner look. I've deleted several boards that I personally enjoy but aren't contributing to my shop, such as recipes and craft ideas. I'm also part of various group boards, but I'm considering leaving them. A few years ago, I heard that contributing to these groups was an effective way to drive traffic, but it never really worked for me. Recently, I've come across information suggesting that group boards are somewhat obsolete these days. What are your thoughts on this?
Definitely obselete unless they are super niche focused and actually optimized. Most group boards fail to do anything because they aren’t actually optimized for a topic Ann for search. If one board has 10 topics then it’s going to be hard to get your content surfaced.
Hi, It's a great video. At 16:15 you say to create a freebie banner and put it on the Etsy banner and product description. Can we put such a banner in our Etsy store? and can we add such a link in our product description? Can you please share an example Thanks
Yes so on your Etsy store banner put a URL for something you give for free in exchange for an email address. Take a peek at my Etsy shop. I don’t make a ton of sales there but I am getting email leads.
I just opened a Pinterest account for my Etsy digital shop about 2 weeks ago - my first time on Pinterest. Did I understand correctly from your video , I can't post free coloring pages on Pinterest?
@@HeatherFarris thank you for your answer. Everything is very new to me and there are a ton of rules everywhere. To be honest, probably half of your video is like trying to translate Chinese. I use a ton of examples and screen share throughout the video. If there is something specific you need examples of you’ll likely find a full long form video on the channel. I can’t do all the work for you. Also, please do not call strangers on the internet honey. Only my mother & husband are allowed to call me that. 🤗
Best Pinterest video for Etsy on RUclips, thanks
Thanks Fred! Happy to help in anyway I can if you have more questions.

How many times can you pin to the same URL? #pintereststrategy #pinterestforetsy
I just uploaded a short to answer this for you it will be live in around 35 minutes depending on RUclips.
