    If you can get your hands on the schedule of when different states will bring their spring plant haul in stock, you should randomly show it on screen in your videos because I’m in NJ living through you until we get our plants back!

    Thank-you for your response to my corrections on the phalaenopsis. I was vice chairman of our orchid society for many years and at shows we ran a problems table. 8 out of 10 plants were overwatered phalaenopsis
    You are in a good position here to save people the heartache of watching these beautiful plants die. In the growing season with healthy roots every 3 weeks is good. In dark cold weather once in 5weeks is enough. To bring them back into flower they need a cold rest for at least 3 months moving them to an unheated room will do

    • @growfolds
      @growfolds  8 месяцев назад

      Absolutely. I want to make sure I’m giving the correct information to our Plant Foldies as it’s important for me as well. I love the information you’ve given me as we want more people growing orchids for sure. Thanks again for the information

      @@growfoldslike I say I have a long history with orchids. I have also.been a judge at the shows. I think you wil go far with your channel because you have a different approach to the rest. I am in the UK and we don't have the plants available that you lucky people do. Will.help with orchid care as much as I can but phalaenopsis need seprate requirements
      The strage thing is people just do not believe they are overwatering them!!!but you are right to say let them dry out before watering x

    Yay ur incorporating origami ^.^ oooh, can u do other stuff sides cranes? :D the kalanchoe frenchie r totes worth. I have white ones that I like, I'd totes get a pink combo. And yes pink princess = pink dragon. OMG I WOULD LOOOOVE TO SEE UR DARK PLANTS 🤤🤤🤤 plis share 💚also, for the phalaenopsis, once a week is accurate. Ur environment and substrate is key however. If u have 100% bark it will dry out faster if its in 100% moss. Also if u have fans thatll determine how fast it dries. I grow phals in 100% bark, 100% moss half n half, 100% tree fern, and other mixes for experimental studies... my RT is 73° RH 40% w fan. i take care of my orchids every Monday...thru out the week 100 bark dries out first, all the other mixes dry out by thursday, and moss is always last to dry. I wouldnt recommend 100 moss for beginners but my entire rant is to say...theres a lot of factors but it certainly does not take 2 full weeks to 3. If ur phals sitting in still moist substrate for 3 weeks straight....thats how ur gonna get rot as well. A better way to educate on phal watering is....feel ur pot, if it feels light thatll b an indicator. Look at the roots, if theyre silver n no moisture inside the pot time to water. But please do not wait a month :/ the phal will show signs of dehydration.
