I remember that this video in particular changed my life. I only had heard the big 3 from Oasis before this (Wonderwall, Champagne Supernova, Don't Look Back in Anger). When I heard this... words do not describe what happened. What I thought was good music yesterday turned into shit. This raised the bar of my expectations from a song. This fucking BROKE those expectations. Oasis changed my life with this tune, and it's a shame I can't pay them back for it.
i love when liam start singing get on the rollercoasterrr the fair's in town today, u gotta be bad enough to beat the brave! amazing rock....awesome... i love you forever oasis!!!!
Now that was MEGA. Everything about it. Liam's look, Liam's voice, Liam's sweat, Liam almost dancing, Noel's jamming, the whole bands sound, the whole vibe of the song. MEGA.
Whether you think Be Here Now was one of their top efforts or not, there is absolutely no denying that Liam's voice was at its absolute best during the Be Here Now era.
Be here now and standing on the shoulder of giants are the 2 most under rated albums of all time. This song is unbelievable, more so instrumentally than lyrically, Johnny Depps slide guitar on the album version is really cool. So glad i saw them in concert before they buggered off.
thanx 4 all coments. universal90 you got the reason, I think much much people buy guitars and start to learn singing, playing and dreaming with oasis. all we can try to say... I'M A ROCK N' ROLL STAAAAAR!. (like Liam :) )
Well said, sir! Can't agree more. Be Here Now is so underrated. Songs like "Be Here Now" "Girl on a Dirty Shirt" "It's Getting Better (Man!!)" should have been mega.
AWESOME VERSION! I always liked this song on the record, it really lends itself to this style. Noel definately had the chemical brothers influence going strong for a couple of years.
'sittin upside a hot chair, the devils refugee is gonna be blinded by the light that follows me!!!!!' now theyre proper rock n roll lyrics! my favourite 'not-so-famous' oasis song (my no.1 is supersonic)on a great rock n roll album which has been massively underrated. baffles me as to why noel always talks it down??
Yes, Johnny Depp played on the studio version of the album, Be Here Now. He recorded his separate slide guitar tracks while on holiday is some island and then posted them to Noel.
the 8 people who dont like this must be from blue and westlife this is drunk coked up rocknroll from a band led by a lunatic absolutely brilliant best band ever!!!
absolutely awesome, should play this on next tour, best band ever. Need a new cover aswell, i suggest ace of spades by motorhead, any other suggestions?
an interesting point mate but off the mark! definitely maybe is a press/media fav but the REAL oasis fans KNOW that be here now is THE BEST album cocaine inspired or not:-)
Ha. I agree, it is highly underrated. Though I think maybe "Cast No Shadow" from Morning Glory and "Slide Away" from Definitely Maybe are more underrated, Fade In-Out is the underrated track on Be Here Now.
oasis at their best. 97 was their best time - soundwise. 5 hour intro's and outro's, mad solos and liams vocals. not to mention him fucking around with the stange props all night and generally being completely off his head.
I know this is Johnny Depp on lead her because Noel was fried out of his mind. But does anyone know if there is Any footage of Johnny when he was playing here in this song? I would Love to see it, Thanks.
Amazing version of this song. I read somewhere that Noel said it took him af\ges to get Johnny Depp's guitar part down. It's quite different from that, but pretty cool anyway.
something magical about the Be Here Now era? listen to the interviews then and now, Noel readily admits they were all high as kites after their newfound wealth and status with Morning Glory. don't get me wrong, I love it, but thats certainly at least a contributing force to the 'magic' :P
Is this the best Oasis vid on RUclips? Could be! :) Man, theirs someting completely fucking magic about the Be Here Now era (mainly talking the gigs) even though it gets slated. Oasis are still fuckin top... Beady Eye doesn't mean shit to me compared to Oasis.. well at the moment anyway.
"Be Here Now" was certainly not as good "Definitely Maybe" or "(What's the Story) Morning Glory", but I think the reason that so many people (or the public opinion) say that it is bad is, that when it come out Oasis simply were to huge. There had to be some sort of media backlash against them. When everybody liked them, it became fashionable to just don't like them anymore. And the same people who just 2-3 years earlier wrote them into heaven wanted to bring them down again.
the most underrated song of the history!!!
Sorry but I think I saw this video one million times...and I can't stop.
Let your comment please. Thanks
THAT IS AMAZING! i cant describe how much i would love 2 have been at that gig. LIAM IS THE KING OF MODERN ROCK N ROLL!

Still reckon this BHN era was peak Oasis. I missed them when they came to my town as it was my now wife's 21st. Still haven't forgiven her. ;)

Man, i wish i was old enough to experience a night from the be here now tour. Liam is at his ultimate best!
Now that was MEGA. Everything about it. Liam's look, Liam's voice, Liam's sweat, Liam almost dancing, Noel's jamming, the whole bands sound, the whole vibe of the song. MEGA.

Drugs, loud music, long songs, good singing, cigarettes, alcohol, jumping around like a twat = Complete rock and roll
wow liam voice is simply perfect
You grown me up...my mind is noisy like that sound!
GreaT!
No words ... OASIS FOREVER!!!!
Whether you think Be Here Now was one of their top efforts or not, there is absolutely no denying that Liam's voice was at its absolute best during the Be Here Now era.
I can't stop watching this.

This is musical perfection.
Yes, Johnny Depp played on the studio version of the album, Be Here Now. He recorded his separate slide guitar tracks while on holiday is some island and then posted them to Noel.

97 was their best time - soundwise. 5 hour intro's and outro's, mad solos and liams vocals. not to mention him fucking around with the stange props all night and generally being completely off his head.
Wanna live in this video =) it's a perfection! Sorry all Beady Eye fans but Liam is just unable to create so deep and long masterpieces.
this is fucking rock
Liam is cutting some mean shapes at the start haha.
The audio of this isn’t from EC 97, it’s from the Hammerstein Ballroom NYC concert 1997.
This is the definition of RAWK.

Very simple too
