I recognised the dirt jumps. Now I have to head out to Daisy to sing "Turning Japanese-a" awesome! Haven't been their for a while I enjoyed bump.jumping the logs on that trail.
Thanks heaps. 👊 Yeah this one in particular is great fun, I’ve been a little too judgmental on Daisy overall in the past but in more recent times I’ve come to like the place. Thanks again.
Jesse they are awesome.. Daisy is what it says, it’s for Daisys as there is nothing tech and no real hills to tire you out. I thought you have ridden Daisy?
Always be Turning Japanese to me mate. It is a bloody fast track. It has been the last track for many a ride, therefore give it anything thats left on the tank. I can only dream of doing the jumps as good as these kids. Great video mate.
That jumps sesh at the end was ace, so many awesome young pinners around these days. Wish I could take 25 years off and do it all again on the bikes we have these days lol
Yeah these kids are awesome, they reminded of me n my mates at that age out digging and trying bigger gaps, how cool it would be to ride todays bike as a Teen.....
Awesome young talent at the end, also loved the manual over the skinny. I scratched my elbow up good the other day to man… Had one of my crank bros stomp 1 pedals fail on me!!
@@FlowmentumMTB got a nasty bruise on my hip also, elbow and hip. same exact spot from last crash!! everything just healed up also haha… got kneepads now tho.. it’s all good, I drink my milk and getting better at crashing also.. don’t want to crash, but can’t be to afraid of it not to keep trying!
@@mtbridersanonymous9152 soo true mate, Ive said for decades now that I expect a crash every ride I go out on, luckily we dont crash often but when we do it should be expected 😉👍
Hey Stephen thank you for the kind words, gratefully appreciated. I had allot of fun making this one... Both the elbow and knee have cleaned up nicely now but I just couldn’t avoid the bloody bed sheets. 👊
That was awesome mate thanks for the shout out , I can’t believe you remembered. I’m definitely gonna go check out your jump track, that looks great. That manual over the skinny on lace monitor was impressive 👍 it’s a shame daisy doesn’t have the same steepness as mount cotton , a lot more pedalling is required. Trailworx is currently revamping possum box and jumping ant and should be open to ride on Monday so I’m looking forward to riding it and seeing the work they’ve done . Thanks again mate , another great vid👌🏻
Nuh hadn’t forgotten at all mate, yep agree it would be awesome that section of Daisy was on a icee incline but it works well how it is, just fkn tiring for sure. I’m keen to ride Jumping Ant and PB when they open, should be good. Cheers
That place is so cool mate. I went and rode daisy hill 3 times when I was up in QLD, it was nice and close to where I was staying but I can’t remember doing lace monitor.
Yeah it’s OK, Daisy gets a little boring at times but I don’t mind it. Used to be called “Turning Japanese”. I’ll give you the full tour next time you’re up.
@@FlowmentumMTB thanks for that, I have Windows, trying to find a reasonable program, I've only just started out and had used Hitfilm Express (Free version) and have had some issues with it.

Great vid as always! I have a vid of lace monitor waiting for edit …….mines a vastly different riding experience…just quietly! I bloody love how fast and flowy you ride. Such a pleasure to watch. I think I need to get my ass back down to Coomera for a little air time! Can you 360 the jump you ET’d?
Hey Jules, cant wait to see your Lace Underwe, I mean Lace Monitor.. edit, i know it will be well worth the wait.. You know im always keen to meet you there or anywhere and help you progress as much as I can.... As for the 360 over the double. Not too sure as I’ve not tried but confident i could pull it off SOME of the time...
Hi Craig, I’m pretty new to mountain biking and trying to improve my technique and speed. Are you out of the saddle most of the time when riding, even when you’re pedaling? Cheers
Hey Nick, welcome to the awesome sport of MTBing... Tough question to answer as I’m out of the saddle as much as I am on it.. I sit when I’m Climbing and pedalling along flatter or smoother trails.. When I’m out of the saddle on trails its to help me increase or maintain my speed by pushing and pumping along the transitions and undulations of the trails.. Best advice I could offer is to practice allowing your knees and elbows to move more frequently, stay relaxed and allow the bike to move more freely underneath you.. It all takes time but you will improve every ride 👍
@@FlowmentumMTB thanks for the reply mate. The reason I ask is because if I try to pedal for extra speed while standing, it’s quite difficult to maintain balance without using the saddle for stability. So you would recommend using pumping to maintain/increase speed and that way, need for pedaling with reduce?
@@nickmcgraw2004 yes correct, only really applies to tech or rough or rocky trails but pedalling can in fact reduce speed or rob you of momentum which is what i love to push when i ride. Spotting the ups and downs on the trail surface and pushing and lightening your body weight in sync with these trail transitions to increase speed also keeps you in control, pedalling can create certain instability through the tech.. The other aspect may be allot harder for me to answer but when pedalling its important to allow the bike to move “slightly” left n right in sync with your pedal stroke, this allows full control, stability and allows a faster acceleration... A great example is to watch Pete in this video when he is in front and pedalling, you will notice how his bike moves around underneath him.. You have given me an idea, maybe I should do a short “How To Pedal and Sprint” tutorial....
Just as well you threw up where the jumps are or it would have been like 'how wet is daisy hill' haha Great viewing as always mate....And making some friends while you film 👌🏼🤣
Haha the good ole “how wet is Daisy”. Was great on the day, those kids were awesome, been annoying me daily since, when is the vid coming out, an hour, 2hrs? And that was just ours after secrete there riding lol.
Sorry Mark, just noticed I hadn’t replied to you, sorry. I couldn’t agree more as Lace Monitor is such an amazing trail but all flow and larger “Unintentional” gaps are just hard work due to the lack of incline for flow. It’s still super fun for sure.
To save yall asking the question, the dirt jumps are on Reserve Rd Upper Coomera on the Gold Coast...
Hahaha, I was literally just about to ask that.
