    I've never been to Mt. Cotton and am heading up there for Fox Superflow this Saturday! I'm super keen and the trails look mint! I loved the video mate and I'm definitely subscribed. Will I be seeing you there on Saturday?

      You are in for an absolute treat Elliot! Some of the best riding you can find in Queensland. I'll be there on Saturday but unfortunately won't be racing due to injury. Give me a shout if you see me.

    Great to see someone actually provide uncut footage of their experience on the trails. Trails are very muddy and dangerous atm due to weather.

      That's what I'm here for, to give you a bit of a guide to what to expect on the trails. :) Was keen to hit it this weekend but of course the rain beat me to it, hopefully traffic was low/none this weekend as those fresh sections probably need a bit of time to bed in. Can't catch a break with all the rain!

    Hey Aidan, great vid. Unfortunately a yellow line means NO PARKING even if you're on the footpath or the dirt and not touching the road. If there's a yellow line on the road the Council revenue collectors will find you and hit you up and make you pay for their Christmas party.

      Think you might be onto a winner here Anthony, I'll make a note for future visits to NOT park on the lines. I'm anticipating much confusion and complaints around the corner after a Sunday morning blitz in the future. :P

      You certainly started your SEQ riding journey with a bang Jason! Absolutely stoked that YOU are so stoked about the trails and the videos around SEQ. Believe it or not, there are spots that I haven't been to yet. So plenty more videos for you to enjoy in the future. Thank you for your kind words and I might see you on the trails! :D

    With you on pretty much every point.
    I went out there on Tuesday for the first time post-cleanup. Westys and Blacking Out are now a little out of my pay grade. I can get my bike down them, but it is realistically more like "barely controlled survival" than riding.
    The jumps are all so booty, too. Squash and case hard, is pretty much my go to.
    The chute on Blacking Out looks way chunkier, but I don't know if that is just lack of recent exposure for me as it was with you?
    Anyway. Fun times ahead getting comfortable with it all, again.

    • @BicycleCurious
      @BicycleCurious  2 года назад

      Another member of the squish and case club! :P Glad I'm not the only one thinking the chute looks scarier now... I think I might be right for next visit but as we know, features like this is all about the mental game. Plus it's always fun to 're-progress' on old favourites.

    Welcome back aiden great video. They way I understand the road rules can’t park on a yellow line, but guessing it’s a grey area when your technically not on the road. I’ve not been to Mount Cotton so I’m guessing parking is a pain, maybe Redlands could build a car park in the vicinity if there’s land for it?

    • @BicycleCurious
      @BicycleCurious  2 года назад +1

      Thanks Kevin, good to publish a video again after the rain! They actually do have a few purpose built carparks at Cotton. However they are right at the bottom of the hill and requires a fire road or trail climb up to get to the gravity trails. You will have to head out and have a look yourself sometime soon!

      @@BicycleCurious ewww hills so parking on the roadside it is. Aiden I’ve made up my mind this year that I need to explore more trails, I’m starting off with Nerang next month. Believe me Mt Cotton is on the list

  • @mitchjones1672

    Nice work. I thought you might throw up a Mt Cotton video soon enough. Looks like it’s running nice with a lot more oomph on the jumps.
    Pretty sure you can’t park where there are yellow lines. I generally park in one of the car parks before the roundabout and ride Leolands to the first trailhead. It’s a good warmup for the legs.
    Are we going to see any Mt. Buller vids?

    • @BicycleCurious
      @BicycleCurious  2 года назад +1

      Thanks Mitch, as soon as I heard it was open again I knew I had to get out with the GoPro. On the yellow lines I think I will just avoid parking there to see if others start to cop fines. :P And YES Buller is coming... it's a big video so taking a bit longer to get out (amongst other things/procrastination).
