But if you listen to the docs it also had a lot of downsides, like that they had to constantly fight over whether that "spontaneous moment" was genius enough to be on an album.
@@altpress They deserve to be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame because of their achievement and how they inspires everyone to be in a band and making music.
I was going through apple music and found an album by Robb Lamar called Underoath. It has they same artwork as erase me? Dont know whats going with that
I think it worked best for the style they're going for now. I didn't like Erase Me at all when it first released, but it's grown on me now (at least most of the songs). I just had to drop all the expectations I had for it and embrace the fact that Underoath is a different band now.
Man, I still listen to They're Only Chasing Safety, Define the Great Line, Lost in the Sound of Separation and Disambiguation to this day, all these years later. I put down Erase me after three or four listens and have no interest in listening to it again. Such a disappointment.
Because these guys have matured into men over the years; starting families can do that to you. Aaron and Spence have either let the responsibilities of life (or lack thereof) turn them into low key pricks who take themselves way too seriously.
Yep Aaron and Spencer think they’re under oath yet they wouldn’t be shit with out these dudes period aaron great drummer horrible technique hits to hard but has great showmanship. Spencer I mean come on he’s replaceable in my eyes. But for them two being a mediocre drummer and a mediocre singer thinking they’re gods gift to music better step off there high horses and realize there’s always better and appreciate the other band members. They’ve both said in interviews that if the rest of the band wasn’t gonna be back on board they would go off and do it there selves. That right there shows you what they think of the rest of the band. Flat out Spencer is a fucking tool.
5:32 is 100% accurate as to how guitarists communicate.
5:32 i love that i recognized every single one of these. Diasmbiguation is underrated still to this day, so many great riffs on that thing.
I think the no pre-production step was the best part of your recording process. Just raw music. That's why it was so powerful.
so interesting to say. maybe this plays apart in the new album . too much structure can ruin inspiration and spontaneous moments:(
But if you listen to the docs it also had a lot of downsides, like that they had to constantly fight over whether that "spontaneous moment" was genius enough to be on an album.
Yeah they preferred this process for Erase Me because they felt closer as a band and everyone’s ideas were shared and contributed equally.
The "drowning in my sleep" church was heartland church in Kissimmee, it has a different name now but at the time it was called heartland church.
Tim looks dead exhausted. Hope these guys get the family time they're talking about at the beginning.
Finally I know who play the chorus of It's Dangerous Business...
5:43 Trying to describe "My Deteriorating Incline", describes "A Divine Eradication"
Bring Me The Horizon covering Paper Lung in the Sempiternal style. Always thought Oli had some of Spee's sound in his screams during that record.
5:30 yes... Literally me and my bandmates when we're discussing about songs... And Tim is really me.
izmalcheahmad Those guys are hilarious. Underøath is a national treasure.
@@altpress They deserve to be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame because of their achievement and how they inspires everyone to be in a band and making music.

Why does Tim always look like he's been in the sun ? He always looks so hot.

@@fireash861 as far as we know its just that show and 1 more by themselves but we'll see
They sound like me and the guitarist in my band tryin to figure out a riff in a certain song to figure out how to play the rest. Lol
I think these dudes are genuinely funny.
💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯
Dudley looking studly....
Lol "My Deteriorating Incline" is already a very ETID-esque song. Don't think Keith and crew would change much.
Tim is so funny

Same. Was very sad about it, but I bought it to support them.
Oh, also listen to the Dallas records too.
Erase me is fantastic. You just don’t have an open mind.
@@tronlorne9328 wrong its not very good all around. LITSOS is their best album
I hate to admit that too. 😣
So, why does this interview seem more laid back, as opposed to Aaron’s and Spencer’s?

Chris, I love you man, but you look like you're about to ask for the manager!
Chris looking like a fucking snack

Guy with the beard has piercing eyes man. Look into your soul
Y’all should ask them what it’s like to make a shitty record
Tim seems like he would be really annoying to be around lol
Why cause he's not a sheep?
Dam there getting old lol
Tim kinda looks like daniel bryans homeless cousin
