@@Matt-vo1ge lmfao I'm literally laughing my ass off because we get a lot of wasp and this year left them alone and that alone is loud when there's hundreds eating your fermenting apples. They get drunk af and will ride on our Jeep for at least 2-3 miles which is way beyond their normal range and they fly drunk af too. It's hilarious and your comment is so relatable and mostly true.

I went with 80kw 110kv motors on 36 in carbon tri blades, in my design. Just waiting on some style inspiration and $5k then I'll build.

Hey Jetson - just wondering, what type of motors are yall using on here? I'd like to see the specs on them. Have yall changed the motors at all as you've made each progressive model better and better, or have yall stayed with the same motors? Thanks!
I'm writing a post on the Jetson ONE, and if you look back on their facebook, they have changed the motors from the first couple models.
I'm ready to convert paper with numbers on it into one if these.

Pretty cool. I imagine 15ish minutes flight time before needing recharge.

They claim its endurance is 20 minutes and has software-limited speed of 102km/h

@Wipsplash - I think that somebody should make an Open Source version of this. There are already Open source quadcopter & octocopter drones. This design looks relatively barebones & simple, so I wonder why it can't be open-sourced for enthusiasts to build on, develop and tinker with? That could probably help to bring the cost down, and make it more accessible to enthusiasts.

@@Jetsonaero I’m curious if this is going to be against the law to fly this flying vehicle over an on going traffic.(Whether on highways or street driveways).Im sure that there will be lots of laws on riding in one of those.Looks so fun to ride in but I hate that the flying time is limited to just 20 minutes,as mentioned on there website.Even though the flying time is actually based on a persons weight.I bet having this flying vehicle would give drug cartels a way to smuggle drugs into the United States.Thats another reason why I believe there may be lots of laws on this type of vehicle being sold to the public.Some people may get carried away while riding in one of these.The list goes on.Some people could rob places with this vehicle or fly it into restricted areas.

Is there a real living person within the cockpit during this flight? Has the FAA granted authorization for "Manned Flight"? Or was a manned flight performed without this authorization?
If it is an ultralight you do not need authorization from the FAA for flight.

@@dennistucker1153 Yes also why the speed is limited to 63mph so that it can stay in the FAA part 103(ultralight) category. So license, training, not required at all if you are riding in it. If you are flying it like a drone, all the other drone regulations would apply. Actually more regulated if you are not flying in it, which is ironic.
