My biggest hope for the new anime series where ash travels to all the tegions again is that the protagonists get to meet characters that never got an in depth arc or were even omitted, like Hugh

His had Arcanine since when they got on Team Plasma’s ship with Hugh and Cherry after in game wise you beat the PWT for the first time he commanded it to use Bite against Seviper before Hugh’s Samurott used ice beam. Lucario was shown against Colress and using Aura Sphere against shadow triad when they frozen Opelucid City to get the DNA splicer back. Now that I thing about why did he have a fire/fighting starter if he was going to catch another fire type and another dual fighting/another type Pokémon.
This dude is underrated, theme is underrated, everything about this guy is underrated, dude needs to be featured as a fightable opponent in future games
He's one if not the best rival in the franchise, having his little sister's pokemon stole, a gift of his dead grandpa, just to see it again in team plasma side, forgetting about his old friend and fighting against, bringing out the pokeball morality question. It's just such a simple story but it put so much perspective in pokémon, and that's so relatable. People who hates him because he wants to find the Purrloin and not being the strongest like the 74832949th time in the franchise are stupid, heartless, or both.
Challenge mode, without switching my Pokémon... It'so fucking exciting to play like this way because you (almost) never know if you're going to win or not
In case you see Zorua in the scene from 6:56 beside Rood (I think it’s that one Seven Sage’s name), that is when you haven’t collect Zorua that is requested by N to be given out to you as a gift in Driftveil City after visiting Rood in the cliff house at the North of the city. Talk to Rood, he’ll tell your character the past story of N, and then he’ll pass Zorua to you to be one of your partner as a gift.

I remembered i used to grind levels on him all day long until i was over leveled against the elite four Other than that i just grinded on Colress because better team and more of a challenge
I remember the postgame Undella Town fight being hard because of his Serperior (I chose Oshawott). Much later, I discovered this extra fight when my team’s levels were in the 80s. Needless to say, even Challenge Mode did not prevent this fight from being a pushover.
The eagerness of Hugh wanting to fight Neo Team Plasma deep down in his heart in order to let them pay what they did in the past that let every person every team grunts passed by turned into havoc… the passion and feeling… well coping into the battle theme of Hugh. One of the greatest Rival to ever be at your side and companion along your journey, you don’t even have to be scared of your friend that sometimes does things a bit… violent, I should say? 😅
Well since everybody's giving out their teams members here and since I'm a year late and noone will care here's my final team for the E4: Ivy the Serperior Leo the Lucario Ampy the Ampharos Eso the Crobat Oreo the Flygon Pearl the Vaporeon
Man I wish they just made the challenge mode available for both editions of the game by default. Kinda stupid that you need a specific version of the game for such a great feature. Pokemon games always needed more challenge :(
He even took down that Lv. 70 Kyurem using Lv. 68 Flygon with only one move!!!!! That’s how much we know from our greatest most coolest rival. Hugh is really the strongest Rival in existence ladies and gentlemen 👏👏👏👏

They should bring back the different difficulty modes in future games, I loved playing the game on challenge mode
