Gabriel is an absolute class act, what a diamond.
I have also spent an inordinate amount of time at that services outside Berlin. I got stranded there with my dog after the cooach we were taking from Blighty to Poland broke down, I was looking at a 20 hour wait for he back up coach from the uk!! so I utilised my non-existent German and very rudimentary Polish to try and sort something out, after several hours I noticed a bloke who had a flat tyre and no jack, so I found him one and helped him change the wheel. in return he gave me and the dog a ride all the way to Lodz!! which was awesome.. Poles are a very helpful bunch in general, and will go out of their way to help you if they can. yet another fabulous adventure Tom, and if you ever fancy a trip to Polannd drop me line or two. Jai
One of the best videos I’ve ever watched on RUclips, ever.
Gabriel, what an absolute dude!! Great to see this
What a beautiful journey and video. Life is all about moments. These are the moments that makes our memories when we look back. Wandering is just so satisfying and makes you feel alive. Meeting and talking with so many random people which they are included in only some couple of moments of your whole life with all that moments is just a beautfiul thing.
And the raider on the cake. You've got fans.
I had a smile throughout this video, what a fun watch, your quirky British humour is always endearing to me haha love it
Just got back from travelling Europe with my mate. We went to a few locations from the “how not to travel Europe” series. We went to Berlin for the final as proud England fans. This man is a legend, and we completed our adventure because of him.
Chris is solid. Glad he supported you
What an incredible video. So glad you got to see the game it really rounded off the journey.
And if the Wealdstone Raider says you’ve got fans then you know you’re big time.
From the 'How not to travel' , 'Straight line Missions' to this Mad Adventure reminds me of my impromptu Mad hitch hiking younger days. Simply love what you do. Keep the spirit.
As a Canadian, I can't find words for the comradery that football gives to bind the Englishmen together. We love our hockey but it isn't even on the same planet as the spirit in this video. What an adventure!
There are a lot of negatives with the England fan behaviour (that ofc can't be shown) alas :(
@@kimchi_b Apparently the German police were fairly happy with how England fans reacted.
As much as I hate to admit it for our hockey enjoyers at home, the football fans are simply top tier.
@@kimchi_bCanadian hockey fans absolutely levelled Vancouver in 2011, I think there was even a few sexual assaults thrown in.
@@kimchi_b When I was 25ish I was crossing the channel on a jet ferry to Hoek Van Holland to take the train to Amsterdam and aboard were this group of late 30s English guys behaving as immature as can be heading to some sports thing annoying everyone. I couldn't believe my eyes. Such a bizarre scene.
I don't care so much about football, or England, or any team for that matter but your video (as always) ended up with me with a huge grin on my face and thirst for travel and meeting new people. Cheers from France, continue doing what you do best
Gabriel was an absolute angel. Good thing you didn't stay in that hotel after all. It's a shame that England couldn't do their bit to finish it off, I was gutted when I watched it at home.
Awesome video dude! The energy of the English football fans is astounding! And cheers to everyone who picked you up, especially the Polish dude and the British guy in the camper, legends.
Gabriel you're a legend Sir. Polish people are incredible. True examples of how to integrate into communities and work hard. 🎉
Tom, you are a legend man! And so is everyone who picked you up!
This whole trip was not only bold but also an epic success (not minding the outcome of the game of course...)!
As a Spaniard who's a fan of you, I enjoyed every second of this video, if that makes sense. You'll get us next time!
Any chance you'll dribble a football along the Camino de Santiago?
it's funny to finally know a place of your journey by heart! in 34:12 you see my office window. Behind the Stelenfeld (memorial for the killed jews in World War II) there's the representations of the german federal states! Been to the fanzone a few times, but that's the first time I'm sad England lost the final. Hope you still enjoyed, Tom!
I hitchhiked to Frankfurt (from Dover) about 20 years ago. met some amazing people- the Belgium Go-Kart champion, a super posh lady who had a lovely Merc, some Turkish builders who gave us a tour of their work and a baby who looked like Bob Marley. best trip of my life
As Polish i am so proud of this driver, happy that you successed
This is fucking amazing! Great hitchhiking video plus seeing Russ and getting into the stadium to watch the final, what a trip!
Gabriel is such a legend! Wow !
Feel like Gabriel lived up to his name by being a total angel.
Chanting "shove your warm weather up your arse" literally had me howling. Tom, you are the man! 😂
This was such an awesome video! Love to see the hospitality of those who gave you a lift.
What a gem! Love from Germany!
What a man Gabriel is, we need more Gabriel’s
Hardest geezer coming in clutch 🔥
Tom, this sorta stuff is my favorite content from you, even more then the straight lines. I love seeing the interactions with good wholsome people. You're walk north with a ten quid note last summer was one of my favorites. Keep up the great work!
I'm glad I knew how this ended ahead of time.
An enjoyable video Tom . I used to hitchhike all the time back in the 90's Your journey resonated and brought back both the pain and elation of success. Keep doing what you do . Best wishes
Absolutely amazing video! Love it
Good video really enjoyed the content thanks for making such an effort to entertain us!.
And dont feel too bad as beating Spain isn't for everyone! 🏴
"it's written in the stars, we are going to win"
Thats unfortunate 😂
You'll get it next go!
Props to all these nice people picking you up!
Gabriel is an absolute legend!
Absolutely crazy that you glossed over the 5 mile walk. In my mind that's the best bit! The hype.
I'm in two minds about this video being a Spanish football fan and a GeoWizard fan. Firstly, I was incredibly happy for you that you A. made it to Berlin with plenty of time to spare and B. ended up in the stadium. Incredible to think none of that would have ever happened had you not taken a chance and gone for it 3 days prior. But as a fan of La Roja all I have to say you never had a chance and stay classy English fans. Hasta pronto!
Tom, you are an inspiring figure, and truly a good bloke. It was a joy following you along this adventure.
Gabriel the MVP!
I wanna have a pivo with Gabriel. Such a nice guy
Loved the video Tom. Thanks!
Much love from Hamburg ❤
You bloody english Madman 😅
What a story Tom. Absolutely amazing! You're a legend for taking on a journey like that in the way you did it. To get a ticket to the stadium also, that was awesome. What an ending to the video it would have been, if England won! Epic mate!
