Yes! With music inevitably I have to put on subtitles to be able to understand the audio. Background noise is the curse of the hearing impaired. And that means I have to keep going back so I can follow what’s happening on the screen that I missed while I was reading. Really really irritating.
First time I've actually played along with you Tom and I can't believe I managed to just pip you at 23025 all because of that last round! It was the only one I got a perfect score on as well! What was really interesting was the way we went the exact same way on every round except the last as well, I took a right turn at the no-entry sign and there just so happened to be the "Quality Hotel Fredrikstad" there.. mad how a bit of luck at a junction is the difference!
On Belgian round, zooming into that advert in the beggining was giving a town and region, and then for me it was just finding La Louviere on map in like 10 seconds and I had like 2:30 to scan the streets.
The way you spotted those streetnames outta nowhere and cluctched those rounds was incredible, this has got to be one of your luckiest games ever! Awesome video, Tom!
16:39 Another Norway tip for you. "Øst" means East, and it refers to the part of Norway roughly between Røros (located south-east of Trondheim) and all the way south to Arendal (costal town between Drammen and Kristiansand) "Sparebanken Øst" = "Savingsbank East". Which can help narrow it down.
Well if we're giving tips, remember guys... Japan isn't actually part of Europe. * * * Neither, as it turns out, is Mexico. Who knew? Yeah, for those of you in the top 50% of scorers... I perform a vital service in keeping you up there.
Noticed that Sparebanken øst sign, now as a Swede I understand Norwegian, but I don’t now all geography. But it looked like a costal place and together with Øst that would sent me to the area south of Oslo to the Swedish border.
this is all we want, honeslty this was more entertaining if anything, just upload what you want man. Dont think too deep into how GOOD the editing or how big of a guess it is, just upload this normal genuine stuff. And the ADVENTURES

My first playalong where I actually beat you in 3 years of being a sub. For the first 4 rounds I've done so well and was so proud of myself and then I saw you do even better, a lot better. The last round I went opposite direction as you and I couldn't find anything to even say it's Norway for sure for about 2 minutes and then I saw a tiny little sign that pointed to Oslo to the north 20 seconds to go. 23982 is my final score.
SUCH a good video. Super captivating throughout. Hyped for the drawing british counties vid, and geodetective... and straight line across england haha you're spoiling us right now Tom ;)
Thomas, what a fantastic video! Thank you. I have watched this on my phone with one of my 6 week old twins on my chest... I felt like I was introducing him to an old friend! ❤
First time I've ever played along, I got 21590 :) I got the last couple pretty close, thanks to reading :) The last norway one you went past the library, which is where i found the name of the city. Great fun, thanks!
Loved this video. Still amazed by your skills and its way more fun to look at you exploring the streets and all, better than that flashy stuff from a guy like rainbolt (idk is that how hes called?)
Im from norway and although i dont consider myself very good at recognizing places in my country. For example i thought the first place was Kristiansand, which was certainly not right. But in the last one I noticed "Sparebanken Øst" which is a bank in norway, and they only exist in the eastern parts of norway, "Øst" is east in norwegian. Since it was coastal it could only really be one of at most 3 cities. Its the same general thing with Sparebanken Sør, "Sør" is south in norwegian and the bank only exists in the southern parts of the country, might be useful at some point in your GeoGuessr career :P Idk if theres a West and North version of that bank, if there is, ive never seen it. Great video as always, i really love these GeoGuessr videos of yours.
I finally beat your score for the first time. I lucked out with 2 norway rounds being from norway at all, but still got close to 5k at all other maps so quite happy with this. 24833
Incredible work. Reminds me of those Jason Bourne or similar movies when the subject is in a location and they find it from the photo in seconds. Except you are doing it yourself. So impressive to find two just yards apart.
That first round was acutally crazy for me. I found nothing but ocean to the east and lined up the other side of the coast to get 4998! One of my best moving guesses with 0 info ever. Ended up with 237-- something. Wp Tom, love the chill content!
First four rounds were unreal but that last one showed complacency. You went from scouting the map thoroughly for signs to spending the entire time thinking about where you'd been on holiday (as if it was relevant!) Need to keep focused till the end! But amazing score overall
The last one was difficult. I first noted Tønsberg or Drammen, because of the bridge and canal/river, but did not recognise much else. So I crossed the fjord to Fredrikstad, because many of the older houses looked more Swedish/Baltic in style. But I have only been there once, 25 years ago. Then I saw a sign with "Plankebyen", (the board/plank town) and was sure. Fredrikstad used to be a major shipping port for lumber and sawmill produce, hence the nickname. Only Norwegians know this! Still, very impressive last-second results, GW.

Can we talk about how great that third round was? I know he says in the video that he was impressed with himself after the first two, but that third round was excellent. At first glance, it could've been in The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, or even France. He went for info, found what he needed, narrowed in on Belgium, and ended up nearly getting a perfect score. All in less than 3 minutes. And with what seemed like less info than he had in the first two rounds (or at the very least, less immediately available info).
Amazing game Tom, you were so unlucky on that last round, at 17:15, that building that said Litteraturhuset (library?) had Fredrikstad written by the door, that was the only way I worked it out. I find it useful to look at civic/municipal buildings because they always have names of town and state logos on them.

As for the last round, you passed a bank with the name Sparebanken Øst. Øst means East and refers to Østlandet, which is the southeastern part of Norway. Basically Oslo and it's surrounding areas
Managed to beat you in the last round. I got good scores in the first 4 rounds, but I was behind.
