I get confused by listings with too many products or extras in them. Good tip! I've used a white poster board from the dollar store for YEARS! I just got a light box and it's been a game changer, especially since I shoot mostly at night or have bad lighting due to WA weather 😁
Awesome tips! Best tip in my opinion is to start by using poster boards! I was getting ready to go to Michael’s and purchase one of those photo light boxes for $80! Thank you!!
I’ve done all that you mentioned and I guarantee there are much better ways for all of it. I think you’re very well spoken though. If you would add overlays to your video, so people can see all the steps you’re describing it would make your video much better and they would enjoy this part of the learning process more. Good luck to you. I truly wish you the best.
Great video, love that you share your personal tips! My favorite one was about the distracting background, thankfully I made that mistake yet, but rlly good advice!
When I tried to list my first item, a yellow triangle with an exclamation point popped up and said best photos are 2000 pixels wide. But no helpful additional info was there. How do I tell what pixel size that photo is?
100% photos still come into play. You need to be able to create an image to your customer to showcase what the product will look like for them. Mockups are most helpful!
Great tips as always. I'm definitely going to try to get more pictures on each of my listings. I struggle with lighting though. Whether it's with a camera or a phone, I don't seem to be able to consistently get bright, crisp pictures even though I have a light box.
If you have a light and a soft box, you really don’t need to upgrade your camera to get better lighting. Sure it’d be nice, but try using a window or a second light if you need the extra light. No need to spend money on a new camera when phones can do the trick. If worse comes to worse, buy a new lens before your get a new camera
How can I do photos of clothing? I’m selling crochet tops along with other items and accessories, but cannot figure out how to best get pictures of them
Hi Lauren. Can you please help me out? I'm an older person and not so good with technology. I'm trying to make some money by selling my crafts on Etsy. Want to cry because I cannot even get my profile pic to post correct. As many times as I take the picture when uploading it to Etsy it ends up sideways. I do not know how to flip it. My listings pics are okay but a bit big. Ugh....I would pay someone to help me. Any help would be appreciated more than you know
@@reneeshearer Hi Renee. Yes I could still use your help. As mentioned I'm technically challenged. I know it states your pictures have to be a certain size and I'm also clueless how to get them to that size. I've googled trying to figure it out and gave up. I've not been able to sell anything since I messaged you. Any assistance or tips would be appreciated more than you know.
@@kellyzylke-roth8780 I should be able to help you. Do you have an email address I can contact you at? Or I could contact you through Etsy if you list your shop name.
Hi Lauren. I bought your Etsy group list a few months ago. But pinning is really not easy manually on a daily basis. Could you still advise tools like tailwind? In one recent video you said that Pinterest does not like "spamming" anymore and does not let it go. What do you mean by spamming, does it mean that automated pining adds shouldn't be used anymore?
Hi Lauren I’m selling photo art. Should I upload my images as web sized and should I include my copyright logo on them. All prints are custom made. What size do you recommend uploading at.
Hi, Lauren. I am new to your channel. And i am also a beginner in Etsy. I tried to add new listing to my Etsy shop, which it's has not open yet do to problem with the download. I had convert my HEIC pictures JPG, but it didn't work. What can i do?
Love your videos Lauren. I’m using print on demand services for my shop. I have over 150 mugs listed and I’m not about to order that many samples to photo shoot. How can I enhance my photos Etsy provides? Please help. Arghh!!!!
@@LaurenHeathCreative any particular mug mock up links you’d recommend? I know there’s so many but I’d like to look at some professionally photographed ones.
this video does not actually show how to open a photo, how to edit, how to put the correct pixels, how to resize, how to size up the file size how to save in the Etsy file format, It is a lot of bla, blah, blah, nothing sustantive. Most Etsy future sellers are looking for the know how to edit a photo, noone is looking for models or makeup usage or voice pitch. Sorry to be blant
lol you big mad huh? This video isn’t about photo editing. Just because you wanted it to be something it wasn’t and felt like leaving that toxic comment is hilarious.

Will definitely be going back to shooting on my camera and switching to a whiteboard so I can move it closer to natural light. Thanks!
Rlly love how genuine your videos are! The go much deeper than the basic tips most people give!
Thank you!

Yes definitely!
Hi, which pixel values should I use? Is there a best stansard value for this?

If you’re selling digital products would photos still come into play? Or would you just do mock-ups and screenshot your digital product?

You may need to upgrade the camera you are using and possibly even do post editing for an app

I like the white posterboard tip. :)
Thank you so much. This really helps.
Glad it helped!

I’d find a model!
Great Video! Can't beat natural lighting
Great video. Wonderful tips. THANK YOU
Thanks for watching!
Hi Lauren, thank you for the video. Do you know why Etsy makes my high resolution photos (4000*5000) blurry after uploading them?
Great Commentary! ❤

What was the name of the camera? What type of item would you use to display ornaments?
Canon m50. I would use a hook, some jewelry displays may work, an actual Christmas tree!

Spamming would be pinning to the same pin multiple times over 50+ times a day. I would recommend Tailwind to help automate your process!

That all depends on you and your business. I can not give a straight answer

Lighting was the best thing I got. My house is dark. I’m going to start taking my pictures outside
Love it!
Thanks for the tips! 👏🏻

Awesome as usual
Thank you so much 😀
I take photos for all my platforms AND etsy is the worst. I have to use an image compressor so weird.
I was looking for mockups the other day and when I hovered over certain listing the mockup showed up all filled out, does anyone know how to do that?
Thanks Lauren!
You're so welcome!
