Real music, from a good heart and deep soul. No drum machines, no auto tune, no multiple takes.
Welles works for over a decade and makes no headway in music. Then he strips away everything. No band. No production values. No nice gear. He wandered into the woods with a funny old guitar so it's just pure, unadulterated Welles, and it's what we were all waiting for without even knowing it.

As a singer, I'd imagine that can be pretty fucking devastating, And I hope that if he worried, He can rest assured now that he found a good Lane. That said, If it's just a way that he can work his voice and still has his more polished version, Good on him!

There is nothing like good music to stimulate your inner feelings make you feel alive, happy, put a smile on your face you feel joyful. I have felt all of these emotions while listening to this young man. The wonderful thing about good music age has nothing to do with it because it takes us to a different place it is wonderful. This young man has a very special talent, he has been blessed. I think age is just a no, we are as old as we think, it is best not to get hung up on a number if we are healthy. Just to echo the general sentiment: youre something really special, hope you really know that. Seemingly writing songs like someone blows their nose, but theyre such well written songs: REAL music from the heart that hits the listener right in theirs. Truly special; so happy to have found your music, thanks for making it.

Although I do give youtube money for no commercials (smartest move ever as adblocker makes everything jumpy). When Jesse pours his album on wax I will buy 5 copies for me and my friends. I will drive up to a 300 mile radius to see hm. If I can get a ticket:) Let's make sure to support him and his journey. Free is good...but it is still a 4-letter word to the Troubadour on the road...💸

This is my favorite song of yours, Jesse. Incredible lyricism, I can tell you sing what you know and your way of speech is really delightful. I cannot stop listening and contemplating, but I guess that is the purpose, eh.

I watched my dad die last week and all I can manage is sitting on my porch for >5hours screaming Jesse's lyrics. Nothing ever hurt me so bad, but this music warms my bones.

Aw man, I feel for you deeply - thank goodness for music in these situations.
My uncle died of a heart attack at my house last week and I’m right here with you, sitting on my porch right now chaining smoking and drinking coffee letting this music heal my soul.
      Virtual hugs my friend 🫂❤️‍🩹

Its like God fuzed Morrison and Jagger in appearance, with the voice and charisma of Dylan. The style is great -not entirely his own innovation - but the literary substance? Ingenious. Unique. Can't get enough!!! What Jesse has done is something I've never seen or even conceived of before. He seems to have fused social commentary with American folk...it still breaks my brain how specific and direct he can preach about the absurdity of our society without interfering with the flow of the music. Can't say enough about how good this motherfucker is, and it's a tragedy that today's celebrity (puppet) music industry suppresses artists like him, whereas in the golden era of creative freedom that was most of the last century, I've no doubt he would've been an absolute superstar from the jump. But who knows, maybe in time he will reach that level as I believe he deserves.

All these comments of how he sounds like others, I personally think he is unique in his own right. As far as all the comparisons I believe he is absolutely on their level, no doubt. Mr Welles I love what you have done and hope you bless us with your amazing ability to weave tapestries in song for many years to come.

Bro I hope you know what you have here, and how important this kind of thing is in our times. You could fulfill millions of people's wishes for music to be good again. You have enough material, for a couple albums, more importantly, say you come out with a first album, you have enough classics for an album with zero filler, and every song to be a hit
