It is good if main compartment has zipper for extra protection.
Main comparment should have zipper too. Talking about communiting, it is not really safe for the main compartment not having zipper where thieves can really grab your stuff, that flap with double magnetic locks is useless to be honest. Obviously these people don’t use the train and talk about commuting. 😑

that's my concern too. it's so easy to get items stolen because of the lack of zipper or drawstring close for th main compartment

Here we go again. Herschel straying away from their trademark light colored red and white interior. A simple minor detail it may be, but it makes it easier to see items deep in your bag in low light at night. Might as well overpay for Peak Design’s product. These brand isn’t differentiating from competitors at all. Jansport has almost identical products…

I'm disappointed because I really wanted to buy this backpack but I can't now that I realize there's no zipper or drawstring closure for the main compartment. Magnets offer no security whatsoever and for someone carrying around $1,000 laptop I just can't take that risk. Really wish you guys would have thought this through better, especially considering it's marketed for commuting
