The story of William falling face forwards... is that real? Because I've heard literally the same story about Julius Caesar too! When he went to North Africa to fight Cato and Scipio, he also fell in a similar fashion, and exclaimed while clutching the sand in his hands: "Africa! I've got hold of you now".
I had nearly the same thoughts, thinking I'd read the same thing before. A couple of comments: 1) I obviously wasn't there LOL so I can't say, but 2) it comes right out of Churchill's book Birth of Britain which is my primary source material, and 3) people in those ages (and for hundreds of years after still) IDOLIZED the Greek and Roman heroes of classic times, and were all very educated on those classics. It's very possible (and even likely) that the Conqueror imitated Caesar.
You can rename kid's. You can rename people that are of your House and I believe your dynasty and possibly of your blood that might have different last name. Right click their face and click on the feather quil in the ink jar and then rename them.
