  • New House. Unpack with me ONE YEAR LATER!!! Unpack, Declutter, Organize my Kitchen with Me.
Hello Friends! I finally feel ready to finish unpacking, decluttering and organizing what's left of my move. I have about half of a garage filled with boxes that need my attention. In this unpack with me video, I will be working on kitchen boxes. I have to unpack, declutter and organize the remaining items I unpack into my kitchen. I'll definitely have more video like this to share, stay tuned!
Thank you for all of your support and patience during this LONGGGGGG process! Hugs, xoxoxo

About Me: Hello! My name is Erika, I am a wife and stay at home mom. I created my channel to keep busy while I learned to navigate life as a SAHM and to give myself accountability to get things done around my home. We recently moved from Arizona to Texas and downsized (2800 sq ft to 1200 sq ft). I've documented our downsizing journey from the beginning starting with decluttering and getting rid of over 50% of our belongings. I'm not an expert, I am just sharing our journey, along with my thoughts and struggles I encounter in the process. Now that we are in our new space I will be sharing with you how we get settled and organized into a much smaller home while maintaining a sense of minimalism. Being minimal is the only way our new home will work for us. I hope you decide to stick around!

Erica if you haven’t used or even needed the things that were packed should you even keep it?? Maybe just part with it 👍🏼😉❤️🇨🇦

  • @tracym707

💕😀 Glad you got rid of old expired food. We all feel down from time to time so I understand I too have been down for about 3 years now. Sending hugs to you and your family.

  • @HoloHoloAdventures

We are a spice family as well. Ron loves to buy new seasoning every month so we got a collection. You really did have a lot of containers.

  • @SheWolfMom

Thanks for being here with me on this LONGGG journey…… it’s not over yet, be sure to stay tuned for more videos like this ❤

  • @mjs.2000

Good job 👏 🤗 proud of you

  • @katehill7675

I'm so glad you tossed the expired and other pantry food. Like you mentioned, the garage gets very hot and food stored in there goes bad quickly. Watching you organize all those spices made me laugh. We have salt and pepper...and that's about it. LOL We are ready for Christmas, tree is up, lights are hung. However, I can wait on the Christmas music for a while. LKMH

  • @ginahernandez3219

Well that’s good that you are putting them in a box instead of going out to buy containers. Hopefully for the holidays you can use them. Thanks for sharing your motivation, Erika ❤

  • @mjs.2000

The shelf above the basket is a lot of verticle space. Maybe a wire cabinet shelf would have to have a second level.

  • @labbrockington7854

Erika, great job. It was sad to see you dump out food but totally understand why. I had to dump out some flour before thanksgiving mine was over a year old. Sorry you left pans back in Arizona. Remember if its been packed up for a year you dont have to keep it because you have already gone with out it for so long. Your doing amazing job keeping your home organized. Yes the holiday season is here and very hard. Made it through thnksgiving becaus my best friend. Now I'll walk through Christmas one hour at a time.

  • @0JReynolds

That was a big job especially when you are trying to integrate everything. WOW girl, you all really love your spices 😂.That was a lot of boxes does your garage feel lighter? How much more is left to unpack? That’s the nosy, organization, mama and me.😂. Good job 🎉 Love you ~ Janet 😘

  • @dianakorzen4005

That really sucks that all that food had to get dumped, but it being expired and stored in your hot garage, it is what it is! Glad you got that last bit of kitchen stuff unpacked!

  • @karensamuels390

Hint...i would grab the armload, set it on the counter behind me, repeat several times, then go around to the other side and put them away. You are wearing yourself out by walking all around again and again with an armload! I am too lazy to make all those trips back and forth.

  • @kathleensmith79

We are doing well in Pittsburgh! After two moves in a year I think I am fairly organized for now lol! I have the same organizer you do. We love your channel and look forward to your videos!

  • @paigemarcantel3943

Was this the last of your boxes? You did amazing!!!

  • @sruthibandhakavi3995

You could just buy the tops for your pan set instead of buying a new set

  • @karensamuels390

When I dont want a spice I dust it in my garden. Lol

  • @karensamuels390

None of that food should be eaten after being in a garage for a year!!

  • @maureenbullis1805

Girl, you have way too much stuff! If you lived without all that for a year, why not just let it go?
