Just scored a Husky branded version which is this same compressor, though of note, it came out of the era when they were grossly overstating the motor's power that ended in a massive class-action lawsuit. It's more like a 3hp motor, but then again, the pump is rated for a 3hp drive so it's not really hurting anything (probably what the marketing department said, too!) Mine was barely used by the previous owner but needed the usual maintenance items; pressure switch, check valve, filters, etc. Decided to add an extended drain valve unit while it's all torn down, just deciding if it's worth it to acid etch the inside of the tank. Pretty stout unit and will suit my needs well for the foreseeable future.
It really depends on what you want to do, other than that I'd say, you've got a good score!! I'm pretty sure, after you refurb your unit, it'll serve you really well for a long time.. I've been happy on how my compressor turned out.. it's still my main unit up to now..
I didn't got it in the video, the footage was trashed.. but yes, I use hose on one end then ran water to one of the ports to flush it out... good amount of gunk and rust came out..
Thank you ! we've got the same job to do on the same model compressor
Nice work!

I’m new to compressors. Since I have the same one, is the non detergent 30 oil recommended or is that what you know already through experience? Thanks
Wow, I have the same model compressor. Any chance you remember what size water release valve you used on the bottom of the tank?
I used 1/4 inch by Merlin from HF...
Awesome restoration. I got the same unit and am looking for the same air intake. Do you have a link for it? Thanks
the air intake i used to this is for automotive breather or crankcase breather similar to this: a.co/d/5PxUp8X
Very good job 👏 i have same one im going to do the same really good compressor so quite, question did you clean inside the tank?

@@PinoyStyleDIY perfect bro thanks a lot i was searching everywhere till i found your video with the same compressor i was looking for, thanks again 😀

I have one similar, what is that handle on side of the motor?
I just used an old oversized screw driver, bolted on where the original handle was.. so far, it's holding really well for this application..
@@PinoyStyleDIY awesome! Thank you!
Where did you get the pressure switch from
Local harborfreight..
