I work for a hotel and there is no excuse for them not to come in your room to make sure it is clean as well as bed made and fresh towels since you have been out all day. You pay a lot of money for a cruise the least they can do is make sure things in your room as well as balcony is right.
As a couple whos children are grown, not a fan of letting kids in adults only areas. I go there for piece and quiet.

I actually hate that most ships don't enforce the rules in the adult only pool area. I love kids and had 5 of my own, but it's nice to have an adult pool and whirlpools.
I have never wanted to sail on MSC and now I never will for sure!!!!

I am so thankful for folks to give an honest review. Showing what did or did not work for your family. RCL has Royal Babies and Tots on most ships for 6 months to 2 and then "camp" for kids 3-17 grouped by age.
I enjoy watching Noa feed herself. She is a good eater. I have three little grandchildren that I spend a lot of time with. A 4 yr. old, a 21-month-old (boys) and a 3-month-old granddaughter (who only drinks from mommy so far).
My son grew up from 4-10 in Carnival Kids clubs. He had one worker at the age of 6 when we were in the Caribbean and the same lady on a West Coast Mexican cruise and they instantly recognized each other 2 years later.

Everybody experience will be different. Why are people so quick to dismiss theirs? If you enjoyed MSC, by all means, keep enjoying it. Like what you like and let others do the same.

Note to self, get more towels on the day of embarkation or we may never get more towels for the rest of the cruise. Our cruise is in just about three weeks on the Meraviglia. Like you said Alyssa, we're not looking for trouble but I'm going to how to make it more enjoyable. As for the elevators, I've heard you can take the aft location since it's not as crowded. Cleanliness is a concern for me so if anything looks dirty I will need to sanitize it myself unless it's the sheets and then I'll get upset because I didn't pay for a hotel. My prices for August in the NYC area was not cheap nor I did pay for a motel. If I can anticipate it and know it may happen then I will at least understand it better. Hope for the best on this cruise. Alyssa and Griff, keep these great videos coming! Love the different take on them and your honest but positive reviews.
I say just take a Grandma with you on the cruise!! At least that's what I keep telling my daughter!!

The secret for that boat is use the back elevators. They only go from floors 8 to the top floor.

Next time stay in the yacht club its worth every penny you will not be disappointed every thing is included its like a totally different ship
We just finished the same ship 4 nights cruise. After doing nothing but Disney cruises for the past 5 years, I thought we would be disappointed. But the ship has so much to offer for much less money. Some things were dirty. We had to wait hours to get new towels. The room was not cleaned when we expected. There are not enough crew. But it was one of the best cruises we have ever done.
I HATE that they don't enforce the adult only areas of the ship. It's one small area. Please let the adults have one small area.

It was my understanding on the MSC Euriba cruise I took that the indoor pool is not adults only.

My MSC cabin attendant never brought proper number of towels for 2 people. Same with glasses. Never cleaned out past guest food in fridge. Cabin had not been cleaned well. Dust along carpet edges, dirt on bath floor etc etc. After many complaints nothing was ever done.
The final straw was when on final night at 9:30pm with do not disturb out, attendant pounded on door demanding to take inventory of mini fridge. I said no. Closed door in his face and pounded on door again. I didn't open it and yelled out some curse words at him.
I wasn't dressed, in bed for early departure and he had plenty time while we were at dinner to inventory.
Attendant was just a jerk and needed another job back in India.
There’s no excuse for the rooms not being clean, but some leftovers and some lesser amenities. It is a cheap price.
did you use the button by the door that lights up to tell your room attendant to mke up your room?
Just because the adults choose to ignore the “rules,” doesn’t mean they don’t apply. No kids means no kids IMO.

This vlog series has been a very interesting experience. From all of the videos I have seen on MSC cruises, I have not had the desire to sail on MSC as of yet. I started on Carnival and now for whatever reason I am loyal to Royal. I have gained platinum status and if I'm gonna cruise I will cruise Royal to continue to get my points on one cruise line as opposed to spreading the love so to speak. I do like carnival though. Anyway, I digress. Your videos are very informative as well as entertaining and Noa is beautiful. Can't wait to see the next thing you do.
That's why I love Princess hardly any kids. Disney, Royal, MSC , Norwegian and Carnival all are good for kids. Let us older folks have Celebrity, Princess, Cunard, Holland American and Virgin.

I just finish watching 😮, sorry y’all had experience that, yuck on the patio. My balcony 13 th floor was clean. My room steward was mostly in the hall. But my room was always clean so I never even had to bother her. But you’re right it was never any wash cloths. just so happens I always travel with a scrunchie because that works best with liquid soap and I have sensitive skin so always bring my own skin sensitive liquid soap. So that wasn’t an issue for me but my room was always clean and always got extra towels. I’m not a big eater so that’s probably why I was easily satisfied with the Buffet and mostly grab like lunch and meat salad so that was fresh. On debarkation day I took advantage of the 6:30 in the morning brunch. Mainly because I didn’t wanna have to deal with the elevator and Central park restaurant was only one floor below the gateway. 🤓 As soon as they said all clear since I only had one carry-on I did Xpress self carry off or whatever they called it. ( you’re correct I did not want to have to deal with those elevators ) 😅I was off the ship before 8 o’clock. Smooth no crowds no line so we had a different experience so I understand some of yawls frustration. Overall I had a great experience. But I didn’t get a chance to go into the spa which I am so jealous when I saw y’all’s footage. Next time and yes I will go again. 🎉 I had fun at sail away and the white party was a blast. 💃🏻🕺🏼
We are a family of 4 and we had the hardest time ever getting 4 full size towels. They never swapped our towels out either, they just hung them back up and since our room was so humid they were always damp. It was so bad!

I was on MSC from the 18th to the 21st and had the best time ever the food was delicious, I’m not sure what happened with you guys, in my room the most comfortable bed that I’ve been on so far. I still haven’t been on virgin voyage though 🤔Having a hard time finding someone who wants to go on that one but I’m gonna go soon. I’m only about one minute in on your video so I’m gonna continue to watch. So my comment is based on the first minute of viewing 😂
We went on Seascape out of Miami a yr ago, no problems. Went on Meraviglia last month out of Brooklyn, ny. Food was fine on both for us.
A lot of comments saying you are being dramatic. I personally don’t think you are being dramatic at all. You pay for a service you should get that service and it’s not that hard to give clean towels. Keep doing your great reviews you two are the best and baby Noa is adorable.
So sorry your MSC experience did not meet your expectations… We have been cruising since 1993 on many different lines including MSC… We have completed seven MSC cruises and fortunately they all met our expectations for the most part… we will be cruising again on the seashore in September… And we are looking forward to it… If you try MSC again I hope you have a better experience
Great review! We went on this same cruise on June 30th and had a lot of the same complaints. Elevators were the worst, ship was hot and humid in many areas, MDR food was not great, buffet was crowded and food lackluster, mold on our clothes line as well. We had an inside cabin and it continually felt wet and humid. Our sons (22 y/o twins) had fun and found a lot to do, loved the private island. Would rather spend my money on NCL which we really enjoyed when we went in March.

One cruise on MSC was enough for us. Never again.
We were lucky, and there were clean towels in a bag under our bed, so we always had some on the Meraviglia. I like a separate hair towel too, and we had 4 people in the room. It took several days before we saw our room steward , which is a first, but we did get washcloths, though I read before that you had to ask for them. No Kleenex though; the slot was covered over. But yuck on the balcony that you paid for. Bad that they didn't clean it, and bad that those above are throwing stuff down that could end up in the ocean. Overall, we liked our first MSC cruise back in March.
I’ll past on MSC. Have NOT heard positive things about MSC from other reviews. Too many other cruises to choose from to settle for MSC. They need to step their game up. Being out of food items, not providing clean towels and wash cloths timely, unacceptable. And BTW you are NOT dramatic. Enjoyed your honest review.
This is why I opposed to tipping I just believe that the service that you did not get should not be rewarded I'm not saying don't tip I'm just saying that the Tipping that is done is just too much I am not a cheap person but I just believe you should tip based on the service you received by the way I love your Channel

OK, I saw another RUclipsr talking about the stupid elevators. I can’t stand those things but they also said part of the problem is you need to call the elevator for the number of people you have in your party if there’s four of you you need to go up there and call that elevator four separate times, but nobody tells you that that’s why they’re not running efficiently plus it’s MSC and they just suck

My MSC cruise was a solid D buffet was a F+. Denny's has better food then MSC

You have to press the button to the elevators as many times as who is needing to go on the elevator. example 3 people going to floor 6 you Puch the button 3 times. That is what I have found out with all my U- tube research. I am going on MSC Seashore in September, I will see if it is true. I live in spring hill Florida so I will support your channel. Beautiful family god has blessed you all.

I agree about msc! The decor is nice but food is horrible, service is not so good & my room was pretty dirty as well. The floors turned our feet black so we had to wear our shoes all the time! I do not recommend msc. I probably won't sail with them again unless its free

And your Balcony it just so odd seems quite exposed to the other balconies ,plus the seagulls 🤢 poop everywhere .
The more i watch some other yt travelers the more you learn over the cruise lines , from different angles / approaches MSC doesn’t favor, but it’s nearly the same ship name ( s) you hear about 😅.

I don't get why people love MSC when every video shows people standing in lines, and shows a litany of other shortcomings and inconsistencies. Is a new, sparkly ship and cheap fare worth the chance of aggravation at every turn?
Because these are curated "reviews". If you look for for problems, you find problems. Their whole "shtick" seems to be finding problems and complaining. Watched a video where she pretended to be surprised by the fees for umbrellas in the privatebisland even though she had a video from before on a different sailing where she absolutely knew about the charges.
Most of their complaints are issues that are found on every major cruise line.
I was on Seashore in January and had a couple of issues that were exactly in line with most people who left reviews of the ship.
Hot tubs were cold. Drink service could be slow.
Many complained about food quality, I found the buffet to be better than Carnival or RCCL.
There are plenty of positive reviews out there that are able to be honest about the cruise but also grade on a curve considering this is essentially a budget cruise offering.
They are Mister Magoo on Royals crowds, chair fights and bumber car buffet
@@MrOblivion-esqyes I agree completely with you and in regards to the hot tubs, they are not heated like in America, from talking to other people it is a European way of temps in hot tubs, the same goes for washcloths which aren’t readily used overseas but will be given if asked and the same for Kleenex, it bugs me when Americans expect going some place different to be exactly like America, this is a European cruise line not Carnival and even though they are trying to “Americanize” some things they aren’t trying to be the next Carnival cruise line, their broad range of clientele proves that

Hey guys. Was wondering how Noa would be at kids camp 😢. But know you guys need a little time too. Idk bout the snow room 😮. Steam room. Hot 🥵 and cold. Black & white saunas? It’s a lot. My husband likes anything hot. I would’ve taken a pic of that elevator notification cuz that’s delaying you in rerouting to pick up Noa. I didn’t know kids allowed in the solarium. Listening to your explanation. Those horns can. E loud and annoying. Wow. Why do ppl throw things off their balcony? 🤷🏻♀️🤦♀️. MSC has an issue with washcloths. You have to ask for them. I rewond 3x at the Teppanyaki dinner when Alyssa caught the food in her mouth. Was hoping hot oil didn’t splash on her but it looked like the noise/cheers startled her. Glad the show was enjoyable. Kinda can imagine your final thoughts 🫤.

I don’t like them letting children in the adult only areas. Kids in diapers should not be in adult pools and the reason is obvious. Adults only means just that & I want it enforced by the crew if the parents think the rules don’t apply to them because they are special.
The room not being cleaned is not acceptable at all.

By now y’all know the reviews are hit or miss on MSC. They can be understaff but from what I hear that is intentional to keep costs down.
Anyway, your experience is your experience. They are reporting their experience and you guys and gals are hear for it. Be easy people.
That being said things can change from sailing to sailing. If you had a great time then kudos!
