Inside cabin for me for sure. I travel solo and it is the only way I can afford it. I have over 21 cruises in the past 2 years. I hear many people complain about an inside cabin not having sun light. Well, I have a room to sleep. I don't like to sleep with sunlight. So, for me, I go out of the room and explore the ship to enjoy the sunlight. Love you and Capt. Hudson. Both bring a smile to my face in this time I am battling cancer. Thank you.
I've been watching your videos for a while now, but was today years old when I realized that one of the reasons for your success is that if we are watching your first video or millionth, they are not only entertaining but educational. I mean that you seamlessly work in how to be a first time cruiser but in a way that an experienced cruise still can find useful information. 😀 And oh yeah.... CONGRATULATIONS on the new venture! Emma, I have followed many travel channels on YT for a long time, and I must say yours is most entertaining. Your direct, sort of no frills approach, is not only informative, but works for those of us who are cruise enthusiasts. Good luck on your map venture!
Dear Emma, thank you for your videos. Because of your thoroughness and joy for cruising my wife and I are sending my senior mother-in-law on a cruise this Friday. You taught us so much. Great appreciation and love from British Columbia!
I always move the furniture around. 😂 And I only book inside cabins. You get the best sleep in the darkness. It also forces you to go out and make friends.
The extra space sends my mind to old cheap hotels. I can almost smell the carpet aroma I remember from my youthful stays in such establishments (a very long time ago).
As what @richscary below mentioned, I've also been watching for quite some time, and I want to add that it's the way Emma edits these videos, the way she narrates this adventure for us. Pretty sure if she did any other type of 'trip' oriented video, she would have the same success in viewership. Easy to follow, entertaining, and informative.
YES! I watch his videos and have read his book, I can hear his voice in my head (ha ha). I don't think it was too bad as the door energy went past my head at least and there were no windows to worry about. Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
I went on a Mediterranean cruise back in June on the MSC Seaside, I was originally booked in a standard balcony but I received an email a few months back from MSC about an upgraded cabin bid. I actually got it and it was on the back of the ship which was one of those wrap around balconies. A few days before the cruise I left the U.S on the way to Europe and my luggage were tagged to a different location (specifically Houston) and I had three days before the cruise departed but somehow I managed to get my luggage back a day before the cruise.
I stayed in a similar very large interior cabin on Cunard's Queen Victoria. It was described as a Delux Inside but was priced the same as a Standard Inside. The feeling of extra space was great. It too was square. Perhaps the designers just sometimes end up at a point where there is dead space and so just make a couple of bigger cabins. In reality, they'd be better as four bedded family cabins but, if the ship is adults only, no point.
I have never cruised, but your videos are making me want to try it. to me the room is a place to sleep and get away from people, a cave to hide away in sounds ideal. you have a huge ship to enjoy the sunlight. Ill take the inexpensive room.
cruise cabins feel so small yet so space efficient! i stayed in one for a week with my three siblings for a week a few months back and i didnt feel crampt
I may have to start calling you Queen Midas, since everything you touch seems to turn to gold. From NCL to MSC to merch, now books (plural!), and the amazing amount of money you've raised for charity with Captain Hudson and a head shave, everything you touch turns to gold. I know this collab will be another rousing success, because you're amazing at everything you do.
Another great tour! Also congratulations on your new venture Emma!!! We all can’t wait to see what you have in store for us. I couldn’t think of anyone more deserving!
Strange, I thought for sure we had subscribed some time ago. Well we subscribed again! My wife and I would be perfectly happy in that room. As an American we LOVE having a kettle.
Having seen this cabin first hand (thanks for allowing me to invite myself for a look...), I love it! It's such a great space considering the price of it - one of the biggest I've seen in a while because the sofa's away over there! You had me laughing about the kettle removal - NOOOOOOO!
Another entertaining and informative video Emma. The lack of daylight wouldn't bother me with the square room, as it almost looks like a regular bedroom in a house, so thanks for showing this option to us! If I went on a cruise, I would only be going back to my room for sleep anyway, and there looks to be plenty of more scenic places to sit or walk around. Congrats on the CruiseMaps venture too :)
Nice review thanks, we are yet to try P&O. That room actually looks very functional and comfortable, except for the lack of power outlets. I really love the old style planking on the upper decks too. Also love the idea of a kettle in the room. I've lost count of the number of times that I have scalded my hand walking back from the buffet with my wife's wake up cup of tea!
My first three cruises were inside cabins, mostly because I didn't know any better and also they were the cheapest cruises. But after many many cruises I would not do an inside cabin regardless of the bargain price. I MUST have a balcony. I think the room that you got was great, much larger then the inside cabins that I had. And I love that you had a kettle; I love to have a cuppa tea early every morning also.
Congratulations Emma 🎉 I wish you and your team much success 🎉 As for the cabin, a regular full size 3 seater sofa up against the wall and coffee table w a mounted TV would really make functional use of the added space. I would book that cabin for sure 😊
We are booked on the Carnival Splendor and booked an inside room on the 6th floor. It is an Accessibility room. I hope it’s a big room. Have you stayed in one on the 6th floor.
Those cruise maps look cool! I like that they're made from your actual sailing. We're taking our first cruise this winter so I will remember that as a souvenir afterward :)
That cabin looks really awesome to me. I need a mobility scooter to get about. I can otherwise do with a normal cabin, don't need a dedicated handicapped cabin. However, the cabin needs to be big enough for my scooter to get in and park. At the same time, I'm not rich, so an economical inside cabin with enough space for the scooter would be perfect for me!
Thank you for finally showing what your “daylight alarm clock“ looks like…I’ve heard you mention it frequently and I’ve always been curious about what exactly it would look like..
I don't think I'd want a balcony unless it was an Alaskan cruise (or similar). On something like a Caribbean cruise, I absolutely _prefer_ an inside cabin. It's so dark and comfy.
@@herrantonwe had a balcony on an Alaska cruise, and they sailed us up into the fjords one day to give us some nice siteseeing. Very interesting! I have twice had a square inside cabin (Costa Pacifica/Favolosa) that was designed for disabled people (I'm not disabled). Very similar, but with one bed or two beds in a corner. Plus a huge square bathroom - and all at a bargain price!
Oh that's fantastic news. I *love* my cruise maps. I have them hanging on what is now our "cruise wall." I have two so far, I can't wait to add more (as I cruise more!). I have to say, you're a big influence on my travel! I started watching your videos during COVID and finally started to realize that there was more out there than megaships in the Caribbean. Between watching you and Gary Bembridge, my husband and I decided to give cruising a try and absolutely love it. We've got 2025 booked and a deposit down for 2026. I still don't want to go to the Caribbean on a megaship, but I know there's much more to the world. Thank you. :)
We stayed in cabin A304 part of the same new block. We were on a Norway cruise in winter. We were fabulously warm. Any cabin with a balcony was freezing with loads of drafts. It 21 degrees below freezing. Although there’s no natural light in winter it was no problem, we didnt see the sun for half the cruise anyway as we travelled up to Tromso. This area of the ship was created when the ship was changed to adult only cruising removing the children’s areas. We liked the space and the alcove was great to sit down it, shame the tv was almost impossible to see when sitting there.
The Hubs and I had a pretty great cabin on a Carnival cruise. It was “wrapper” with a stairway on an adjacent wall. Small hallway from the door to get to the main room. We always look for that cabin again when we cruise. Love your vids Emma!!
Sockets: You could carry a charge bank and plug it in while you are out of your cabin and then use that as an additional USB charger when you get back.
12:56 Love the dress. I wonder if the extra space is due to sewage lines or vacuum equipment from the toilets above taking up space that would have been used for a cabin, so making your cabin bigger. Perhaps that's why they put the head of your bed there.
This cabin reminds me of the cabin we had on Princess to Alaska. I know P&O often gets the old Princess ships. Our cabin was actually probably smaller! I do recall that tiny TV set up high! If I sail in Alaska again I won’t cheapen out!
07:11 - OMG you have the exact same luggage as me. They're great aren't they?... super light and just about meets budget airline's cabin criteria. Awesome!
The Aurora and outbreaks is a ships tradition.. Back in 2011/2012 it had two outbreaks of the Noro virus onboard.. Not to mention the Norobug outbreak onboard in 2003 where 580 passengers got the disease...
Travel Trivia : The word zimmer in German means ‘room’ - so you will often see signs outside of hotels and guesthouse’s reading ‘zimmer frei’ That always makes me think of beds constructed out of Zimmer frames and really springy springs. Great video as always.
That's amazing! Oh yes it's free postage everywhere which is amazing. I know from personal experience how expensive postage to places like NZ can be. I'd really love to post myself there for a visit one day though!!! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
I referenced BUSTED?!!! I love Busted but I absolutely didn't mean to. I think it's just so far into my brain I forgot?! What did I say?! ha ha!! I've seen them lots of times glad you love them like me. Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
We are booked in a similar cabin on a Carnival ship soon and it is indeed an accessible cabin but just for those with mobility “difficulties” not inability. So canes and such not wheelchairs
The Aurora is my idea of a perfect ship. Not too big! I travelled from Brisbane to Southampton. I forget how many nights. I had a cabin with a non opening window. Enjoyed the voyage. Unlike a regular cruise ship, the Aurora is designed for heavy seas.
6:05 - thanks for talking about accessible cabins... I find it difficult to get information on wheelchair access when planning a trip becuase talking about accessible travle is usually given to 'specialist' youtube channels and there are bitterly too few of these
I had a bath tub on royal Caribbean that I could lay head to toe down in. I'm only 5'0" tall, but I can't do that again. It was phenomenal. I don't like baths at home, but took 4 on the cruise. It was a junior suite but we got such a good deal on the cruise it cost less than most balconies we've had.
thats actually a great layout and space for an inside cabin. ive only cruised once and we had an oceanview. i would like to try an inside one at some point.
Been on two cruises with balcony rooms and it's nice to have a coffee in the morning outside but I could live with an inside room because we're hardly ever there anyway except to sleep.
If I were traveling solo, then I would consider this cozy. There's no way that I could have shared it with anyone. I stay at a hotel in Las Vegas that has rooms so small, when my husband joins me once a year, we book two rooms.
We stayed in a "square" cabin on the Carnival where there were only a handful of them onboard the Horizon (I think) and they said they tried to put the cribs in these rooms. There is a huge space in the corner and it was just neater than the regular rectangular rooms.
1:03 .. This inside cabin looks great! .. this is what I plan to get . something just like this when I eventually get cruising !!! I have never been on a cruise ...... sometime in the future (a year or two from now) I plan to go ona one week or a bit longer ... I have been watching your videos and "Don's Family Vacations" for more than a few years now so I don't seem like a newbie when I get there !!! :)
Hi Emma, in all of your cruises have you ever come across any passengers who have brought their pets on board? We would love to cruise again, but we don’t want to leave our Sphinx behind. I’m not talking about leaving them in a kennel in the special section of the ship.
Our Deluxe Oceanview on Queen Anne (1129) had a bath (just a little one), it was very reasonably priced on our cruise at just under £100/night pp. We had no idea the room had a bath when we booked it and we never got the chance to test it out, the room also had a separate shower room which did get plenty of use.
We had a similar cabin on MSC Seaside. We’d never had an interior cabin before. It was positioned in a corner of the hallway and was oddly shaped and huge compared to our expectations.
WOAH WOAH WOAH ARE YOU REFERRING TO THE BUSTED SONG THAT THE JONAS BROTHERS COVERED. It is my mission now I think to tell the world the Jonas Brothers just covered that song!!!! ha ha =P
We tried an inside cabin once. We missed a lot of shipboard activities because we could never tell what time of day or night it was. We didn't have cell phones or an alarm clock and we didn't want wakeup calls from the service. Very restful if that's what you want.
Thanks for your lovely video! Wouldn't mind an inside cabin unless there were FABULOUS views that I was missing. I guess you can get out and see them on another deck though. Would have liked if you mentioned how good the food was and if there were any additional amenities? For the price, I wondered if they saved on the food as well as the skimpy biscuits.
Just got of the NCL Sun last month. The cruise was really beautiful along with the crew being absolutely outstanding but the way NCL is managed really turned me off from cruising with them again.

Oh yes very similar! ❤🎉
07:11 - OMG you have the exact same luggage as me. They're great aren't they?... super light and just about meets budget airline's cabin criteria. Awesome!
Ordered a map! thank you!
Thank you! 😁❤️
The Aurora and outbreaks is a ships tradition.. Back in 2011/2012 it had two outbreaks of the Noro virus onboard..
Not to mention the Norobug outbreak onboard in 2003 where 580 passengers got the disease...
Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
Travel Trivia : The word zimmer in German means ‘room’ - so you will often see signs outside of hotels and guesthouse’s reading ‘zimmer frei’
That always makes me think of beds constructed out of Zimmer frames and really springy springs. Great video as always.
Interesting!! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
In German... I feel that was left out.
I have happy memories of travelling on Aurora.
Thanks Emma, Christmas present sorted for my parents! I’ve just ordered a map of our Caribbean Disney cruise, with free postage to NZ too 😊
That's amazing! Oh yes it's free postage everywhere which is amazing. I know from personal experience how expensive postage to places like NZ can be. I'd really love to post myself there for a visit one day though!!! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
Ha ha Emma love the reference to Busted 😉 literally just saw them in my hometown. Thanks for this vlog, me and hubby are going on Aurora in March x
I referenced BUSTED?!!! I love Busted but I absolutely didn't mean to. I think it's just so far into my brain I forgot?! What did I say?! ha ha!! I've seen them lots of times glad you love them like me. Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
@@EmmaCruisesI think it's at 0:47 😂
I’m trying to convince my partner to cruise. Food is the way to do it so I would love to see a video around the great food on offer on cruises!
Ooo, yes it you check out my full videos or head to EmmaCruises.com and search for a cruise line I have photos of every dish I ate ❤🎉
Congratulations on the maps.
Thank you! Excited :D
We are booked in a similar cabin on a Carnival ship soon and it is indeed an accessible cabin but just for those with mobility “difficulties” not inability. So canes and such not wheelchairs
The bowling alley is so cool imagine trying to play during a storm.😂😂
I know right! Its so lop sided... 😆😂
The Aurora is my idea of a perfect ship. Not too big! I travelled from Brisbane to Southampton. I forget how many nights. I had a cabin with a non opening window. Enjoyed the voyage. Unlike a regular cruise ship, the Aurora is designed for heavy seas.
Wow!! That sounds incredible. Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
6:05 - thanks for talking about accessible cabins... I find it difficult to get information on wheelchair access when planning a trip becuase talking about accessible travle is usually given to 'specialist' youtube channels and there are bitterly too few of these
Oh yes, I’d love to be able to see them but of course they’re usually fully booked. I peer in though 😂❤
Thank you very much for sharing! Great video!
Thank you! 😁❤️
I would imagine your Yacht Club cabin on the upcoming MSC cruise would have a bath! I certainly Hope so!!
Watch this space to find out... ha ha!! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
Hey Emma! Great video as always!!!
Thanks so much 🥹❤️
I had a bath tub on royal Caribbean that I could lay head to toe down in. I'm only 5'0" tall, but I can't do that again. It was phenomenal. I don't like baths at home, but took 4 on the cruise. It was a junior suite but we got such a good deal on the cruise it cost less than most balconies we've had.
WOW!! That's the dream right there. Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
thats actually a great layout and space for an inside cabin. ive only cruised once and we had an oceanview. i would like to try an inside one at some point.
Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
Aurora is a lovely ship and our favourite with P&O
She is so lovely! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
Been on two cruises with balcony rooms and it's nice to have a coffee in the morning outside but I could live with an inside room because we're hardly ever there anyway except to sleep.
Love watching your videos. As an American I’ve never had a chance to cruise on P&O, but would love to one day.
Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
Always a balcony for me!
If I were traveling solo, then I would consider this cozy.
There's no way that I could have shared it with anyone.
I stay at a hotel in Las Vegas that has rooms so small, when my husband joins me once a year, we book two rooms.
Ha ha. Fair enough 😀❤️
We stayed in a "square" cabin on the Carnival where there were only a handful of them onboard the Horizon (I think) and they said they tried to put the cribs in these rooms. There is a huge space in the corner and it was just neater than the regular rectangular rooms.
Ooo very cool!! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
That sounds good to me!! You'll be very prepared. Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
Funny to see a video about the Aurora today and she is in the port by us today😅
Awwh, lovely ship! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
Hi Emma, in all of your cruises have you ever come across any passengers who have brought their pets on board? We would love to cruise again, but we don’t want to leave our Sphinx behind. I’m not talking about leaving them in a kennel in the special section of the ship.
Emma, the cruise maps are a great idea. I am definitely interested but have some questions. Heading over to the cruise map website !
Woohoo! Amazing. Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
Sounds good to me!!! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
We had a similar cabin on MSC Seaside. We’d never had an interior cabin before. It was positioned in a corner of the hallway and was oddly shaped and huge compared to our expectations.
Oh wow, ha ha. Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
Wow !!!! That bowling ball was huge !!!!
At least double the normal size right?! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
Love the alarm clock, great for inside cabins
Yesss 😁🙌 Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
Less than 1 min in and em has me screaming with a Joe bros reference. I love it.
WOAH WOAH WOAH ARE YOU REFERRING TO THE BUSTED SONG THAT THE JONAS BROTHERS COVERED. It is my mission now I think to tell the world the Jonas Brothers just covered that song!!!! ha ha =P
I saw your article about this cabin decided to book for my first cruise in December 🎉
Ooo!! That's amazing. Where are you going? Have a great time! 🥳🥳
Rotterdam with overnight stop
I LOVE the jazzy pink zebra bowling ball! 🎳 🦓
Me too it's my favourite!! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
What a nice sized room.
Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
We tried an inside cabin once. We missed a lot of shipboard activities because we could never tell what time of day or night it was. We didn't have cell phones or an alarm clock and we didn't want wakeup calls from the service. Very restful if that's what you want.
Emma is my WCW❤
That was nice and spacious! ❤
It really was! Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
Hellooo, this video is just the cabin tour but the one before this is about the cruise and shows all the things like food. ❤🎉
Thank you! 😁❤️
@@EmmaCruises Will check it out! 💓
As a graveyard worker I'd vibe with that room. Seems cozy.
Just got of the NCL Sun last month. The cruise was really beautiful along with the crew being absolutely outstanding but the way NCL is managed really turned me off from cruising with them again.
