C&D got 2.8 with rollout , I love mine! Best car for the money. I only waited 6 months due to it being a no option comp x. Carbon was delaying builds when I ordered mine last year
These cars make upper 400s to the wheels stock, so that equates to about ~550 HP. Then with just an exhaust/tune people are seeing +250hp which is arguably more impressive @@reddragon1572
When comparing cars you have to look at the whole car, not just the drive. That’s the beauty of the 3 series… whether it’s the 330, M340i, or M3. Yes, it’s their drive, but it’s also there built quality, tech, room for your family, cargo capacity, sight lines, etc. When you consider all that, it’s easy to rule out the competition from Alfa and Cadillac.
Well if you rule out the driving experience, of course Cadillac and Alfa Romeo will fall behind lol. Almost every review I’ve seen says that the CT4 V Blackwing drives way better than an M3, and the Giulia handles superbly for the price you can get them
I weight the driving experience heavier than some other reviewers, but that's why it's great to collect a number of perspectives when making a purchase decision.

Agreed ! I got my comp x 4 months ago and just had the 1200 miles service done. It’s Porsche performance in a 4 door sedan. It doesn’t feel like 4,000 lbs, I even get about 25 mpg when traveling

Great video. I drove the standard (manual transmission) M3 from BMWs performance center back home with a friend who purchased one. I loved it. I loved it ao much that I almost took my budget and threw it out the window. After I had a chance to cool off a bit I got back to my plan A and got the IS500 in Moulton Pearl. Yes, it is slower than the standard M3, CT-4 V Blackwing, RS5 and Alfa, but at $66k I get a NA V8, V8 sound, Lexus reliability, great color and decent performance (not as fast as the others but plenty fast). The idea is to do a long term review and comparison on it and my friends M3. 🤞🏼 I do a decent job with that.
Drove the M3 manual and the CT4-V BW back to back. Placed an order for the BW immediately. Dynamically it’s superior and the manual is much less rubbery. The engagements are crisps and the throws are a chef’s kiss! 7k miles later and I have zero regrets! Also, creeping on $100k for a fully optioned M3 Comp is borderline sacrilegious. Keep up the content!
totally different choice for me lol, chose the M3 xdrive cus of the 10 speed of the CT4V was too uninteresting. I would say that both are good cars but for the automatic versions I rather go for the bimmer.
Its fake and not really what comes out of the exhaust, but theres still a sound coming out of the exhaust in person when upshifting similar to the one in the car but just different sounding. Still I like it because while driving it makes me feel as if I am in a mclaren p1.
I have a 2022 R8 V10 Performance Quattro and a 2022 M3 G80 performance xdrive. The BMW is as much fun to drive as the R8 (if you dont count the noises). A 500 € Stage 1 and this car makes 600 whp… ❤
Very smooth power delivery that feels like a slingshot! With some bolt-ons and a full exhaust I have on my G82 I feel it’s quick enough for now. By the time flash tunes come out I’ll be over the stock feel! I did install carbon fiber rims 20” F & 21” R coupled with carbon ceramic brakes and upgraded suspension so it handles better than any M car I’ve ever had or driven. This is my fourth M and by far my favorite. I will say that with the full exhaust it is as loud as anyone could want. It’s actually too loud so I chose a valved system. Chassis is very rigid. There’s a lot of support and bracing which is really noticeable! BMW really stepped up their game! Well Done!
Haters gonna hate. I got mine in January, it is by far my favorite car I have owned. Once I get my turbo S or gt3 I’m done buying for a couple years. I don’t see anything coming out in the near future that interests me.

I own the 22 M4 comp. I have owned E46, E92, F80 M4 and this G80. This is by far the best. Go regular seats not CF for comfort. Can do 500 mike’s no problem
I’ve test driven an M2 and CT4-V Blackwing (both manual) and neither one lacked for speed.. but the BW had better steering, seats, transmission, and ride quality. Put the S58 engine in the BW and you may have the greatest small sports sedan ever made. The harsher ride quality in the current BMW M cars is a real bummer for those of us in the northeast. I really want to love the M3 but wonder if it’s livable with our pothole-riddled roads.

G80 Comp Xdrive owner. I would have liked that they finished the carbon with the full package, vents, side skirts etc. Don't like the Xdrive badge on the back. Also the consistency of the color in idrive was only patched 2022.7 update haha What I do like is that color. Wow it's 🔥 What do you think of idrive 8 vs 7? On looks, I'd have to give the RS5 the edge 👍
honestly I think the m3 looks awesome, but like if BMW had designers that we're even half as good as their engineers, some of the cars they have right now would look A LOT better
What if you were comparing tie ct5 V BW to the m3 comp x drive? Which would you take and why would someone want the m3 comp x drive over the ct5 V BW? Having a hard time
The ct5 v bw is no bmw. It won't have all those gimmicks the bmw has and all it would have over the m3 is the hp numbers. As it still weighs more with no option to switch between 4wd and rwd. In a 1/4 mile run, the m3 will still beat it and in lap times it also beats it. So in summary, the ct5 v bw is basically a hellcat. Lots of power but no actual performance benefit from them because of weight and because of the technology.. Although if you really like the ct5 v bw then you would probably get it.
The people who say they don't like the look can go buy mercedes cause this car looks awesome and is awesome. 19:55 if they're able to make a luxury sports car that goes 0-60 in 3 sec while maintaining 30mpg on the highway.... I say no.
The Cadillac is one of their better cars, but its no M3CX. I compared the bimmer to the Audi and the Aplpha. Liked both of those but they just didn't measure up to the G80 M3 on a number of different levels. Most people who own any of these cars don't regularly have them over 100mph - so the real fun in owning them is the sporty feel, sound, and excitement of what you can do between 25-70mph. The G80 won that hands-down in my limited experience in these cars. The bimmer lets you go from AWD to RWD for the times when you want that extra bit of excitement. My BSM 23 M3CX arrives soon, so I put my money where my mouth is...LOL.
I also checked out the BMW, Audi, and Alpha, and went with Audi. My Audi RS5 competition will be here soon! Granted it isn't as fast, I can push the car harder and have more fun in it. Plus I like the look of Audi better, interior and exterior. But congrats on your BMW! To me there is a car for everyone and not everyone will get why people buy the car they buy. Even more people will talk trash about a car having never driven or own the cars they are talking trash about!

I’ve driven from FL to NY and back in those seats. Thought they were as comfortable as any other seat I’ve been in.
A lot of people don’t like the new look but I’m actually fond of it and I think this is one of best Generations and engines.

That is the extended Merino leather interior, not full. With full you get leather like everywhere, including upper door cards. Great review!
