Peter, hello, these were great cars, very reliable, meticulously built, excellent engineering! Nowadays Toyota is not the same anymore and things are worse. The same for Honda, the best cars have been made before early 2000, afterwards from 2002 Honda's quality has had a big drop.

Not sure how the bolts you showed proved any kind of quality, but I have 1996 Camry and it is definitely a quality vehicle. Thanks for the help with the radiator and starter.

Hello Peter, very useful video. Excellent to the point. Thanks. One thing I want to be sure is the torque on the two bolts.
Is it 40 Nm or 14 Nm? Please help clarify. Once again many thanks.

Is there a way to shim this type of starter on a camry. I have a 1995 camry. I replaced the factory starter with a cheap ebay one. It starts okay but has a grinding sound....not real bad but does grind.......always starts. I don't see a way to shim these starters because it won't seat completely against the engine with a shim. I never had this problem with the factory starter so I'm guessing the flywheel teeth are okay....it's the new starter teeth not engaging the fly wheel perfectly. It was starting to click maybe once every couple weeks so I changed it so it didn't go completely bad.....I'm wondering if I should just replace the solenoid contacts and put the old one back on.

I have a 1992 Toyota Camry and when I turn the key sometimes nothing happens. I have noticed if I rock the car back and forth then it will start....do you know if it’s starter going bad or something else?

Replacing the starter is easy, anyone can do it in their sleep. Why didn't you show the removal of all the crap around the starter, particularly the cruise control module? That's the hard part.
