As a person who was outside the Catholic Church, this information changed my life. Protestants are told to reject Mary, now I see how silly that is. The information on microchimerism was fascinating and so true. I have now watched all three films and I couldn't pick a favorite. I HIGHLY recommend also watching the Fatima-Immacutale Heart and Our Lady of Perpetual Help videos, they are just as good as this one. Love all the prayer videos too! Thank you so much. I live only about 35 miles from the Shrine and Carmelite Friary at Aylesford, Kent, England. St Simon Stock was the first Prior. The Priory was first built in 1252, it was closed in the Reformation, but in 1949 the Carmelites purchased it back and rebuilt the Shrine between then and 1967. I have not been there since before Covid. However, I will be going to Lourdes next week [July 28 2023].

Although I will not be able to remember much of the details you presented the information will help me tomorrow. It just so happens that I have planned and will be holding a Rosary tomorrow in the Marion Grotto at our local parish to venerate Our Lady of Mount Carmel. My Italian Great Grandmother named one of her daughters Carmella, her sister had my mother and her middle name is Carmella, and she gave birth to me on the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel so it was natural that I wear it. The consecration of Russia will be Her Triumph and through St Joseph this will be obtained hopefully before the 2000th anniversary of the life, death, and resurrection of Our Lord, I've a feeling Our Lady would desire this post 1960.
Please do one about the different colors. As a long life cradle catholic mom and grandma I had father Blount send a few brown monks cloth with the Unity prayer . The green one is ok in a wallet, purse etc protection for loved ones. I even pinned the scapular to my infant children prior to baptism. Intent for salvation. And blessed them as they were born with holy water. Why not? A Mexican midwife taught this to me.. thank you.

My mother wanted me to wear it faithfully as a child since I was born on that day. Of course, once I went to school and was taunted by the kids, I stopped. I came back to the church 20 years ago, at 50, but only a few years ago remembered about the scapular. I was not aware of the confraternity until even more recently - and asked my priest to enroll me. He said he could not because it was a long process. I consecrated myself to Blessed Mary and always wear the scapular but hope that someday I will be officially enrolled - in her, and her Son's, time. 🙏. Thank you so much for this in depth history - I was not aware of how truly special this day is!
I am sorry to hear about the priest not enrolling you into the Brown Confraternity. I will pray for him since he neglected his duty as a pastor. Thank you for the links. I am a protestant (Episcopalian) working my way towards the Catholic church. Mother Mary has been calling me and leading me along with Our Blessed Lord. I'm helping to lead a weekly rosary group at our church (the Catholic rosary, of course. Not the Anglican rosary). Someone gave me a brown scapular a long time ago and its been hanging over my bed. I didn't know the history and am glad to have stumbled across this. I'm planning my first trip to the TLM. Its an hour drive from where I live. I know God is leading me to the Catholic church. Its just real hard to seperate from mine because I am involved in many different ministries at my protestant church. But I'm slowly getting there. ❤
I too also tried to get my priest to enroll me properly. I even brought a booklet with the proper prayers but he refused to use it and just did his own blessing upon it. I feel in my heart that the Blessed Virgin Mary knew my sincere heart and accepted my intention. I am not a priest. I always have a deep reverence to the Brown Scapular. I gave one to.my father and mother. When my father died, I threw a brown scapular to his coffin when before his tomb was closed. The next day at 3:00 am, I dreamed of my father and I saw him came out from a very peaceful and radiant room. Then I woke up. I was happy for that dream. Truly, the brown scapular's promise of the Virgin Mary that those who died with the scapular will be saved from fire of hell.

Thank you for sharing this story. I now have an understanding of the Carmelites and brown scapula. I learned about the scapula in grade school about 100k yo and was given one by the teaching nun. As my dad was transitioning, I remembered that when a person is dying, they should have a scapula. I was able to place it on my dad's bed as he was transitioning. Now that I know the full meaning, I will be sure to get a scapula and incorporate it into my spiritual life.

Thank you for sharing this story. I now have an understanding of the Carmelites and brown scapula. I learned about the scapula in grade school about 100k yo and was given one by the teaching nun. As my dad was transitioning, I remembered that when a person is dying, they should have a scapula. I was able to place it on my dad's bed as he was transitioning. Now that I know the full meaning, I will be sure to get a scapula and incorporate it into my spiritual life.
