- It is said that when the prophet Elias ascended upwards in a fiery chariot, he let his woolen mantle...his scapular if you will...fall into the hands of the prophet Eliseus. The woolen garment was the habit of Elias, his master. This action of Elias pre-figures the action of Mary who would later let her mantle of salvation...her Brown Scapular...fall into the hands of St. Simon Stock when her spiritual children were in dire need. When the priest enrolled me in the Brown Scapular in years past, he prayed: Receive this blessed Scapular and ask the Most Holy Virgin that, by Her merits, it may be worn with no stain of sin and may protect you from all harm and bring you into everlasting life. If Mary protects us, whom shall we fear? If our Lady crushed the head of Satan himself, then she can certainly protect us from the attacks of demons. Therefore, our Brown Scapulars are a sign and guarantee of salvation, for Mary will never fail us. We hear her words to St. Simon Stock...her solemn, unbreakable promise: Whosoever shall die invested in this habit, shall not undergo the torments of hell. And because of our Lady’s promise in connection with the Sabbatine Privilege, those who wear the Brown Scapular will find a speedy release from Purgatory. I so loved this song as a young child. Because of this and two sisters, Mary Veronica and Brigit Marie, I wanted to become a nun. I was four in 1962. Then Vat. 2 happened. My family was shattered by fighting and divorce. The very idea of becoming a nun vanished. How sad it was to learn she left the sisterhood, and came to a horrid end. I’m so glad I was in my late 40s before I learned the whole story. I’ve since returned to the Church for the purpose of claiming the faith of which I was deprived.
My 8yr old daughter was playing with a non catholic friend the other day, and they went to the back yard and all of a sudden her friend came running crying because she got stung by 7 hornets and my daughter not even one stung her,, she was and is still wearing her Brown scapular 🙏❤🙏
I don’t know why Protestants and non believers feel the need to comment on Catholic videos. At least we know who to pray for I guess. We are all Catholics in Heaven.
I pray that through Mary’s petitions and the Grace of God, that no one will be forced to take this abominable inoculation, and that we may be allowed a life according to God’s Will, under the protection of God and the assistance and prayers of Our Lady, Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ.
WOW! I wear the brown scapular out of love for Our Lady, but I didn't realize that the story of Elias prefigured the story of St. Simon Stock. I am so filled with joy at learning this. God bless you, Sensus!

Lea Plaza Music Consecration to our Lady is akin to either consecration to Jesus or our Heavenly Father because Her will is perfectly in tune with theirs. Besides, she prays and intercedes only, which, again, is in tune with the Father and Christ. They cut mine off along with my green scapular and St. Benedict Rosary that was around my neck. However, the miracle is that I was defibrillated 5x in the ambulance. In the hospital they had to defibrillate 22x more times. They put in a stent in one of the coronary arteries.
I am an R.N., nobody defibrillates more than 5-6 times. If that doesn’t work, you’ll be pronounced dead.

Hello Everyone I have a similar Miracle to report about my sister's house was speared from total destruction from Hurricane Ida last year. Her house contains a Huge Purple Scapular. They had little damage. My Niece's house was totally destroyed 3 miles from my sister's house. I believe they had no scapulars. Our Lady of Mt. Carmel pray for us. Thank You LORD everyone survived. The winds were 155 mph. A true Miracle.

Can't remember exactly what I said was depressing but to clear things up it was in reference I believe to a person who fell from their faith.
That is depressing when a soul falls away and is most probably damned.
Teaches us a lesson.
I hadn't heard that you had to pray all 15 decades of the Rosary I thought it was just one set of mysteries 5 decades.

Leon, why..."a depressing story?" It's a story of divine love and salvation...well, to me it is and, I might say, to millions of others. Perhaps it was the good father's *dramatic* presentation that put you off but I assure you the brown scapular is true however it is presented. I don't know if you are a Roman Catholic or Protestant or non-denominational but I seem to perceive that you are seeking something. Somehow your soul is in need of a truth or stability and that you might have been seeking for some time now. No, I'm not psycho-analyzing you, just an old Carmelite and retired priest...and not of the Roman Catholic Church. Perhaps you will allow me to give you a broader picture of St. Simon and Our Lady with the suggestion of a book...Yes, I know, here we go with another book to read. But I know the author, Sister Elizabeth Obard...I had and honor and good fortune to met here at the Carmelite Shrine and Friary at Aylesford, England, on my way to Jerusalem to make my life vows. She took me through my retreat in 2010. She is an OCD Carmelite. Actually, she has written many books having to do with the Carmelite Order...but the one I am suggesting is, Land of Carmel. As far as I'm concerned, it is the Carmelite Bible...but that's just my opinion, you can decide for yourself. Also, may I go one step further and suggest that if you are not wearing the little scapular of Mt. Carmel, get one from the Rose Scapular Co., Oxnard, CA...they still make them the old traditional way...or contact me and I will send you one free. I'm only asking you to wear it. You don't have to do anything else: no devotionals, no prayers, nothing, just wear it all the time, even in the shower...and you don't have to let anyone know you are wearing it. The important thing is that Our Lady will see it...who knows, she may come to you as she did me. You have nothing to loose and everything to gain. Wear it for nine months the time it takes for a baby to develop in the womb under the heart of it's mother...just as Jesus heard the heart beat of Mary and she heard his. I really would appreciate you doing this...and remember, you don't have to say or do anything...just wear Our Lady's little habit. OK...'nuff said. Blessings,

Thanks for your mini dissertation! Very nice. Thanks for the tip about scapulars in Oxnard, Ca. Sadly, we lost our local Carmelites, they’d flown away with a full house. Anyways, I’m definitely devoted to the scapular and look forward to reading your recommendations. I know from personal experience as I’ve had many personal miraculous experiences with the brown Scapular. The red and green are very powerful. Our Lady’s given us so many extraordinary weapons to combat the enemy and claim our dignity through Jesus and Mary. I love everything about wearing and living the scapular. Paix Christi!

Can the little office really be substituted only by rosary of 15 decades? I thought the normal rosary is 5 decades since you pray mysteries specific to certain days.
+Indigo baloon The full/complete Rosary is 15 decades, 15 mysteries with 15 promises. The joyful mysteries represent the Life of Jesus, The sorrowful represent the death of Jesus and the Glorious represent the Resurrection of Jesus.
The luminous mysteries even though beautiful interfere with this perfect chain that is the salter of The Blessed Virgin as it displaces the Joyful mysteries on a Thursday, they also effect the mysteries that should be said on a Sunday, which should run in accordance with the liturgical calendar i.e, From advent to lent say the Joyful on Sunday, The first Sunday of Lent and Sunday's throughout lent say the Sorrowful and from Easter Sunday till Advent say the glorious.
Because 15 is divisible by 3 Our Lady usually asks that a third of Her Rosary is to be prayed daily (usually for lay people) so 5 decades = one set of mysteries which usually serves the condition required to fulfill the obligation.
Our Lady has never asked that a quarter of Her Rosary be said. To clarify this point, The Blessed Virgin asked Bernadette to come to the grotto at Lourdes for 15 consecutive days (not 20) Thursday the 11th of February 1858 was the date of the first apparition .
Pray the Luminous mysteries as a separate chaplet apart from The Rosary.

GJJ, there are other valid priest of Apostolic succession other than Roman Catholic...Old Catholic, Polish National Catholic, Orthodox of many kinds, even Anglican Catholic, just seen a valid but elicit by the Roman Catholic Church. Also, not all Carmelites are priests...as far as I know, Simon Stock was not a priests, unless he was ordained after he received the scapular from Our Lady. I won't go any further with it, neither one of us will gain anything over a debate of the subject. Angeline, I'll get a copy of "Send Me Your Guardian Ange," I've always been interested in Padre Pio. It is so sad the things people will trust in for their salvation when they reject the written Scriptures as the only authority given to us by God. ANYTHING added to grace voids grace. How can you merit something that is given to you freely?

Christ did not leave us Scriptures but a Church which wrote, gathered, interpreted and preseved the Scriptures. Because the Holy Spirit was invested in Peter by Jesus himself.
It did not fall into Luther's lap. If it had, a lot more of The Holy Bible would be missing- since he wanted to remove certain books.
