I’m from Vietnam, and I’m not Christian. My family and I follow Buddhism. When I was a kid, I went to a Catholic kindergarten and primary school taught by Catholic nuns. A nun once showed me this movie, but it was in black and white. Back then, I didn’t even know the movie’s name; I only remembered the words ‘bread and wine.’ I’ve held onto memories of that movie and the kind nun who showed it to me, Sister Hiến, who was so gentle and really cared for me. It feels like a blessing that I found this movie again today by chance; it brings back memories of a time when I was so innocent and carefree. I remember watching it and wishing I could meet God in the attic or see Mother Mary, to see if she was beautiful. Haha. Although I’m not Christian, I still believe in and pray to Mother Mary and Jesus, and sometimes I say the Hail Mary.

I have never seen this movie before until now. It's a story I can never forget. It was sad that the little boy Marcelino passed away. But that is what he truly wanted to be with his mother in Heaven. Jesus granted him his wish.

This is the first movie in my life "Marcelino pan y vino" in Filipino when I was only 4 y.o.! I cried because the Tagalog version added at the end Marcelino meeting his mother in heaven! It stuck in my mind until now in my 78 years of age and still a religious priest!😇🥰🙏

Jesus give me grace and endurance this Christmas. As a single mother my number one priority, are my sons. Both of them are autistic so they require a lot from me. God give me strength as I struggle to provide for them. My faith in you is still strong! Even as I struggle to pay rent every month and I struggle to buy groceries for my children, I KEEP FAITH in you LORD. Jesus hear my prayers I’m so overwhelmed and discouraged because I’m also battling lupus and have heart issues. Lord give me strength because I want to give up. 😢
Contact every church in your area and find out who will help you with groceries because we have churches that help people when they need groceries or anything that you were needing the churches do help so please phone every single one of them and tell them what is going on in your life and that you need help and find out which ones will actually Bring you groceries. I have never seen this movie before until now. It's a story I can never forget. It was sad that the little boy Marcelino passed away. But that is what he truly wanted to be with his mother in Heaven. Jesus granted him his wish.

This is the first movie in my life "Marcelino pan y vino" in Filipino when I was only 4 y.o.! I cried because the Tagalog version added at the end Marcelino meeting his mother in heaven! It stuck in my mind until now in my 78 years of age and still a religious priest!😇🥰🙏

Jesus give me grace and endurance this Christmas. As a single mother my number one priority, are my sons. Both of them are autistic so they require a lot from me. God give me strength as I struggle to provide for them. My faith in you is still strong! Even as I struggle to pay rent every month and I struggle to buy groceries for my children, I KEEP FAITH in you LORD. Jesus hear my prayers I’m so overwhelmed and discouraged because I’m also battling lupus and have heart issues. Lord give me strength because I want to give up. 😢

Magnifique film en noir et blanc de mon enfance. La couleur est vraiment parfaite. Ce sont des histoires, des contes où le merveilleux se mêlent au sacré. Bien sûr que c'est FAUX ,mais on a bien le droit d'y croire durant la longueur du film.
