This is so wonderful Van!! Thank you!
Thanks Van for such a great video. I will definitely carve these lil firemen , I know a few firemen and have a few cousins in the fire department . I also know several police men who love to receive one of these as a gift. I would love to see you do a police men as well. I would struggle trying to figure out the hat. Thanks again.
Great little whittle. Thanks for the video and the pattern also
Great work Van. Thanks for sharing a project that us novice carvers can try to do.( HaHa)
I love your little fireman. Our Son-In-Law went from a high school graduate to becoming a fireman for Louisville. He worked there his entire working career and retired a few short years ago as a State Fire Marshall. I would love to carve this for him and surprise him by giving it to him at Christmas.
Love him Van ..Just a simplr whittling project and fun to do ..Thank you for sharing
Love it! Thanks Van. These little, simple projects are great when you don't have a lot of time yet want to end up with a "finished" project.
Looks like fun. May have to try the hillbilly version.
Fantastic Van, thank you so very much for sharing.
Nice project, could easily change the hat and have a police officer, construction worker, cook, etc!
Yes! I have several different little guys!
Just out of curiosity what did you use to get the basic shape for the fireman before you started carving in the video cause I assume that it started as a square block of basswood
I am cutting it out on a bandsaw.
@@vankellywoodcarvings thank you… your work is truly incredible/inspiring and definitely keeps me motivated to continue to learn myself
Where is patter for front? Face ect? Wish you would start from the very start for new carvers
There isn't a front side to the pattern. I just use the side profile.
