That V4R doesn't have 221hp.. it still has the stock exhaust which is around 205. When you add the full akra race exhaust is when you get the full 221.

Correction: to avoid fools coming up and assuming I didn’t know about the busted tranny, I clearly do, having replied to a comment regarding the impressive busted tranny time with a potential quarter mile time in top shape. TLDR, I think 8 seconds are possible after repairs, not saying it’s slow. Go GTR, Go.

I friend of mine owned a ducati back in the late 1980's/early 1990's. On his way to work one day near the plant we worked at in Michigan a deer ran out in front of him. He could not avoid it (he was going failrly fast) and ended up cutting the deer in half. My friend broke his nose, a few other milor injuries and some bike damage. The bike got him to work and they took him to the hospital. He must have had a good guardian angel that day since many have died from less than that.

Besides Matt should bring back GT-Rs from AMS, at least they don't break and have a reinforced and forged transmission. And really costs a lot but a lot less. The 10 pack costs 50K. Compared to 300K, the difference is huge.
The problem with tuning cars and squeezing so much power out of them is that if you go too far they tend to blow up. Fair enough though, the GTR must be amazing for the brief period when it actually works! :)
When I was in high school, in the mid 80’s, I had a 1978 Honda CB750F..... I could destroy ANYTHING on the road... now, 30 years later, I ride a BMW S1000R and I encounter cars and trucks that can pull away from me at will. Times have changed.

There is no way a production car can beat a sport bike on a drag race. A machine like the Ducati V4S has a weight/power ratio of 0,84kg/hp, which is affordable only by a formula car.
also if these tests were done 20-40 times (like an actual 1 hour lap race), both cars would break down and the bike would be just warming up. Happened to a Dodge Viper vs FZR 1000 in 1993 Car and Driver. Cheers

Frankly, a broken gearbox is just an indication you need a new gearbox. Very healthy mindset with the mods.

it will break again and again. For that much power you need a completeley new transmission design which is impossible to do for just one tuner

I think getting a F1 started is hard enough. Even you own a F1, it will cost a lot extra to start a F1 engine.
Most importantly: F1 engine dies reallllllly fast and there is no way to repair/replace it.

11.8 isnt even good. With that hp and torque its slow. We have 8 sec cars in swedens streetrace and they have less hp and torque.
