Sometimes I like to listen to interviews about health and nutrition as I fall asleep. I put this one on with that as my intention. When he started his slides, i found the information so interesting that I couldn’t fall asleep. I sat up and watched the presentation. What a solid case for a plant-based diet! Wonderful presentation delivered by a kind and gentile man.

Thank you Chef AJ for bringing these awesome guests. I may not be SOS free or even vegan but i adopted the Mcdougall diet 85%-90% of the time. It makes me feel better & saved a whole lot of money. Recently out here in Indonesia there’s inflation in prices of chicken & egg along w/ hand & foot disease in cows. I’m so glad to respond to questions what do i do about that is nothing since i’m not eating any of them🤣🤣🤣🤣.

It's sad they don't focus much on diet in medical school. My husband was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes in the winter of 2018, he was scared to take metformin because of the side effects and under no circumstance was he willing to take insulin. He took that first initial pill to get his blood glucose levels down and for the next month he went from 366 to 109 and it was all while changing his diet, eliminating carbs, no coca-cola, no soda, no processed food, no outside fast-foods. The next 3 months of the new year Jan. 2019 - Mar. 2019, he proceeded to lose approx. 40 lbs. Fast forward to Jan. 2020, his blood glucose levels are normal and his A1c was 4.2%. Diet and just general exercise from work (warehouse) did the trick.
