Yes, you will definitely need more powerful PSU for such a GPU. My prodesk came with power supply model L70043-002. I can't recommend a particular model for an upgrade. However, I recommend you to carefully check the form factor and dimensions of the new power supply and to make sure that it will fit within the case of the prodesk.
Yes, there is a PCI Express Gen 3 x16 port on the motherboard. You can see it at 5:29. Keep in mind the case is very compact so physically the space inside is limited.
Very important remark about the RAM is that the profile must be JEDEC. Initially I tried upgrading with Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) RAM but it worked only at 2133MHz. So as mentioned in the video I had to return and replace it with another that had 2666MHz JEDEC profile.
This is a business PC. It is not made with gaming in mind. Although GTA V is an old game probably you should consider upgrading with an external GPU and depending the model also the PSU.
@@LeonAnavi another question, the maximum it supports is an i7-10700, if i buy an i7-10700F will it detect it? the second one is cheaper than the first one and i already have a graphic card and i don't want a processor with an integrated card.
@@ivanisai4330 well, may be but I am not the person to give 100% answer on this topic as I haven't performed CPU upgrade on this particular PC. Read the details in HP documentation. I think they have forums too.
You can try removing the CMOS battery that comes with the computer. It provides power to the real-time clock but also your passwords, and any special system setups.
I also own this prodesk 400 g7... i want to upgrade gpu... any recommended psu to support my 200w gpu?

i have the 705 g3 mini
Does this pc have space for a dgpu

Thanks for reviewing.
Is it suitable for 24h running and access to file remotely via TeamViewer?
Yes, it is a very good office computer. I still use it on one of my desks.
My fan is starting to make noise. Any thoughts on how to replace it?
well... you have to disassemble the computer as shown in the video, remove the fan, buy the same model and replace it.
10th gen i3/i5 supprts 2666MHz max, while 10th gen i7 supports only maximum 2933MHz. 11th gen supprts 3200MHz out of the box

Do you think I can play gta V ?
With good graphisme ?

Soportara una tarjeta gráfica rtx 4070
No, afaik NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 is with PCIe 4.0 x16 and HP Pro Desk 400 G7 offers internal PCIe x1 and x16 Gen 3.
Can the processor be upgraded to an i9?
I am not sure if is compatible. For ProDesk 400 G7, on HP web site the specifications include i7-10700, i5-10600, etc.
Would it support an i9 10900 processor?
No, as far as I can see in the HP technical specs for ProDesk 400 G7 i9 are not supported: support.hp.com/bg-en/document/c06918483

Hi can you help me how to reset the BIOS password? I cannot see the jumper

@@LeonAnavi yes thank you, I’ve been removing it a couple of times and it even has a button a yellow one
did you clear the bios password?
are you able to reset the BIOS password?
Да видим какво ще чуем!?
По-скоро има за гледане ;) С RAM паметта е малко изненадващо, защото работи само JEDEC профили за 2666 MHz.
