prior to entering the seminary and being ordained as priest, they already know that they are embracibg a life of celibacy. and so, if being a priest, they entered into a romantic (even sexual realatuonship), they must honorably leave their offices as priests and ask for dispensation.

Man is only allowed to marry before becoming a priest in the Eastern Orthodox Church. Bishops & Archbishops must remain single. I think a married priest can advise better in confessions with the help of his own experiences.

Priest should be married, the Bible actually commands it. The Bible didn't mention celibacy. Celibacy is not from catholic, it's from Hinduism adopted by the Roman catholic church.
true it's not in the bible remember the early and middle ages church priests and the pope have wifes but look what happen it became the source of corruption in the early church they didn't created that rules in the church without purpose. The apostles and their disciples left their family to serves God, their successors they didn’t marry for the sake of the kingdom of God and they lived chastity. If the priests are married they will divide their love to their family and the people, think about that.
@@tesschavit3009 Not true. When Moses and the Prophets in the Old Testament like Hosea, Isaiah and Ezekiel were all married. Did that prevent them from giving their full lives to God? Same thing with non prophets who gave their entire lives to God like Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, King David and Job. They all gave their whole lives to God, and yet God didn't force them to be celibate.

Hmmm...I think the Philippine Church should also consider accepting applicants for the permanent deacons. They could be of great help to the Church considering that most permanent deacons are married.

I believe there was a Plenary Council that abolished the Permanent Diaconate in the Philippines due to shortage of Priest in some Dioceses and Archdioceses in the Country.

In the Roman Catholic Church in Italy during the time of Charlemagne, there were two rulers: Imperial rule thru the municipalities and Papal Rule, espacially in the lands of the Donation of Pepin (ex. In the end the power and wealth of the locality is only divided between the local mayor and the parish priest, neglecting the poor in the process. When Gregory III, the Great, become Pope, he instituted the 'Vow of Celibacy< on the new priests so that they can serve the poor people the better.It shows that Priests can marry. When Pope Andreas was exposed as a woman, who is a child of a Priest, the "vow" became a permanent fixture of the Church, a requirement. Thus we believe that Priests were not allowed to marry. However their is a saying that "once a Priest is always a Priest! So wether he marries or not is not a problem but rather a choice.
Catholic priest is married to Christ and becomes His bride. it follows that all his attention is to serve Christ. it should be 100% commitment because the mission work is enormous there is almost no time for rest. Roman Catholic and Orthodox (Aglipay) is the same Catholic pero pinagkaiba pwede magasawa ang Orthodox. All of Christ disciple are Jewish, it is mandatory to thier law to marry meaning all his disciple are married men and possibly Christ is married also. You cannot be a Rabbi if you are not married. If his disciple call him Rabbi possibly he is married, only the catholic church discounted him as a married man. Catholic church was built not by christ follower but thru roman emperor constantine. Ther 'vow' was imposed because of the issue of nepotism, from the latin word nepo which means nephew-an euphemism. During the middle ages, the sons of the priests are usually literate therefore the the Town Mayor employs them in their administration in their townships.

If the priests are married they will love more their own family and their attention are more on their family than others. Priests sacrifice themselves for the salvation of God’s children, priests are consecrated the Bread and Wine into His Body and Blood (Eucharist) in catholic church the Sacred Host is not a symbol because Jesus he didn’t mentioned a word ‘symbol’ in John 6: 53-56 it is His real Body, Blood and soul and Divinity after the consecration of the bread and wine and that’s the mystery of God. A priest that still continues his priestly duties despite the suspension is actually violating another professed vow - the vow of obedience. A priest must at all times obey the order of his superior who is usually the bishop.

Hi po Ano po ba nanyari dito? For me they shouldn’t become priests. Celibacy is a prerequisite to priesthood. It only means that obviously Hindi nila kaya. Delikadesa. I actually think they are thinking more of self. We all have standards to follow if we don’t follow then there will be chaos. As what may be right for me may be wrong for anyone and vice versa.

We are all sinners, nobody is clean. Let us not judge as if we do not sin, because it is not our role to judge, it is only for God Himself because He is the One who knows everything. Let us pray instead that we may all be cast away from sin and return back faithfully and wholly to God.
Priests are like airplanes... its sole service or role is precisely not to fall. That is not only what is expected but the bottom general standard. The fall of one represents a critical failure in the structure that came up with the airplane, and the fall of one results in the death and injury of many. It creates fear and uncertainty in aviation industry itself.
Just like the effects of priests that have wrong doing, to their respective religious groups. The fact that all are sinners only states a generalization for every human in the world, such as that we all get hungry - it does not work as a save face sentiment for a church or priest with issues, though they use it as such. It says more about the organization than just the priest. They have to be called out because that is something that is not supposed to be happening.
Are all sins equal? Think about a person who caught a priest eating meat on holy week vs a parent of a child that was molested or worse raped by a priest - a spiritually appointed moral leader of a local community. The latter happens surprisingly and depressingly more often than we'd like to acknowledge, and partly because the religious organizations are so soft on calling them out and giving proper apprehension in the name of saving face.
"We are all sinners" but there's a difference when people criticize an airplane for running on a wrong schedule vs an airplane that completely crashes and takes lives of several people. Hope the point was made.
