- Hello everyone. In this new video, I fill you in on something I like to do often...Save money on plants. Join me as I take you through my process as I plant up a new hanging basket that will be sure to create a big impact in our yard. If you're like me, saving money always makes me happy. Thank you so much for your kind comment. So glad you enjoy our videos. It’s been hot for sure, but most plants have been hanging in there. I did loose some, but with extreme heat, you never know what’s going to happen. Still, I think we made it through and hopefully the heat will be behinds us now.
I love to find good deals from the clearance rack at Lowe’s. I found 4 Proven Winners superbena stormburst @$4 each last week. Took them home gave them some TLC and today the blooms opened up........I’m so happy 😁!
That is awesome! Anytime we can save a little, it's a good thing for sure. Plus, when you see how they do better under your care, it's so rewarding. Thanks for sharing. Stormburst is such a unique Superbena. Love that color. :)

I put the new plants in a pool with water and fertilizer. I let them rest for a day or two before planting.

I did see your mention of the TLC for the clearance plants for I believe you said 4 weeks. I bought some Calibrachoa Superbells from Plant Addicts and they weren't very happy coming out of the shipping box. I feel like I've been doing a decent job and it's been under 2 weeks but I was wondering if you could do a video on caring for plants from the store or elsewhere in their plastic pots... see if I'm missing anything. I wanted to make sure I brought them to good health / full bloom before I planted them all together in a hanging basket (similar to this video). But mine have so few blooms and I'm getting worried... I'm watching them, watering them (not too much), water soluble fertilizer and I just ordered some of the Flower tone to have on hand too. I just want some blooming baskets darn it! Ha-ha 😛
Thank you for that comment and request Victoria. I'm always looking for some new ideas for videos. I will right that one down and see if I can do one. I don't know why I didn't document that process better. Anyhoo, yes, it does take some time for plants to rebound. Seems like you're on the right track though. Just know that it doesn't always work well for all plants. In my experience, some plants seem to struggle and linger, even though you're caring for each plant the same.

What a great idea! Which lowes did you go to in your area? I can never find clearance items at my lowes!
I shop at my local Lowes stores here in Long Beach. One of the stores usually has more clearance than the other. It's really hit or miss. :)

Hey Penny. Thank you so much for that. Glad you like the videos. I haven't noticed any flies on my plants when I use Flower Tone. I mostly use it when I first plant things and it goes deep in the soil. Also, yes, our little Millie is a sweet dog for sure. She loves to make her appearances in the videos. :) Thanks much and have a great day.
