On my model, the float doesn't actually just come off like you showed. I watched several other channels until I found one that explain what the deal is. The stem ends with a little bulb captured at the bottom. One has to bend it aside from below in order to pull out the float from inside the cabinet. Thanks though.
Same. For others in this situation, here's a video I found that shows exactly how to unhook the float from below: ruclips.net/video/SyksCzWoesE/видео.html
THis just saved me $1000!
Louis, thanks for that link to how to release the float - greatly appreciated!
Thank you!!! I just fixed my Kitchen Aid Dishwasher with your video..
Thanks a million, fixed my own with your help!
As soon as I saw the entire dishwasher pulled out and on its side for a float, it was on to the next video
If you get the camera right in there so we can see exactly what you're doing it would help a lot. This is like trying to learn from across the room.
I didn’t see you put a washer back under the top white plastic retaining nut. Some models have rubber washers. Also, clean area good before placing washers back in place.
Yes!!
How do I remove the gray round piece that is in the dishwasher? I pulled up on it but it stops and don't come off easy like yours does. Kitchenaid - 7 years old. Thanks.
My dishwasher is still under warranty but not the labor part, what the heck
My float cap won't come off like is seen in the video..
Literally cant see anything hes doing.
