I left um for distrokid best decision i made. I think they are forcing smaller artists to pay because they need more money to give advances to the bigger artists like bigxtheplug

tbh if the $50 a YEAR they are asking is too much then maybe you arent ready to have your music out on streaming. Because if you were making more than $50 from your music (which isnt alot) then that $50 shouldnt even matter. From what I see mostly its artist that dont make money from their songs upset because now they have to pay to not be heard lol at least when people don't play your music theres a potential I may make 1/4 penny AND its free to collect. This is why soundclound an YT exist so you can upload music for FREE, brand yourself to a point where you can actually generate enough to pay for a digital distributor for god sakes it only $50 lmao

Yes it's only $50 for real bro to get ur music everywhere that's nothing when u look at all things u spend $50 dollars on and it's not a charge it's an investment it's 50 dollars annually so you're only paying $6 a month to have ur music everywhere which is like $1.50 a week to possibly mek a million If it randomly blows up fair to me

You also don't get it the day you pay either and they want you to be 500 in the hole before you receive your first 500

I was with unitedmasters then I told them I wanna take all my music from they platforms they agree but said they will still collect royalties I was upset that’s crazy I am in a legal battle with them be careful don’t sign up with unitedmasters they will try claim your royalties especially if you submitted your music

I know this video old so this aimed at all the other artists out there and i mean no disrespect; if you really believe in yourself, that $60 a year is worth is fam. UM really got resources to help the artist they see potential in.

@@liedecay UM has payed me every time around never delayed. 4th-6th day of the month.
@@liedecay yes bro they pay me monthly for every stream that occurred since the first of the pay month. and yes its typically $60 a year canadian roughly but if you work with them for long enough they typically make it cheaper for you.
Sorry young bull the math ain’t mathing. They gave you a free platform to get started and more royalties than other distributors. You got head start. What’s $30/50yr district still going to charge you and pay you less. 🤷🏽♂️

And you CAN rely on streams if you have good music catalogue, thats what you and many fail to realize. Having a catalogue of music that actually get streams incentives you to pay for a distribution services because YOU NEED IT. If you dont get any streams you literally do not need their service lol

@@JAYSPLASHMUSICI’m a unitedMasters user and I could say I agree with u a lot of people think once they put there music on all platforms they gonna make hella money of it Noo it takes time and if u got good quality music people will listen to u or if u get ur self oüt there more u can get a new audience to get more views on ur songs but people are to lazy the app helps people to put there music on all platforms but u really gotta get ur music out there more like paying for ads and stuff there pretty affordable if u ask me but this just my experience and I don’t really care for the money that ich comes later!! Only the müsic quality !

At this point United masters doesn’t even care how much hard work people put into there music they’re basically just telling you if you don’t pay the $30 they basically telling you get the hell out of here. Which is messed up because I had the same problem and now I’m never gonna use United masters ever again 😡
your choice of distributor has zero to do with them. You chose united and they chose to change their membership abilities. Yet to hear anyone who actually makes money from United Masters complaining and only you who dont even generate the $50 needed for the yearly membership. $50 a year is like $4 bucks a month and thats too steep? LMAO

Sure UM changing their membership requirements may effect the bottom barrel zero play guys but it doesnt effect their BOTTOM LINE its business and they want to business with people who have something to bring. You use their service for free to make $1.27 all of 2022 and complain when they charge you? Make it make sense..

It take money to mke money….if you didnt make good money from UM tht means u left all the work to tht label. U made no content to your music, you didnt pay for you own promo and u didnt play your own music on these platforms. Do these basics nd you will see rewards for you work.
