What Jackie meant was Oscars are usually given to more serious films, dramatical, biopics, historical, and deeply moving stuff. He def. deserve an Oscar regardless.

Jackie Chan is a great but humble actor who done incredible work.
Louisa Lewis he was my childhood idol. lived all his damn movies, I'm only 20 now but luckily my mom had allot of his English dubbed movies on vhs and I had to have watched drunken master about 50 times, who am I about 25, the rush hour series at least 20 and all his other ones at least 5 times.

For me, I did not watch his old movies again after I had watched most of his movies for many times as I grew up, but I still listen his classic songs sometimes. The feelings never change. You cannot find another action star who sings songs for his action movies.

From his point of view his movies are "cheap" compared to the overflated pricetags of American movies. He doesnt always get the nuances of what he says
Sometimes the nuances of what he says gets him into trouble when what he actually means is entirely different
