Regarding gear upgrade screwing up your resistance balance on the rest of your gear: being able to resocket runes is certainly a welcome change, but it's also worth noting that there is an awful glitch with the "sisters of garukhan" event (in act 2 I think), which is supposed to give you +10 lightning resist but isn't giving players that reward upon completion (both on normal and cruel modes), which means that any endgame players that experience this bug (which might be everyone) is down 20% lightning resistance while playing endgame, which results in a not-insignificant obstacle when resist-capping. A lot of people might not even realize this since the map will display the event as having been completed and that you received the resist reward even though you don't actually get the resist. I *really* hope the devs fix this in the patch this week.

The problem with ground effects isn't that there's too much stuff on the ground, the problem is I'm playing flame wall SRS and the flames cover literally everything.
I was also using SRS until I changed my build. They really need to give the option to turn off certain skill effects or at least tone it down with a silhouette to identify what is being covered by the firewall animation.
Thankfully they've acknowledged this issue on the podcast interview. They're working on tweaks to the engine (which includes the chaos that happen when playing coop) so that visual clutter is reduced or there's more clarity despite all the on-screen effects being present (Rather than a toggle option in effects due to conflicts their goals).
Mace changes or new melee weapons are pretty essential IMO. Even with the armor changes, I might take a break from the game until melee gets some fixes. Love the game so far, but the early access is hitting warrior harder than most classes.
I don't think buffing armour by 15% is going to do much at all. the way it interacts with the damage types needs to be reviewed. I don't give a shit about the slow mace skills. wouldn't matter if i could just face tank shit while using them lol. Makes no sense that i cant be a tank as a warrior unless i invest in evasion and or ES aswell. I am a Strength class.
There was a 2 hour interview with the devs on DarthMicrotransactions channel that answers some of your questions. They didn't specifically say what their desired power level is but Gemling with HOWA was the only build specifically called out and they said that they wanted boss fights to last 1-3 minutes.
I’ve never played Poe Poe 2 , I’ve always liked the idea of it but was never keen on screen movement clicking , now with WASD on poe2 , I’m living the dream ! I love game and I’m happy with what I’ve been given , leaving wow after 20 years , fk me this game is a breath of fresh air!!
Just to be clear, Jonathan wasn't talking about crafting mods he was talking about mods that were incorrectly getting culled in Tiered rares, like a T5 rare culling off all attack speed rolls. They have reworked where the mods cut off for the tiered rares to have better outcomes.

Here is a small tip for you before the patch comes out: While zooming it in the Atlas Map with the mouse wheel, press the Escape Key. When you open the map back up it should be zoomed out. It might take a few times but it will work!
The devs did a livestream Q&A immediately after the announcement that was on the twitch VOD or on GhazzyTV's youtube channel. Some of your questions that you had at the end of the video were addressed there. They were very transparent about a lot of things that they have planned so if you want more information I highly recommend checking it out.
Remember how much player feedback D4 got during its beta? And how much of that feedback was acted on? Blizzard: take notes! This is how you turn your game around one month after early access launch.
Thatll never happen because Blizzard is too vertically stacked with too many layers of management. GGG's company is the exact opposite where its horizontally stacked. This means small changes can be rapid fired like no tomorrow where as with Blizzard just a single small change that probably takes a dev 5 minutes to make has to go through multiple layers of management and multiple meetings over the course of weeks. The old Blizzard that was actually relatable is long dead and now its just a corpse piloted by greed.

They aren't doing a reset, because they aren't doing any balance changes right now. They are piling up balance changes and will put them in action together with a reset when the first league arrives. This was explained in the Q&A that was after the announcement.
@@MuscledRMHv2, The current characters play in the "Standard" league. The new league will be a separate realm and of course a completely new start for everyone.

GGG is always open to suggestions from the poe community man.They even follow my suggestion about some things a few years ago and i''m not even a streamer... If the idea is good they adopt it and execute it in the best imaginable way so everyone can be happy.
You excitement in this video is exactly why I love these devs and you can tell they actually care about their product first., cause we all feel this way and I love it. It is nice having faith and excitement in a big game and not being let down like every other AAA studio. My biggest complaint is Targeting Corpses being on by default and basically preventing me from looting until corpses are gone, so I hope they address this in this patch.
Just so you are aware, the loot filters in game has been addressed by both GGG and Neversink. TLDR it would be way too much stress on the server to have in game filters, i dont know the specifics, its just a lot more complex than we think. However, if you are talking about them just adding Neversink filters by default like in poe1, thats different. But an in game loot filter creator wont happen from what has been said

My brother in Kitava, if my trash ass can play and enjoy (beyond enjoy, honestly. I have never had a game grab me and bully me into wanting to do nothing else in the world, so quickly or efficiently before) this game after not playing 1 and seeing this passive tree and having a brain aneurysm, I have so much faith you can play and enjoy the fuck out of this game like the rest of us. C'mon man, it's fun in here.
One thing that I'm noticing, there is no value listed anywhere on my character screen ( that I have been able to find) for my current accuracy rating... there are numerous nodes in the passive tree that affect or are affected by this stat and I do not have a value readily available. I play on PS5 and maybe there is just difficulties or nuances to finding this?
I highly suggest watching the interview with the Tavern Talk podcast they did yesterday. It will give you a lot of insight on what theyre thinking with the game and how they plan on moving forward. They going into great details on a lot of things and they even talk about the hacking situation that happened and what the cause was.
I love Force but 25 minutes is very much NOT to the point. I saw the video length and no timestamps and will now close the video. Don't have time for this content creator algorithm bullshit 🤷
For your last question about the state of the builds, they answered during the interview. They want builds to be able to do the pinnacle bosses in 1 to 3 minutes of skilled combat at least for the first times. They can later be able to one shot them, but it should be only after lots of time and investment at higher tiers.
Regarding the High End Question you had towards the end of the video, they touched on this briefly in the interview with Ghazzy & DM. a) Mark mentioned that ideally they would want people to be spending 1-3 minutes on the Pinnacle bosses. b) They said something to the effect of "we have a better idea of the level we are shooting for now, so if we bring down like 10 things we will probably be pulling up like 50". c) They also mentioned that they think "Early Maps" are harder than they should be. So from that we can extrapolate the builds that are one-shotting the bosses are definitely not what is intended. Its still a big range so there are going to be a lot of things on the bubble that we can't make predictions on, but its more info than we had before.
This patch is insane for how fast they are addressing all these issues. One thing I personally want them to address is the crafting (especially at lower levels). I would rather use currency to craft than deal with trading but it's just not feasible with this system. You would need A LOT more currency dropping to be able to reliably craft anything useful but that would probably wreck the economy so I think the way crafting works needs to be improved to be less like a pure slot machine with no scouring orbs or anything.
i work for a gaming company and I think its top notch of GGG to release the game and give their devs what I am positive is a well deserved rest. Class act.
You can already zoom out really far on the mapping system just use your scroll wheel and as soon as you start to scroll out top escape and when you pull the mapping system back up you'll be zoomed out way farther than normal
Proposition to the developers: If you want to make the endgame even more variable, you should consider implementing something like the day of the zombies (or other creatures or the day of a certain place or certain magic) and those creatures will maybe be harder, more common and drop a lot more and better gear/drops or more experience. In the example with the day of zombies, you have to know where to find zombies, go there and fight. Tomorrow when you play, it's the day of the bats and you want to find out where to find a lot of bats to increase your rate of finding stuff. This way you would not go to the same places all the time trying to get good drops/experience. What do you think? It could also be changed to the day of the jungle, and the jungle would span monsters with increased drop rate... It would certainly increase my willing to play and I would be looking forward to the next day to see what new area I should reexplore to increase progress.

Idk if this is an issue that I haven't figured out or what but... I have 2 wands that I have slotted in main hand I&II and I have one Sceptre in my offhand. When I use my secondary wands my minions disappear and go back to first wands they respond. My thought is a toggle for the I& II Offhand so that I only use the one scepter for both wands.

they need to fix armor values cause as a warrior/titan player it’s frustrating to do t15 maps and getting 1 shots almost instantly with above average gears at least 60 exalt/ea piece for my gears. I rely heavily on my life leech and it’s not enough on the higher juiced up maps
They’re buffing armor this week. But it’s just a bandaid. They said it needs a rework. I’d imagine it’s coming in the next patch. they talked about a huge balancing patch coming and a new league just to start a new economy but it probably a month out

I really wish every kind of loot game would just copy Last Epochs loot filter system. Its entirely in game, its easy to learn, and incredibly fast and easy to make changes to it, so if you progress into the game a little further and you're seeing more loot than you want to pick up, it takes maybe 2 min to change it to your new preferences. And its just as shareable as PoE, and if you are using someone else filter its super easy to make changes to it to fit your needs. The only thing is that it could use a few more options for changing the way loot looks, but that's such a minor and easy fix.
I love how you're losing your shit over devs actually listening to feedback, really tells you a lot about the state of the industry. Hopefully I can play this game soon myself, seeing them addressing feedback like that, this quickly too is incredibly encouraging. Btw, turn that D4 channel into a PoE2 channel man
When it comes to endgame and player power they mentioned (during the interview with DM and Ghazzy) that a pinnacle boss fight should be around 1-3 minutes of actual skilled gameplay. They don't want people to just run in and one shot the boss without any mechanics at play. So I'm foreseeing some nerfs to certain playstyles or buffs to these bosses. I guess we'll see how it plays out.
I would love to see them implement a setting or slider for "environment business" ie. density of objects, plants, statues etc, moving set pieces, art etc. Stuff that makes the game just overly crowded and also makes my PC annoyed to render LOL. I was playing D2R and honestly like the more simple environments sometimes. Not everything has to be soooooo detailed and lush.
To your last question.. i think they need to address body blocking. Moves like Stampede and whirling assault do not cut through enemies like they show in demonstration videos. Often times you get body blocked and die by the monsters.
yes all of us will start again without any gear/currency and with a new economy and league mechanics (if they add a new one) but our current progress and characters will not be deleted and will just move to "standart league" which is a separate server where all characters are going after each league ends. Its always been this way since poe1

Oh interesting. I have 4 characters to maps but have never once received lightning resist from that event. At least as far as I am aware of.

Check out some of the non-SRS variants out there. Just saw a decent looking variation on maxroll that uses Snipers and Reavers, minus flamewall.

Maybe GGG aren't aiming for one specific play style/speed with PoE 2, but just let people pick whatever playstyle they enjoy the most
The devs did a livestream Q&A immediately after the announcement that was on the twitch VOD or on GhazzyTV's youtube channel. Some of your questions that you had at the end of the video were addressed there. They were very transparent about a lot of things that they have planned so if you want more information I highly recommend checking it out.

Blizzard: take notes! This is how you turn your game around one month after early access launch.
Thatll never happen because Blizzard is too vertically stacked with too many layers of management. GGG's company is the exact opposite where its horizontally stacked. This means small changes can be rapid fired like no tomorrow where as with Blizzard just a single small change that probably takes a dev 5 minutes to make has to go through multiple layers of management and multiple meetings over the course of weeks.
The old Blizzard that was actually relatable is long dead and now its just a corpse piloted by greed.

They aren't doing a reset, because they aren't doing any balance changes right now. They are piling up balance changes and will put them in action together with a reset when the first league arrives. This was explained in the Q&A that was after the announcement.
With a reset you dont mean wiping all our progress right but just starting a new league?

@@MuscledRMHv2, The current characters play in the "Standard" league. The new league will be a separate realm and of course a completely new start for everyone.

23:49 they addressed this in the interview after the video. Mark said characters at the top end should at least have a 1 to 3 minute fight with pinnacle bosses.

GGG is always open to suggestions from the poe community man.They even follow my suggestion about some things a few years ago and i''m not even a streamer... If the idea is good they adopt it and execute it in the best imaginable way so everyone can be happy.

I watched the full stream, saw two vids already of people recapping the stream, and now I'm watching yours. Im not addicted. You're addicted.
You excitement in this video is exactly why I love these devs and you can tell they actually care about their product first., cause we all feel this way and I love it. It is nice having faith and excitement in a big game and not being let down like every other AAA studio. My biggest complaint is Targeting Corpses being on by default and basically preventing me from looting until corpses are gone, so I hope they address this in this patch.
Just so you are aware, the loot filters in game has been addressed by both GGG and Neversink. TLDR it would be way too much stress on the server to have in game filters, i dont know the specifics, its just a lot more complex than we think. However, if you are talking about them just adding Neversink filters by default like in poe1, thats different. But an in game loot filter creator wont happen from what has been said

My brother in Kitava, if my trash ass can play and enjoy (beyond enjoy, honestly. I have never had a game grab me and bully me into wanting to do nothing else in the world, so quickly or efficiently before) this game after not playing 1 and seeing this passive tree and having a brain aneurysm, I have so much faith you can play and enjoy the fuck out of this game like the rest of us. C'mon man, it's fun in here.
One thing that I'm noticing, there is no value listed anywhere on my character screen ( that I have been able to find) for my current accuracy rating... there are numerous nodes in the passive tree that affect or are affected by this stat and I do not have a value readily available. I play on PS5 and maybe there is just difficulties or nuances to finding this?
I highly suggest watching the interview with the Tavern Talk podcast they did yesterday. It will give you a lot of insight on what theyre thinking with the game and how they plan on moving forward. They going into great details on a lot of things and they even talk about the hacking situation that happened and what the cause was.

For your last question about the state of the builds, they answered during the interview.
They want builds to be able to do the pinnacle bosses in 1 to 3 minutes of skilled combat at least for the first times. They can later be able to one shot them, but it should be only after lots of time and investment at higher tiers.
Regarding the High End Question you had towards the end of the video, they touched on this briefly in the interview with Ghazzy & DM.
a) Mark mentioned that ideally they would want people to be spending 1-3 minutes on the Pinnacle bosses.
b) They said something to the effect of "we have a better idea of the level we are shooting for now, so if we bring down like 10 things we will probably be pulling up like 50".
c) They also mentioned that they think "Early Maps" are harder than they should be.
So from that we can extrapolate the builds that are one-shotting the bosses are definitely not what is intended. Its still a big range so there are going to be a lot of things on the bubble that we can't make predictions on, but its more info than we had before.
If this channel just turned into a monthly update on games coming out and only poe2 content I would love it man

This patch is insane for how fast they are addressing all these issues. One thing I personally want them to address is the crafting (especially at lower levels). I would rather use currency to craft than deal with trading but it's just not feasible with this system. You would need A LOT more currency dropping to be able to reliably craft anything useful but that would probably wreck the economy so I think the way crafting works needs to be improved to be less like a pure slot machine with no scouring orbs or anything.
i work for a gaming company and I think its top notch of GGG to release the game and give their devs what I am positive is a well deserved rest. Class act.
They said in interview that the power level they're aiming for is something like pinacle boss being fight for 1-3 mins of proper combat.
Expect new league in a month or two at most. They plan on several league starts within the 6-12 month EA period, so it won't be too long from now.

Last game I put this many hours into was the division two. I put over 5000 hours into that game. I still play it. I’m already at 350 hours of POE two.

Crazy indeed in the game industry when developers actually listening to player feedback.
You can already zoom out really far on the mapping system just use your scroll wheel and as soon as you start to scroll out top escape and when you pull the mapping system back up you'll be zoomed out way farther than normal

Proposition to the developers:
If you want to make the endgame even more variable, you should consider implementing something like the day of the zombies (or other creatures or the day of a certain place or certain magic) and those creatures will maybe be harder, more common and drop a lot more and better gear/drops or more experience. In the example with the day of zombies, you have to know where to find zombies, go there and fight. Tomorrow when you play, it's the day of the bats and you want to find out where to find a lot of bats to increase your rate of finding stuff. This way you would not go to the same places all the time trying to get good drops/experience. What do you think? It could also be changed to the day of the jungle, and the jungle would span monsters with increased drop rate... It would certainly increase my willing to play and I would be looking forward to the next day to see what new area I should reexplore to increase progress.

it took them a while on helldivers 2 though. they onely started to listen when players dropped hard and actually didn't come back 😂
Not doing a reset is my biggest concern.. it smacks of ‘we don’t make mistakes’ and we see how that ends.

Idk if this is an issue that I haven't figured out or what but...
I have 2 wands that I have slotted in main hand I&II and I have one Sceptre in my offhand. When I use my secondary wands my minions disappear and go back to first wands they respond. My thought is a toggle for the I& II Offhand so that I only use the one scepter for both wands.

I really did not like it to have additional software running in the background in PoE1 to do proper trading.
Rolling a great item up, then BAM "Reduced stat requirements" or "+ light radius" lol - glad they are toning that down.

nothing pressing to be looking into but rather a question that wasn't asked in the Q&A that I have is that, seeing all the multiple classes at play now, and people cooking up all these feedback loop builds, I am wondering which of the existing playstyles are they hoping that poe2 would move towards
they need to fix armor values cause as a warrior/titan player it’s frustrating to do t15 maps and getting 1 shots almost instantly with above average gears at least 60 exalt/ea piece for my gears. I rely heavily on my life leech and it’s not enough on the higher juiced up maps
They’re buffing armor this week. But it’s just a bandaid. They said it needs a rework. I’d imagine it’s coming in the next patch. they talked about a huge balancing patch coming and a new league just to start a new economy but it probably a month out

Map completion indicators should be stupid easy to add for these wizards, and maps that are a little smaller than infinity would be nice too :)

I really wish every kind of loot game would just copy Last Epochs loot filter system. Its entirely in game, its easy to learn, and incredibly fast and easy to make changes to it, so if you progress into the game a little further and you're seeing more loot than you want to pick up, it takes maybe 2 min to change it to your new preferences. And its just as shareable as PoE, and if you are using someone else filter its super easy to make changes to it to fit your needs. The only thing is that it could use a few more options for changing the way loot looks, but that's such a minor and easy fix.
I love how you're losing your shit over devs actually listening to feedback, really tells you a lot about the state of the industry. Hopefully I can play this game soon myself, seeing them addressing feedback like that, this quickly too is incredibly encouraging. Btw, turn that D4 channel into a PoE2 channel man
When it comes to endgame and player power they mentioned (during the interview with DM and Ghazzy) that a pinnacle boss fight should be around 1-3 minutes of actual skilled gameplay. They don't want people to just run in and one shot the boss without any mechanics at play. So I'm foreseeing some nerfs to certain playstyles or buffs to these bosses. I guess we'll see how it plays out.
I would love to see them implement a setting or slider for "environment business" ie. density of objects, plants, statues etc, moving set pieces, art etc. Stuff that makes the game just overly crowded and also makes my PC annoyed to render LOL. I was playing D2R and honestly like the more simple environments sometimes. Not everything has to be soooooo detailed and lush.
For me, runes overwrite is the most useful thing. I have so much good gear in my stash not used right now because of resists.

To your last question.. i think they need to address body blocking. Moves like Stampede and whirling assault do not cut through enemies like they show in demonstration videos. Often times you get body blocked and die by the monsters.

yes all of us will start again without any gear/currency and with a new economy and league mechanics (if they add a new one) but our current progress and characters will not be deleted and will just move to "standart league" which is a separate server where all characters are going after each league ends. Its always been this way since poe1

omg...i took a break when i got to the mapping part because I had watched vids about many of this...ESPECIALLY the citadel problem. If reports come back that this is working well, my break will be over lol. And I honestly peed a little when you said they're going to allow resocketing on items hahaha
