Does your friend get you out of the corners or is he just saying that because you gave him a scare? and top speed how much do you have on him ,you may be able to drop your gearing to get more speed in the corners but retain your lead top end and is your quad the same width as his +a arms you cant throw a stock rappy into a corner like a 450, weight shifting and rider weight have a lot play in this is your friend a lot lighter than you? short of that you could always put a stroker kit in to give you more torque Most engine modified 450cc classes use stroker kits by add 4mm of stroke but reducing the piston bore by sleaving the it so it stays a 450cc hp looks good on paper but its torque that wins races.

Tim McWha Jr 450s are quick but there is no replacement for displacement and no mildly worked 450 is going to hang with a turbo 700 .
