    I love love love your tutorials!!! I can’t wait to sew all the patterns I purchased!! They’re just stashed away for the moment. I don’t have the right fabric to sew the items. Everything is so expensive here in Hawai’i.😩 Could I make 1 suggestion? What are your thoughts on purchasing a mic that you can clip to your shirt? When you’re sewing/serging/faced away from camera, we can still hear what you’re saying to us. Just thought I would put it out there.😊 Thank you so much for all of your time and dedication to helping us learn!! Happy New Year!!!

    How can you make this pattern reversible? I imagine the trick is in how the buttons are position? Awesome class!

    I wonder -would it be easier to sew the sleeve edges together if you turned the liner sleeve right side out and just tucked it inside the main sleeve?

  • @starsky0027
    @starsky0027 3 года назад +1

    Was sent here from the Fairy Jacket video to see how to make it reversible - this doesn't seem to explain the tricky sleeves I can't make out from the paper instruction. This looks like a nice jacket but it's just lined, not reversible or am I wrong?

    Hi, if I should sew this in softshell, is it nessesary to sew in the liner? if it is, what kind of fabric would you put in? I live in Denmark, and I would use it for spring and fall were it's often windy and rainy, but not freezing

    Could you sew the sleeve on the arm hole first and then sew down the sleeve and side seam all at once on this one? I usually do that, find it soo much easier. :)

    Love the jacket. I’m not sure you mentioned what kind of fabric you are sewing....... you said it wasn’t a knit...... can I make this with fleece ...... we live in Wisconsin:(

    • @EllieandMacPatternsLLC

      Rachel Wible I used a twill so no stretch needed 😉 I know of some that made it out of fleece so that should work nicely 😉

    • @annblachly8068
      @annblachly8068 3 года назад

      Woven outer and knit inner. However, the knit my grow/sag, where the woven won't. Something to consider.
      I'm sure someone who has used knit for the lining will have tips on how to prevent this.

  • @kaylasachse8527

    If I were to use a sherpa fabric, like you suggested, for the liner, would I have to size up to make sure it's not too tight with the extra bulk? I'm new at apparel sewing...

    • @EllieandMacPatternsLLC
      @EllieandMacPatternsLLC  5 лет назад +1

      Kayla Sachse yes I would. This pattern was done with a silky thin liner so if I was to use a thick liner I would size up 😉

    Another question I have is...... Can you not layer/sew the outer/liner pieces all together first, THEN assemble the jacket? I'm not much of a clothing maker, but it seems logical to me
