Well, for my money, Barbra is the GOAT of female vocalists. There's only one vocalist today that comes close, and that's Kelly Clarkson. Their ability to sing any genre is what separates them. Barbra has sung Broadway, Classical, Pop, Soft Rock, R&B, Jazz, Disco, and even some Reggae and Country. I always like to give this analogy: Barbra sings in 3D, while everyone else is in 2D. Her ability to interpret a lyric from her heart to yours is another thing that separates her from most.
Thanks for featuring this classic duet, which won Barbra an Academy Award for Best Original Song; she was the first woman to win this award for composing. And Kris will be greatly missed... what an amazing songwriter. This is my favorite version of "A Star Is Born" of the 4 made, but all for the big screen... it never played on Broadway, but rumor has it that it may be coming there in the future.
