Just a thought on two USB flash drives (2:02) why not use one 128 GB+ and add Ventoy on the USB flash drive.
One USB drive where you can add multiple ISO's that are bootable.
You even made a video on it and had that bonus feature at the end. I know I did it that way with Ventoy and it works like a charm.

I then reinstalled the system and updated everything in the drivers. Microsoft advised me to get a new hdmi cable for my TV which I use as a monitor. The new cable a good quality one didn't work. But the old one does. Weird. Can you advise me

*IMPORTANT TIP:* Just a quick tip for Windows 11 users. Be cautious at best when trying to make your OS look and/or feel like another OS (Windows 7 for example). Those OS-altering apps screw up the Windows registry and in my case, rendered Windows 11 to a useless, blue-screen state. The error code was "CRITICAL PROCESS DIED". I was trying to make my Father's new laptop that runs Windows 11 look and feel like Windows 7 using those OS altering apps like open-shell and a couple of others -- they rendered Windows 11 completely useless after a restart. I know why. It's from messing with the registry too much and it rendered the OS useless with no fix -- other than re-installing the OS. I ended up using Windows 10 instead, as Windows 10 doesn't really need any of those questionable apps to make it look sort of like Windows 7. My Father hates every other OS except Windows 7. He can't let it go, but I can't blame him.

It is on a new Samsung EVO 980 Pro, 2TB and also have this for on my other EVO 980 ssd. But if I clone that to a sata ssd, the computer does boot. I have tried this on 2 different motherboards Asus and MSI, and that BSOD is on both. I can't get it fixed with any tool. The ssd's are good, because with Windows 10 I don't have this problem.

@@AskYourComputerGuy It's an odd problem. Windows 11 initially installs fine, but on reboot I get the BSOD and this on with 2 new SSDs and tried on 2 different motherboards. As an experiment I had cloned an NVMe ssd to a sata ssd and there I was able to continue the install. I then downloaded a new Windows 11 from Microsoft, thinking the iso was corrupted, but the problem remains the same. Then installed a Windows 10 and it works perfectly. I then upgraded to WIndows 11 and then the system works without BSOD. I was told that it could be because of my Intel I7-9700K processor, that there could be a bug there. I'm already used to severe problems with PCs, but never had this error before. Soon I will buy myself a new motherboard with a heavier processor and hope it will work.

      Go to Control Panel
      Select System and Security
      Select System

The CLOCK_WATCHDOG_ Timeout error indicates that the CPU is hanging, which is often caused by an unstable overclock or a faulty CPU. This error occurs when a clock interrupt on a secondary processor in a multi-processor system isn't received within the allocated interval. The bug check typically occurs when the processor is deadlocked or nonresponsive.

Unrelenting system crashing with stop code CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT
Oct 28, 2023 - Clock_Watchdog_Timeout means that the CPU is hanging. It's most often seen with an unstable overclock, but can be a faulty CPU. Go into the BIOS ...
Here are some ways to fix the CLOCK_WATCHDOG_Timeout error:
      Update drivers
      Update BIOS
      Disable C1-E in BIOS
      Reset BIOS
      Remove overclocking feature
      Update SSD firmware
      Increase RAM
      Update Windows
You can use the Device Manager to check for driver updates and install them if available. Type “device manager” in the Start Menu search bar and select the Best Match. Check for any yellow error indicators.
You can also run the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool to check for memory problems. First, press Win+R. At the Open field in the Run window, type mdsched.exe and click OK.

@@AskYourComputerGuy Many thanks for your reply. I have tried most of your suggestions. The drivers are up to date; the RAM is massive & does not need increasing; Windows is up to date. I have run the diagnostic tool, but will try that again. The 3 x BIOS points are new to me, so I will try them. Are there any guides to doing that? I really am NOT a tecchie!

I recall that when Microsoft introduced Windows 95, Bill Gates was up on the stage doing the dog and pony show and got a BSOD. How em-bear-assing.
After having exactly this issue on my main desktop computer that was impossible to fix, I changed how I configure my computers. I now partition my main drive into C: and D: where C: holds the operating system and apps only and D: is data. This should, in theory, make the data more easily recoverable if C: is completely shot. ( Yes, I do have other backups) Also, for a relatively low cost, I install a second hard drive to which I duplicate the main drive. A quick change of boot order in the BIOS gets things back up and running if C: is unrecoverable. Yes, it may need a lot of updates but that's pretty quick to do. Or boot to the second drive every month or so to update it. Next time the BSOD happens to you, and nothing seems to work, ask yourself how much you would be willing to pay to get back to work in just a few minutes. That might offer some insight into what you might want to do to assist in a quick recovery solution.

Having a second computer to trouble shoot with is invaluable. My issue was programs crashing. I decided to reinstall windows. That is where the BSOD happened with impunity. I got so many different BSOD after trying to reinstall, but one code came up a few times, Memory_Stop. Rolled the dice and put in new RAM and everything went just like butter from start to finish. When it occurs, the BSOD only appears for like 2-3 seconds, then the system reboots. There is not time for me to catch the code in any way. Perhaps if I decided to stalk my monitor for an entire day, phone in hand, ready to snap a photo at the exact moment it goes fubar. :)

@@AskYourComputerGuy It started happening after a win 11 update. Previously my system ran fine. I have heard that there is some "bug" in win 11 that only affect certain chip sets or whatever, leading to these BSOD's. It can happen at any time (like during the night) and has nothing what so ever to do with "what is currently going on" with the computer. Happens on average one or two times per 24h.
My solution leans towards rinsing win 11 and installing win 10.

I'm pretty computer savvy. The fact that I'm looking up solutions is proof of my situation being stupid.
So I was using my PC, windows 10, got the notification reminding me that windows 10 is going to be losing support. So I decided to go ahead and downgrade to windows 11.
Going through the process of seeing why it says my computer isn't eligible, I find out windows 11 won't install on a drive formatted to anything other than gpt.
So I find a tutorial to convert it without wiping the drive. I follow it and it breaks my computer, getting blue screens galore, so I figure I'll send my most important files to another drive, format the drive to gpt, and install Windows 11.
It didn't fix it, I had many problems. I figured it was a windows 11 problem. I tried another drive that has windows 11 I've used before, and it worked until it updated.
So I put the old drive back in and install Windows 10. Which is where I am now, but I'm still getting blue screens. I'm very frustrated right now.

@@AskYourComputerGuy I did that today, about 30 minutes ago in fact. I'm not quite sure how but it must be a hardware issue, I've tried 2 drives and 2 operating systems and I'm getting the same problems. The fresh windows 10 I installed after deleting the partitions, cleaning the drive in the command console, and converting to MBR won't even install chrome. There was an error, I restarted the PC and there was an error again. At this point I think I'm just going to use a backup PC until can order new parts and just build a new PC. Perhaps I'll try a new motherboard first or a different graphics card to make sure they aren't the issues.
I'd try to record the error code, but it's so random when it blue screens.

Lately, you start an account up and it gives you a second to choose something you want to read ... and then it spins up an advertisement for Microsoft 365 or something. Drives me nuts!
