thank you for posting this! my 08 TB has the service traction control light when its cold out. I am about to replace this part also, this will help a lot, thanks!
Great video and thank you for posting! I just replaced mine yesterday saved a lot of money but this process is not easy as you make it, it took me about 2 hours (I took my Time) try'n to work in a very small space but I got it done, thanks again for the post!
It did stop the problem, it's a pain in the azz change out trust me, but it's not that hard to do your just gonna be uncomfortable for a minute while changing out the part
Ali Ismail . Thank you . Also You can reset the old sensor. Some time you repair your steering box. Then also this light is coming ON. Then you can repair your sensor. I hope I will post new video that's how to repair this sensor. Because this sensor is expensive.
Great video and helped a lot. Problem is, I installed the new steering wheel sensor and did the steering wheel test. And the lights came back on. Any suggestions on what the problem is? I'm wondering if it's something affiliated with the wheels or braking system of some sort. Thanks
@@bilalautocenter6722 Hmmm.. I may have messed that up. Was doing job in a "one car garage" and i think the steering wheel may have been turned some. Thanks, ill give that a try
Did that take care of it? Because I replaced mine already on 08. With a dorman brand. Lights are still coming on. I could be a defective one. Not sure. But this is the biggest pain for because I cannot Salve it.
Fernando Gonzalez . when you changed it. your steering is centre? you didn't move the steering left or right?. if you didn't move your steering. then remove the battery terminal for 5 or 10 minutes. then connect the again battery. and start the car and check out.
My mechanic just replaced the one in my 07 with the latest version. It solved the problem I had when starting the vehicle with the wheels turned then driving odd - the stabilitrak light would come on. But now after about an hour of highway driving the light comes on. Could this mean the steering wheel got turned during the replacement and now there is a conflict?
So I get this code CO455 when I try to engage 4 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive will not engage. I'm guessing that sensor code won't allow. Anyone else have this problem?
Excellent video. Straight to the point. Very helpful. Thanks.

Daz, did it solve the problem? I have a 2008 Trailblazer and it has the same code and icons displayed.
Only happens in cold weather. Bert

Thanks for this. Doing today and tomorrow when the new part comes in. Helped a lot to see how.

Great video. If you can do the entire fix with one hand I think I should be able to tackle this.
Thanks for the video. This is helpful 👍🏼
Thanks for posting. Just fixed my GMC envoy.
GREAT JOB YOUNG MAN!!!
You forgot the plate that holds sensor in . It could slide back and lock steering. 👍

Tried 3 Dorman's with no luck. Try an AC DELCO if that doesn't work try tracing wires back to EBCM. You may need a module...
