I went there in 2009 and I cannot relate more than what you are saying. So clean, so safe, so friendly. And yes you have to mingle with the locals. I discovered places I would have never imagined. I hope Rwanda will keep its authenticity.

I traveled solo to Rwanda, and I'm so amazed how friendly everyone I met. If I had a question or needed help, someone is always there to assist me. I love listening to local stories. Some stories are heart breaking, but at the end, I so appreciate their inner strength and drive to motivation to have a better life. The cleanliness of this country impressed me. I hope other African countries would follow Rwanda's effort to keep a clean country. Thanks for the video!

When I worked for Wofford College in SC, they actively recruited students from Rwanda. The person that led the effort told me that the students never complained about their losses from the genocide, instead they spoke of who they still had. "I have two aunties and a grandmother." When I met the students I was struck by their aura; they radiated gentleness and warmth. When I saw your photos with Rwandans, their eyes glowed in that same way.

I would like to suggest you to visit Kivu lake region ,go for a trekking in Nyungwe forest area and go boating around Kibuye. Happy Stay.

A friend opted to go live in Uganda claiming it is far cheaper and the variety of meal is same with Nigeria. Although I really love Rwanda and I think my future wife is in that country. Lol!

Black Africans are some of the best people you'll find on the planet. In Jamaica--never been to Africa, but will go--, they were kind and polite. One even apologized to me for saying, I think, "Good afternoon" instead of "Good evening." At an African fair, at Indiana University, they had some of the best food!! if not the absolute best!, and I think it was the absolute best, I'd ever had in my life!

As far as Africa goes, I've only been to Morocco, but I've been wanting to explore deeper for years. I've considered Mauritania, Chad, Namibia, South Africa, and Ethiopia. And now this video makes a strong case for Rwanda! It's simultaneously encouraging and frustrating how many beautiful places there are on such an underappreciated continent.

The best animals in Africa to interact with are Giraffes, especially when they are used to humans. I haven’t been to the East of Rwanda, where the Safari areas are, but ‘met’ Giraffes in Zimbabwe and Kenya

How many nights did you stay in Kigali? I’m planning a trip to Rwanda next year. I wanted to do a four day Uganda/Rwanda gorilla trek but stay at least 7 days in Kigali. I long should stay to really get a feel for the culture etc in Kigali?
I went twice,becaus my girlfriend is Rwandese and we live in the Netherlands and i met het familie over these and it was wonderfull,of jou go there, visit the Kivu lake, is just paradise there

Vaccines for what? There is no kind of vaccines and the weather is so adaptable unless for one who could catch cold easily. And Rwanda is so lovely from people, hospitality, food, nature, security, and cleanliness.
Tipping hotel staff $10 per day? In a country where hotel prices in the range $10-30 is very common? I don't consider myself cheap, and I always tip in countries where that's the norm, but seriously - tipping 30-100% is not going to happen. Ever.

It's more than Tanzania and Kenya. The gorilla treks are expensive but worth it. The price depends really on accomodation you choose

Actually Rwanda was one of the first country to issue visa on arrival.
So visa is never an issue
You can get it online or on arrival. If you get it online you safe about ten minutes at the airport (and can pay by credit card instead of USD cash)
