    During the _PZero Corsa_ performance tests with Pirelli at the Nürburgring circuit, we captured an *incredible performance* with the *Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce*. The SV comes out with a bang by tearing down the wall of *7 minutes*.

      SoCalSupercars Lamborghini learned at lot from Veneno development. This SV model benefits from it. I still think Veneno is faster here because of less weight.

    • @nivracer
      @nivracer 9 лет назад +29

      Jeffrey Williams There is going to be a lot more down force too. I wish Lamborghini would take a Veneno out on ‪Nürburgring‬.

    • @Mustafa_Al_Bulushi94
      @Mustafa_Al_Bulushi94 9 лет назад +27

      SoCalSupercars I will assume that 918 is the best hypercar in track among the three because the other two are just afraid like chicken when there is a track test. And us we knew from Evo battle between 918 and P1 that corsa is less sticky tire than both MPC2 and Trofeo R. So, if possible to fit one of these two tires in Aventador, it will definitely be faster than 918 which is the best on the track out of the three. Then, we can say all goodbye hypercars.

    • @jeffwill4923
      @jeffwill4923 9 лет назад +5

      nivracer The wing can be manually adjusted. There isn't no DRS like P1 but Veneno would do better in corners because of slightly more downforce. The straits I'm not so sure still would nice to see it have a go.
      Lamborghini claims 220mph for Veneno and 217 SV model. So much for all that drag.Not proven yet but numbers are interesting.

    • @Mustafa_Al_Bulushi94
      @Mustafa_Al_Bulushi94 9 лет назад +1

      ***** Yes, it is but ferrari managers are afraid to show what their car can do. So far they have been invited in three test but they declared from all. I think they are afraid of P1 may be. I do not really know why but they are afraid of something for sure.

      Alex Bliss Especially if you play anything sim-like on pc or console, it's easy to think that they could've shaved off a solid 3-4 seconds with a better run. But taking a company's gem out and ripping up a circuit like Nurburgring is a feat in itself. You can imagine how frayed the driver's nerves were by the end. With that much power, he probably needed 15 minutes just to gain full speech function back ;)

    • @ThePhiltastic
      @ThePhiltastic 9 лет назад +19

      Lambo Pleb the hybrid system is just a marketing gag. It doesn't make the car faster in any way.

    • @ITsIMP0RT4NT
      @ITsIMP0RT4NT 9 лет назад +7

      In a way I can understand that logic, because if you look at the Aventador's V12 predecessors (the Diablo [4K LBS], Reventon [4K LBS], Murcielago [3.8K LBS], and Murcielago SV [3.6K LBS]) they were all tanks in comparison. The original Aventador came in at just over 3,400lbs (which actually isn't all that bad with all the new equipment they're shoving into these super/hyper sports-cars nowadays) with the new SV weighing just slightly under 3,300lbs. You've gotta admit that's one hell of a light car for everything it's got crammed into it, AWD, electronics, V12, ect... When compared to other AWD sports cars like the Subaru STI or Mitsubishi EVO, both of which weigh more and both of which have engines that are about 1/3 the weight. It all really just comes down to the materials being used now, that weren't 10, 15, 20, or even 5 years ago. When the entire chassis (or I guess monocoque) is made from carbon fibre, along with all the body panels, these cars can afford to carry all these extra amenities, use AWD, have big engines, and still keep their weight down which is the key in their ability to handle really well. Because really all an Aventador is, is a modern day AWD Diablo. Not much in the way of suspension and engine technology has changed that much, to the point where if the same materials used on the Diablo were used on the Aventador, the difference in time between the two going around the same circuit wouldn't be much at all. However the change in materials ALONG with the updates in technology has slingshotted the performance of these new super/hyper cars to a level that previously took 50-60 years to achieve in really only 10-20 years. Of course a large reason for this happening now rather than 40-50 years ago is because of the cost of materials going down (carbon fiber) and the persistence of the manufacturers to use new methods of propulsion in more than just commuter cars ([hybrid technology in cars like the P1, LaFerrari, 918, and NSX] which 50 years ago would've been science fiction because the oil companies were buying patents for any type of hybrid vehicle, left and right. All to prevent the tech from being admitted into new models exception for manufacturers concept cars). Luckily governments have slowly begun to tighten its squeeze on controlling the climate for the better and have come out with new laws requiring cars to get better gas mileage. So now instead of selling off those hybrid patents the manufacturers are either keeping them and applying them to their own vehicles or focusing on making their cars more efficient, which makes technologies that were once overly complicated and expensive, go up in demand. So now we have more R&D being done on new materials and ideas being put into more products lowering the prices. Thats why the Aventador SV ($400K) of today handles light years better than the Reventon ($1Million) of 2008, even though the Reventon employed many of the new things the SV does, it couldn't do it on the same scale because of cost. So instead of being just a straight line monster its also a track beast.

    Sub 7 minutes? YES
    The reference lap that most companies use these days are 20.600 meters long, without the 232 meters section called P13.
    Porsche
    Nissan
    Chevrolet
    Sport Auto Magazine
    Renault
    and most others use this as the reference lap.
    It is around 5 seconds short of the old reference full lap.
    STOP WHINING PLEASE :-)

      Dag Johnsen Interesting. So since when they have started using a shorter version of the track? I ask because if they started like 10 years ago then it really doesnt matter, but if they started like some months or few years ago then it really makes difference

    • @Maody66TV
      @Maody66TV 9 лет назад +2

      adrian Imho is the reference "industry-lap" (misses the 5 - 7 seconds lasting passage of the grandstand T13) used since a minimum of 10 years. Also the most track related German car magazine (sportauto) uses this reference lap for their famous "supertest". So all the laptimes for NoS you heard or read in the last years are such of the industry-lap.

    Absolutely staggering! What i like most about the idea of only being 3 seconds short to the 918 is, that all of this was achieved in a wild SV version of a big angry V12 powered Italian bull! As many journalist said, big V12 Lamborghinis always had that certain fear factor to them, that the car could kill you every second you were driving it and that with the Aventador, this fear factor was gone missing. After seeing the lap of the SV pushed to the limit (and on few occasions just lurking over the edge of it), I am not so sure anymore, that they were right..

      WhatIWant But, seriously though, if you can afford a 918, I doubt fuel economy would be a top concern. LOL. I know it's totally irrelevant how fast a car is in some track, and how the car actually drives and feels is far more important, but just for fun, it would be nice to see how far they can be pushed. By the way, I think a new 911 Turbo S might get seriously close to 7 minute mark, considering how fast it is in comparison to a 918 on shorter tracks.

It is Porsche who cares abut advertising their car.

    a lamborghini fan here.... why hasn't lamborghini adressed the roll cage in the car? there is no cage in the stock car so one could assume there are other modifications? please lamborghini don't lie to us and show us a legit stock run

    •  8 лет назад +1

      I'm sure they aren't pulling the wool over anyone's eyes as they also openly stated that the car is running different tires too. You probably shouldn't assume that there were other modifications made though. It's likely that there is a roll cage because they only had enough time for like one or two laps, it would not have been safe to have the driver push this car to its absolute limits on only two laps; you can even see the driver almost lose control a few times. The roll cage and the tires are likely the only modifications made to the car and neither are hidden.

    Awesome job. This's what an Aventador should look like. Can't believe it bargain the 918 before Ferrari does. Wonder what'll happen if it wear Trofeo R tires.
    I have to point out its Haldex XWD system. The system isn't good as GTR's ATTESA ETS (GTR) The Haldex is a FWD based AWD, although it can send 100% power to front and rear but the center diff is a limited slip coupling or viscous limited slip..... means lagging and delayed torque delivery, you've to wait for the fluid to expand in order to split torque. The GTR's AWD is more sophisticated, it runs a multi plate clutch means power can be deliver quicker. Also, both car send more power to rear most of the time, wonder why would you want a FWD based AWD to gain more drivetrain lost!? Have a look at 5:01, looks like the AWD isn't quick enough, the driver is the one saving the car more than the AWD.

      Jeffrey Williams Yes, the Aventador is impressive at the straight line, almost 210 mph! Agree, the 918 without batteries won't hit 310 at the last straight.

      @pascalmpower7944 9 лет назад +2

      brian centi Forget about Nismo first hahaha the LP750 SV handles well. This probably the best car Lambo ever made. At least they didn't test the Veneno on Nurburg. However, that partly thanks to VW engineers.

    • @briancenti5423
      @briancenti5423 9 лет назад

      LAUNCH CONTROL 東瀛戰神 yeah, that veneno isn't worth any where near what is asked of it..what is it, like $ 4 million !!!!!
      and it only has the same HP rating as the $400,000 SV !!!!
      there's a bargain :(..nothing like paying to go slow and it looks like shit, sorry and this coming from a die-hard lambo fan..but the veneno isn't my favorite..now on the the other hand, the SV is incredible and maybe, just maybe lamborghini is finally getting somewhere with there supercars in the handling / balance dept.
      this run impressed the hell out of me and restored my faith in my favorite brand :)

      DoctaM3 Thats not true! The Ferrari 599XX did a 6:58min, but Ferrari didn´t cheat like Porsche or Lamborghini. If you do a 100% FULL(!) Lap in these cars (918 & LP750) and dont stop the watch 80m before the finishline then you came up with times around 7:03 -7:05min. As a German i have to say that it is a shame that Porsche needs to cheat to get their under 7min car. But anyway the performance of the Lambo is very impressive!

    It doesn't cost half the price of a p1 or laferrari, doesn't have as much power, yet faster around the ring. 918 is faster by less than three seconds, but for differences in price and power, that's pretty good. Just embarrasses the others. Guess with that much power and speed only a 4wd can keep it under control.

    • @samr1321
      @samr1321 9 лет назад

      +smsuperman LaFerrari hasn't set a lap around Nurburgring so we don't know yet. Bur yes, it is cheaper than the Ferrari. Sorry, AWD/4WD are and will never be faster than RWD race cars. For that reason you never see a AWD racing car.

    • @smsuperman1219
      @smsuperman1219 9 лет назад

      +Sam R The laferrari has been to the ring and they claimed to have made a ridiculously faster time which was never proven. They tried to set record time and failed. Race cars are rwd, much lighter giving better handling, stiffer, don't need a thousand horsepower because of weight, uses tires illegal on the streets. The ring is dangerous, easy to lose control. Awd will have an advantage on bumpy unpredictable roads. On a true high speed race track the rwd is superior. Therefore you don't know what you are talking about. ;)

    • @samr1321
      @samr1321 9 лет назад

      smsuperman Lol yeah I don't know what I am talking about! That's why all the insane laps were set by RWD cars. Zonda R, SR8/LM. lol Everybody knows that AWD produces massive understeer. The only time you can get rid of the understeer is when you have zero power deliverd to front wheels while turning. Thats the case with bot 918 and Aventador. Therefore, both cars are RWD around corners. In a straight line, the only advantage is when you set of from ZERO. lol Look who doesn't know what he is talking abut! lol

      In description there are two suspicious words - "during" and "development", and no clear statements about what tyres were actually fitted. That could have been some development tyres that will never see the streets due to extremely high wear. Not convinced. There're so much marketing today on Nords records, I bet we'll see many dirty moves in near future.

    wow thats an amazing lap right there! what a balanced machine. for those of you who know the the ring, you should have noticed the big correction the driver made on galgenkopf (the last corner before the long straight called döttinger höhe)... if he could kept the momentum out of that corner, im pretty sure he would had marked 6:57 or even 6:56... anyhow bravo lamborghini and big respect for the pilot behind this machine #AventadorSV #Lamborghini #Nürburgring #Pirelli
