I've actually done a GT3 RS ring taxi tour and I was quiet for about half an hour after the lap. People think they're fast or lap great times on Assetto Corsa with all the assists off, but the raw feeling of being in a GT3 with a competent driver at the wheel... it's something else. The G forces while braking and cornering... The speed when they corner. In your mind you know you'd crash in your own car at that speed, but the GT3 just handles it. It cost me 300 euro for 1 lap, but it was money well spent.
Hate on AC if you must, but you have to admit that sims like Assetto Corsa are great for getting to know the track. Even on the game, i tend to fatigue throughout the 2nd half of the track and can end up hitting a wall from loss of concentration. It amazes me to see how they are taking the turns and hear the throttle response on certain parts of the turn. Throughout this video i was amazed at when the throttle was being applied around some of the turns. Even on a Sim, I'm not confident to get back on the throttle on some of the turns. I'm like woah, that's borderline crazy. If only the passenger was more familiar with the track. He would know where the scary parts are 😂

Most street drivers do just the opposite.
Probably not, because Porsche say that ca 70% of (regular) GT3 owners take it to the track. And I think they are generally doing OK, as the Ring is "owned" by Porsche drivers, as you can see in virtually any Ring video. It is a true drivers car, if you go anywhere in the Alps that is the #1 car for people who drive for fun, or if you go anywhere where there are driving roads, the Porsche count is always high.

And he's very smooth. Most all inputs are nice and gradual, unless it's a quick slip correction, nothing to upset the car. He knows where to be and at what speed at every corner, to be fast without over-cooking it. All of the super-fast laps are like that that I've seen, very smooth and relaxed and confident.
I have driven three different Porches and they are amazing. Kevin is so casual talking and gesturing with his hands. This would be the most awesome absolutely terrifying experience ever in a car.

Absolutely stunning. I haven't seen such a talented driver on a Porsche in Nordschleife before. Most of the corners are passed over 200 km/h. Incredibly insane. Andrew, you are a lucky man.
Impressive! This is the only driver I see in a RUclips video who could chat with his passenger so frequently, yet still drive flat out! The other drivers fully focused on driving without a single word.
For an ordinary driver of ordinary cars like me these speeds, acceleration, amount of grip while cornering, and sheer velocity and aggression he attacks everything he sees with are all mind boggling. And yet this guy is chatting with his passenger as if he was sipping coffee at the office. Extremely impressive.
Guy is a boss, love that one turn with one hand on the wheel chatting like he was on a casual drive down the blvd! Great car and engine, love the 911s.
A great display of relaxed concentration & spectacular driving. One key to remember while at high speeds (in karts, cars, bikes, etc.) is to keep the neck and shoulders relaxed. And look way down the road especially through the twisty-bits. That takes gobs of practice. Important not to target fixate as well - target fixating leads to mistakes and crashes.
I always notice with true racers the difference of short, quick, purposeful movements of the steering wheel in relation to most of us operating it in more of a smooth Sunday-drive type of way. We become to focused on comfort over our driving years and overcoming that seems a good place to start in becoming a better racer (to whatever degree one takes that).
Such an awesome video! Incredible driver and car combination! 1:47 - When Andrew realised Kevin definitely was not going to be taking it easy this lap!
ok heres the plan today, im going to take you for a lap on the 'Ring, then at 300kmh im going to drive with one hand, take my eyes off the track & carry on a conversation with you, then use my free hand to show you whats coming up on the next turn, when we finish ill park in the car park and then we can run in for the buffet WTF!?!?!?!
@@farmerkevin on one hand roller coasters pull 3g's.... 🤣🤣🤣
She might have big balls
This guy is better than the stig.
its his cousin
The stig call him master
Some say that guy is son of Stig and porsche 911 targa
Chuck Norris thought this guy how to drive...😜
Better than Perry McCarty ? Lol......
Is this car glued to the track, or what? Crazy grip and downforce.
No, just proper weight distribution.
39/61 weight distribution, but it's a combination of an overall well engineered car; suspension, chassis, downforce, tires, and so on.
German engineering :3
No, just proper driving.
Literal goosebumps when he tears through the curves. What a lap!
I have driven three different Porches and they are amazing. Kevin is so casual talking and gesturing with his hands. This would be the most awesome absolutely terrifying experience ever in a car.
I kept expecting Sabine to pass him in a transit van.
LMAO HAHAH
Rip 💔
I have a feeling my heart is beating faster just watching this video than Kevin’s was while driving it. What an amazing driver. And the car is a masterpiece. Looks like a day to remember forever - thank you for sharing the video!
This is why the GT3 and GT3 RS are so loved and bought, because it does everything: Perfect.
I just watched dodge hellcat on Nurburgring and im cleansing my soul.
Hahahhaahah same
I got here after watching that video loool
@@Akashsk8 same hahah
bahahah I seriously couldnt bring myself to click on that video but it was suggested and now im here. Must be the Porsche gods saving us all from sin.
Same... That last one was like watching a middle aged man 100lbs overweight trying to learn how to surf. This was like watching an old pro take on Mavericks.
At 3:10 lol wtf. Look at the precision how amazing ! Props for this driver big time.
Just shredding the ring, having a casual chat. No big deal 😮😉🤣
Guys like this are amazing. I've taken several Porsche driving courses, and still am not able to fathom how good guys like this really are. Much respect.
This is one of the greatest videos on the internet . I'm emotional right now. I'm going to go drive my sled around Lake Hodges right now acting like Kevin (minus 135mph). Can you imagine Estre running from the law in LA or anywhere with a freeway in a GT3 dumped sled with or without traffic...all on an GoPro!
That car is an absolute engineering masterpiece.
Absolutely stunning. I haven't seen such a talented driver on a Porsche in Nordschleife before. Most of the corners are passed over 200 km/h. Incredibly insane. Andrew, you are a lucky man.
first lap on the nordschleife..getting a Kevin Estre Lap. Everything after that will be slow
4:55 I'm ded. Kevin didn't even look at the road and made the turn with surgical precision.

Impressive! This is the only driver I see in a RUclips video who could chat with his passenger so frequently, yet still drive flat out! The other drivers fully focused on driving without a single word.
What a good symphony he played, I just loved the engine sound!!! I heard the engine expressing joy. Very Beautiful!!!
Sipping an expresso not a coffee, he’s french
Guy is a boss, love that one turn with one hand on the wheel chatting like he was on a casual drive down the blvd! Great car and engine, love the 911s.
A great display of relaxed concentration & spectacular driving. One key to remember while at high speeds (in karts, cars, bikes, etc.) is to keep the neck and shoulders relaxed. And look way down the road especially through the twisty-bits. That takes gobs of practice. Important not to target fixate as well - target fixating leads to mistakes and crashes.
Unreal. Gotta love him looking over to chat while taking a curve. The man knows the track like no other.
Cheers - yes 👍 he was flat out straight out of the pits.
What a ride, Kevin E looks like a guy who could drive at race pace for 24 hours!Laid back, talking yet real quick. GT3 RS is my new favourite porsche.
Indeed, he did 28 flat out laps like this in one day - no problem for him!
ok heres the plan today,
im going to take you for a lap on the 'Ring,
then at 300kmh im going to drive with one hand, take my eyes off the track & carry on a conversation with you, then use my free hand to show you whats coming up on the next turn,
when we finish ill park in the car park and then we can run in for the buffet
WTF!?!?!?!
Yes that's pretty much how it went, a casual 7:05 BTG. Kevin is an amazing driver.
Like something from a ken block video lul
role model material
sounds good to me
Yeap exactly man!! I was like....."wtf hes doing!!!!" But DAMN that was a great drive!!!!!!!
Talking wine driving at 200mph
I can't even talk while tying my shoes
James Bond well you’re James Bond and not same douche bag just claiming it...
im sure thats 200 km/h not m/h lol otherwise the max speed i saw was 260 .. so he was driving over 420km/h? rofl
James Bond no sarcasm I would never attack James Bond
After Flugplatz we hit a top speed of 275km/h 171mph
@@nark0t1k thats crazy man! Thanks for sharing this great video and infos
"Keep the TC on - saves a bit of the rear tyres" - solid advice! I'm no longer hitting the pit stops too early in Gran Turismo 7!
To hell with the Roller Coasters at Disney, I'm signing up for this.
This is a bit more costly I'm afraid. One BTG lap as a co-pilot in a GT3 RS will cost you 270 euro/315 dollar.
Disney is for kids and the mentally challenged. Fast cars are for proper adults.
Lol! I agree... $315 for the experience and lap of the lifetime? Sign me up! The plane ticket though... umm never mind.
Glad I live in Europe, I could just drive there
@@farmerkevin on one hand roller coasters pull 3g's.... (there's a roller coaster than actually pulls 6) this car would only pull a little over 1g at most...... however rollercoasters are probably still safer................ So you could argue that just for the G force that rollercoasters pull way more......... But yeah this definitely tops that. especially since for the most part even professional drivers can be scared passengers because of how people just have slight differences in their driving styles.
"That porsche is still behind us!"
*porsche: did we pass something?*
LOL just came from that vid
Arne link?
Link??
This time he used the whole track!
Since the first turn, you could see how amazing this driver is. Great balance, road width usage, perfect...
He is one of the best gt3, gtlm drivers on the planet.
Gotta luv the conversation & one hand steering .... just like cruising on a Sunday drive...he’s too good!!
🚗 💨💨💨
One of the key things here is how lightly he's holding the steering wheel. Deft little touches. Totally relaxed.
Dude was having a conversation, looking in a different direction, one hand on the wheel, and slayed that apex perfectly.
That’s what you get with one of the best race drivers around.
he is an absolutely MAD MAN. the way he is driving is out of this world
The Best lap I ever Seen un Nürburgring. Is unreal how fast this man can be. He's skills are really incredible. Is not only speed, the Way he drives its easy and relax.
5:02 "yes okay" in other words 'Please keep both hands on the wheel'
And eyes on the road!
it's my dream to drive there. currently logged in over 15k miles on nurburgring through gt6 simulator. cant wait to trek out there!!!
RayDawg 4200 dont worry you are gonna total your car.
This is my favorite Porsche video in Nürburgring
albertosamaniego Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! Some amazing driving by Kevin in a great car.
* cough * 919 evo tibute * cough *
You should watch the 919 Record @ Nürburgring/Nordschleife.
Very very fast, very amazing!
3:45 245 kmh through the foxhole with one arm on the wheel while he shows to passenger how wavy the road is. Amazing...
Wonderful to see a master at work, shifting the pdk paddles like they are piano keys and placing the car so exactly on the track without having to even look at the road. 'I leave the TC on as it's easier on the tyres', what the heck must being hard on the tyres look like!
If he'd turned the TC off the tyres wouldn't have done the 20 laps.
*3:33* THAT trailbraking was for me one of the best I have ever seen on the whole youtube (I have seen many)!
smooth as butter
So fucking smooth 🤝
Strakos0 if you notice he nonchalantly checked to see if the passenger noticed & was a little sad he wasn't impressed lol
Was quite lit
Strakos0 I agree
i dont remember i ever enojoyed a lap more than this , i actually never remember finishing watching any Nordschleife lap except this one!
Check out the RUF Porsche video from the 1980s
I love how casual the driver is while going around a turn, driving with one hand, and the engine tacked out. The other guy is like, "ya ya, I love it, ya,"
The machine is working so well n damn precisely..... Driver ability as well... What a car....
What makes this run truly impressive is that video of a speed run never looks as fast as it did in real life. And yet, this one looks freaking SCARY! Consider me Very Impressed, Sir!
Getting sit next to Kevin on the Nurburgring is probably one of the greatest experiences ever. I think it would alter anyone's perception of fast driving.
A man can dream.
Kevin just took pole in hyper car at Le Mans. Great to see how far he’s comes.
