Evans would approve of 95%.. a little lag early on in the improv, but better than average articulation, which would require a double take by a passersby.
Evans always hit that first note of the phrase with complete authority, on the beat or off. He had rhythm, harmony, and lyric rivaled by few before or since. But that was good. Thanks for remembering him and this beautiful tune.

Gorgeous playing sir!... one of my favourite versions of this is with Bill and Tony Bennett (I think there's an original and alternative take) on their duo album; Together Again, I think. This tune is so haunting.
I have a bit of an obsession with minor 7 b5 chords, and I think Bill might have been instrumental in that, because I just love the way he voices them.... so delicious.

I would happily pay for a digital transcription (whatever you call that app in the top right corner of the screen) for the FIRST part of this tune - prior to the improv. It's absolutely beautiful and I'd love to learn it! I don't read sheet music very well.
