Comment peux t’on mettre un pouce en bas avec une musique aussi fraîche et Belles?? Si c’est une historie de gôut (mauvais) autant ne rien mettre. Vive la générosité.
Although I've been a little dormant in going out to clubs (Where the heavens can we go????) But, My wonderfully beautiful husband of at least 43 years, and though he's a genius.! He's taught me so many beautifully creative awesome things on the computer, he is a LOVER of the Arts!!!!! Especially Great Jazz!!!!! I used to be a jazz singer, (only because of the wonderful gifted and God given talents Jazz Musicians I had the pleasure of singing with)!!!!!! And I thank God for the opportunity!!!!!!!! And a few others whom I totally respect, but will not reveal, with respect to my gifted and beautiful husband Dick!!!!!! We're both old now, sold our car, don't have a lot of friends, (especially on the computer. Oh my God, though I've made, and still do, make mistakes in life, (as we all do at some time or another) But I now THANK GOD for the COMPUTER AND THE MAGIC OF THE COMPUTER AND OF LIFE ITSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had never even heard of Mr. Julian Waterfall Pollack and his wonderful trio until I just through curiosity his name kept popping up on the computer!!!!!!!! And, MY AWESOME GOD LEAD ME TO THIS BEAUTIFUL GIFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank You Lord Jesus!!!!!!!!!! From Betty Green McLamore, a brand new 75 year old fan!!!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S. AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST MY WONDERFUL HUSBAND OF 43 YEARS, DICK
This ‘Guy’ is a fresh face. What will he not achieve,he is that GOOD.The sincerity in his playing, his body movements tell me he is in that “moment”.Yes,Somewhere Over The Rainbow is for him,and they all stood up and clapped. Julian Waterfall Pollack a fantastic name,I shall be looking out for.
So young, so talented. I'm in utter awe. I think the young Julian has listened to the best, and then used his own special sauce. I'd tend to agree with a commentator below that he must have classical training, as did others such as the magnificent Evans, Keith Jarret, Brad Mehldau, etc. It takes talent to make this one last this long without a feeling of repetition. Lovely work.
I heard a bit of Brad, tiny amount of Keith, and even slightly less Bill. We are all influenced by those we admire but Julian seems to have developed his own sound and style. I liked his references to classical as well (Bach and even some Chopin). I thoroughly enjoyed his performance and expect many years of success for this young artist. Thank you for posting!
Up until now, I never heard of him. but i must say that, now that you were kind and generous enough to post this, I feel blessed and enlightened to know this young, inspirational and talented pianist. So, I truly thank you. :)
he has a nice swing style with good technique.......i would like to see more resolution of his improved ideas......there is little resolve from one thought to the next.....pauses are nice but they should lean to the next thought.and be part of that thought......not stay open, waiting for a new improvised idea....there is no comparison to Bill Evans here as one suggested.....this was well recorded and much better sound than some of the greats that i have listened to on u tube .....nice player,he will improve im sure...
Bill Evans,Keith Jarrett,Brad Mehldau, all get mentioned...Why compare!!....His left hand playing is far more “expansive” than Bill Evans, his right hand more “melodic” than Keith Jarrett, especially playing his solo interpretation.Julian is an Amazing young pianist.
Folks who gave this a "thumb down" need counseling and prayer.
You can tell by the first 5 seconds, that this is going to be a great version.
+audelino moreno true
its brad mehldau city
That articulation!!! Something that could only be achieved with classical training.... Love the baroque counterpoint.
Astoundingly beautiful.

I saw my first full rainbow during the summer of 2021, a year after a new spiritual journey began. 🙏♥️🔥.

Wow. Such musical maturity at a young age from all three of them. His playing reminds me of the late, great Bill Evans.

ooh, this is so well put. You should be a music critic.
"a bit of brad" man it wouldnt sound any more like brad if he was playing it himself

On hearing this beautiful tune 2 months later......Yes priceless piano playing...’But’ the Bass players solo is too long and not that good!!!
The drummer over play ed the pianist’s solo.
Musical mastery, but I thought it seemed a bit stilted
Sad to say…..the bass solo too long!
first 20 seconds i knew it was too modern cliche sry on to the next one
so good
