There's an 2008 American remake of this film called **Quarantine** starring Jennifer Carpenter, Jay Hernandez, and Columbus Short. It was one of my first found-footage horror flicks as a kid and it was absolutely terrifying! Awesome reaction as always! There's actually 4 **REC** flicks btw haha
The third REC with the wedding was my personal favorite. I think it was the first time they mixed found footage with traditional filming. The wedding and the hijinks that came with it plus the rabid infected just made it such a fun watch for me as a teenager ☠️ Good times
One of my favs. Unhinged, darksided, and suffocating. I love that it starts off small in scope, and that space only gets smaller and smaller as it goes on. When that little girl runs off to the apartment, rather than attack them alone, that's the first clue that there's something unusual about these zombies. I think it takes the next movie to really hash out some elements, but I think it's just as good and crazy.
if "pan's labyrinth" fits into the bracket of films david would be interested in, i totally recommend it!! there's just as much blood as there is backstory👌🏾 i also recommend "the babadook", "crimson peak", "28 days later" and "train to busan" (if david likes zombie films)

Yesss, do more foreign language movies! The Orphanage (2007), is also a Spanish horror movie, very well done, great atmosphere, and (for me) a really sad ending. I cried a lot at the theater, honestly. One of those movies that one viewing is enough, but do recommend it :)

also! the whole possession thing it's explained a bit better in the second movie, which happens more or less at the same time as the first one. essentially, the vatican thought they could find a cure for demonic possessions like it was the common cold but things went to shit and instead they got... well... this shit fun fact 2: the final scene in the basement was filmed in complete darkness. the actors had legitimately no fucking idea where they were and could only guide themselves through pablo's camera. so that was pure terror and confusion on angela's side. since they filmed the movie in an actual residential building in Barcelona, they could use the attic and get absolutely no light in there. and the tall thin girl in there, la niña Medeiros, was played by a dude that has played A LOT of monsters in hollywood movies! if you see a tall and lanky monster like the girl it was probably played by Javier Botet
Oh you bring back so much memory with rec, especially when it has a franchise, I think their 4 movies of REC, (Spanish version)...I remember first watching this, I was like damn we are screwed if we had a outbreak... especially if it's a zombie demon possession from hell that spread from bite, cause that what happen in the first movie, that was confusing until I rewatched it. It's a zombie demon that walks in the dark...looking for a live host😧 Apart from COVID...😫 But seeing your sassy comments and how you react from chatty Kathy to suddenly being scared to traumatize for life, just seeing your videos, you give me life despite it looks like horror takes ur away.😊👍❤️

fun fact 2: the final scene in the basement was filmed in complete darkness. the actors had legitimately no fucking idea where they were and could only guide themselves through pablo's camera. so that was pure terror and confusion on angela's side.
since they filmed the movie in an actual residential building in Barcelona, they could use the attic and get absolutely no light in there. and the tall thin girl in there, la niña Medeiros, was played by a dude that has played A LOT of monsters in hollywood movies! if you see a tall and lanky monster like the girl it was probably played by Javier Botet

Oh you bring back so much memory with rec, especially when it has a franchise, I think their 4 movies of REC, (Spanish version)...I remember first watching this, I was like damn we are screwed if we had a outbreak... especially if it's a zombie demon possession from hell that spread from bite, cause that what happen in the first movie, that was confusing until I rewatched it. It's a zombie demon that walks in the dark...looking for a live host😧

I've only watched this movie once, probably about 10 or 12 years ago and it has stayed with me. It was a lying on my bed with the covers up to my chin freaked out experience.
