This is how my skillet looks, knew it wasn't ruined but I've had it for 6 years so I bought a new one, havnt started using it yet wanted to look into what if anything I should do to it before its 1st use, it's a pre seasoned pan
Yes. It’s called Crisbee. Here is a link for you: amzn.to/4ag03PD It’s also made in America by a family and is half the price of the Blackstone alternative.
Looks awesome! I should save up and buy one of these. You are inspiring!
You can find them cheap on Facebook Marketplace!
@@GrillThisSmokeThat Why would someone not keep theirs? Is there a dark side to owning one of these?
@@sbkscuify People don’t take the time to learn to clean them properly and they get rusted. You can buy a rusted one and restore it pretty easily.
Oh man that's a satisfying finish
Thanks!

I suggest you still do a couple of rounds of seasoning even though it says preseasoned.
Would you recommend that type of seasoning product? I think you called it “Grisby”. Your content is excellent!

great cooking, looking at getting a blackstone myself, any recommendations?
I’d go with the Weber griddle. Better than the Blackstone.
Acayavo errlers jit wow
Flax seed oil works best for cast iron
Lots of different oils work great.
Does anyone ever get residue from the paper towels on their Blackstone griddle? I’m wondering how to NOT do that :(
Try Bounty or Viva
I don't understand. Seasoning? You season the metal?
Please someone elaborate.
Seasoning metal is not flavoring. It’s the process of bonding oil to the surface through polymerization. Similar to seasoning cast iron.
@@GrillThisSmokeThatthank you for explaining. I always wondered too.
Wait so u didnt clean it for a week and a half and it is still good to cook on it?
After you clean it. Yes.
Clean it how? With the oil like u just did (seasoning it)? Or clean it with water and scrapping it before cooking ok it?
@@luisbarrera4548 Heat, water, then oil.
@@GrillThisSmokeThat thank you so much! One last question, I have heard scrapping an onion across works fine as well is this true or no?
@@luisbarrera4548 I’ve never done that but it might work.
