Hungary is a country, that just know how to do Eurovision. They don't dissapoint. And it's all I expect from an entry - good voice, beautiful lyrics, performance full of emotion, ethnic vibes. Love it.
We were a disappointment for years and years before, singing in foreign language (english ) is make me sick, c’mon you are there to represent our country our (music) culture and our language.
"My father raised me like the wind Blew silently, sang, told stories that way He lived where the end of every road was Even 1001 years seems little for a lifetime I can hear him, his heart, through the strings I can see him on my own face as time’s passing I’m proudly sharing his beliefs Out of 1001 songs, this is the only one that I keep singing Old days, beautiful days Fond memories He calls me and I run up to him It was nice to play like this Old songs evoke him I can still feel the sunshine I can still hear the wind singing I can still hear him in the sound of the wind He used music to brush off my sorrow What I can offer is only that I belong to him And to my son, I can proudly say: He’s my father and here’s my home Old days, beautiful days Fond memories He calls me and I run up to him It was nice to play like this Old songs evoke him I can still feel the sunshine The wind blew me a lullaby to sweeten my dreams The wind blew me a lullaby, I can still hear it"
Leonie Sii many don't seem to know that the Hungarian, Polish, Latvian songs are the most beautiful in their simplicity. it doesn't stand out from the rest of the pop songs.
I'm from Hungary, and to be honest this is my favorite enty from my country. Seeing that a lot of people, from a lot of different countries all loved and felt it, eventhough they don't understand the lyrics, melted my heart. Thank you so much! Btw I'm so happy I can hear my mother language in Eurovision 3 years in the row. :)
Oh my god finally! I am so happy to this song, Joci Papai is back baby and I love him so much with Origo! I gotta admit I don't really like it at first listen maybe because I still in Origo mood, but man oh man now I love it so much! One of my favourite for sure.
O guys thank you. Im so happy for my country Hungary. This is a song about his father...yes I know Germany had about the same topic last year. Still this song is very special, it has a very strong Hungarian fell to it ( the violin part), also it has the Gypsy heritage of Joci ( his voice is gold, and very special), and the lyrics are just beautiful. By the way it won with a landslide the super final. I hope Joci will be a huge surprise in Israel and storms to the top 5. He was so emotional when he won. He didn't though that he has a chance to win again. Im proud of him and proud about our entry.
As much as I was a bit more into Origo, his previous entry of 2017, I can still see a lot of great potential in this song. Emotions run deep in this song and that is always a plus in my eyes. Moreover I view him more as an artist than a singer. I don't mean to say that one excludes the other, but he really seems to put a lot of passion, that goes beyond the performance and more as a form of expression akin to art.
Arne is back!!!!! Joci is back!!!! While I prefer another song at A Dal and his 2017 entry, this is one of my favorite songs within the songs so far. And I love the na-na part. 😌
I really like the violin... and the lyrics. Yet not as strong as Origo... but still very good, mesmerizing without becoming boring. And the lyrics are simply touching.... and very relatable too, I still miss drawing pictures and painting with my father, not music, but similar emotional bonding.
I really would have prefered The Middletons and I am still a little salty about the Juries not letting it go up for televoting but I am happy with Joci's song too.
I’m thrilled Joci is back and the song is quite good. I think Origo is a little better though as this year’s entry peters out a little for me in the second half, but this is still very high quality stuff.
My father My father raised me like the wind Blowing softly, singing, telling fairy tales He lived where every road ended One thousand and one years aren’t enough for a life, for a life I can hear him, his heart on the strings I can see him, bearing the passing time on my face I’m proud to confess his faith Of a thousand and one songs this is the one that I hum Old days, beautiful days I love his memory He calls me and I run to him That was a lovely way to play Old songs summon him I still feel the sun's light I can still hear the drone of the wind I can still hear him in the voice of the wind With a song he drove my sadness far away All I can give him is that I belong to him And I can say to my son with pride He's my father, and here's my home Old days, beautiful days I love his memory He calls me and I run to him That was a lovely way to play Old songs summon him I still feel the sun's light The wind whistled a lullaby so my dream would be beautiful The wind whistled a lullaby, I can still hear it today 2
Andrew Johnson I mentioned it in mine but it didn’t make the cut. Big fan of Joci. Didn’t think this song could surpass 2017 but this is just as beautiful in its own way😊
I know that it was long ago but.. *Please listen Wars for Nothing too!* It has got a meanfull english lyrics sang in the Euro vision! I think that's the most underrated song ever...
Wow everyone had really good things to say about this song. For me, yes it's a good song but it's a bit repetitive. But Joci Papai and his team will make a great performance in Tel Aviv I'll stay optimistic :)
I'm from Hungary and I would have never expected that a Hungarian song would get such a positive reaction over all from non-Hungarian people! Kind of unbeliveable really! 😁👍thanks guys! As a Hungarian from Joci, I liked Origo better than this
@@@benedek7365 I don't disagree with that, but think about it: can you imagine a jury that could indulge everyone, or at least the majority of the people? I can't. Therefore I would support relying entirely on the televoters at every stage of A dal. No jury.
I prefer Gergo Szekér’s song more. But his performance at the Final was shaky and didn’t made the SF. After he was eliminated, I was Team Joci. The Middletonz was my 3rd fave but I knew they had no chance with that jury!

Actually I really like this song. And I didn't like Origo. Love this kind of song, more emotional.
Congrats Joci and Hungary 🇭🇺
right? I also prefer this song over Origo, it's a nice song with great vibe and meaning
Köszönjük! :D
My favourite Eurovision Reaction channel. And big thumbs to whoever does the editing. Is really fluid and engaging.
Arne is back!!!!! Joci is back!!!!
While I prefer another song at A Dal and his 2017 entry, this is one of my favorite songs within the songs so far. And I love the na-na part. 😌
We love Arne!
The song sounds like a perfect companion/follow up piece to "Origo". :)
Thank you guys to made this video and for your opinions, you're all cute! Greetings from Hungary!
You guys will be more blown away with his entry in 2017, even though this is still so good

Cheers everybody..., from Hungary! 🙏🏼🤗
Love the positive reaction - this guy is Mr Authentic.

I’m soooo proud! My winner :)

I wish people would understand the lyrics. It so much more than just sounding good.
My father
My father raised me like the wind
Blowing softly, singing, telling fairy tales
He lived where every road ended
One thousand and one years aren’t enough for a life, for a life
I can hear him, his heart on the strings
I can see him, bearing the passing time on my face
I’m proud to confess his faith
Of a thousand and one songs this is the one that I hum
Old days, beautiful days
I love his memory
He calls me and I run to him
That was a lovely way to play
Old songs summon him
I still feel the sun's light
I can still hear the drone of the wind
I can still hear him in the voice of the wind
With a song he drove my sadness far away
All I can give him is that I belong to him
And I can say to my son with pride
He's my father, and here's my home
Old days, beautiful days
I love his memory
He calls me and I run to him
That was a lovely way to play
Old songs summon him
I still feel the sun's light
The wind whistled a lullaby so my dream would be beautiful
The wind whistled a lullaby, I can still hear it today

Last year's Hungarian singer was barefoot too
We don't wear shoes in Hungary... 🙄But shhh, it's a secret🤫🤭

Hungary is a good country, people just think it's not good but good ♥
JOCI 💜
did most of these people not watch eurovision 2017? It seems like they don't recognize joci?
Andrew Johnson I mentioned it in mine but it didn’t make the cut. Big fan of Joci. Didn’t think this song could surpass 2017 but this is just as beautiful in its own way😊

The most of the people in Hungary wanted to choose The Middletonz this year but our fking dumb jury didn't put them in the top4😡😢
@Y.O.L.O Time No, most people in Hungary wanted USNK to win.
@@nonman3634 thx for correcting me👌but we had still a bad jury😂

Since I absolutely loved his entry 2017, this one is a bit of a disapointment for me. Wanting it to be even better than last time ...
I just wish you understand that language and the song itself.... otherwise its just voice :)
Sok sok magyar szégyen embere pápai Jocika. Még jó hogy ezt ők nem tudják. Huppsz... 😂
Except his Voice & the Lyrics this song is a pain in the ass.
Not my cup of tea. Didn't like his first entry in 2017. And don't like this either.
Boring didn't do anything for me personally.
Too repetitive
The singer not even Hungaryan ...migrant from irak
False, he's a Hungarian romani gypsy born and bred.
