honestly I thought the waw bo1 and 2 story line was better bo3s campaign kinda sucked though
+EDSC Yeah, black ops 1 and 2 had storylines that had something to do with eachother, same characters and all that. Then bo3 comes out and the only thing i noticed that had to do with the previous games was that they mentionad Menendez Once. That was it. I feel like they could have progressed the story more.
What makes the modern warfare games so great is that the story is so big. You follow the same characters through three games hunting the same bad guy. That`s what makes the storyline so great. Its not brief, and we get to know so much about the characters, that we start to cry when they die. Like when Soap mctavish and ghost died. If they made a new game like that where the story needs multiple games to be told, and put in our time, not in the future but the present. Cod doesnt need to be in the same univers. I would have a new three game storyline in our present, in a universe where none of the other cods happened. I hope infinity ward realises this and does it. They did such a great job at modern warfare so they can do it again.
LSDanois I agree! But in the cod wiki theres alot of back story of each character, its like that in other games too, but i feel a bit disappointed when they make a sequal of a game, and they have nothing to do with eachother, they are like 50 years apart and all the characters are new.

Hey look I'm gonna have to disagree with some of the comments made about MW3 cause there were some campaign levels I did enjoy but I don't like the way they execute the story of how soap dies and Makarov gets away with shooting Captain price and then runs off other then that it could of been done a whole lot better so I give it a5 out of 10

+Ziyad Merzak I m not 8 and I like AW. It has a nice singleplayer campaign, Exo Zombies in classic and simple (not like BO3 Zombies), the multiplayer is fun and I'm still playing it to unlock the new weapons. The graphics are better than BO3 too. The only CODs that have some big problems are Ghosts (worst cod ever, shitty graphics/gameplay/campaign/extinction) and BO3 (too rare dlc weapons, horrible singleplayer, but nice multiplayer).

Almost as if it was a planned war, that certain people have known about; while none of us did.
We thought it was just a fun fictional action game, but they were just straight up telling us how the plan would be executed.

I remember 2011 VERY WELL! The hate started before the first trailer came out~ It was trash talk from EA and BF fans. They went on Metacritic and started giving MW3 scores of 1.
Doesn't matter, MW3 sold over 30 million, BF 3 was a moderate success.
Overall it was too similar to MW2, but it was a good game though.
This game is the reason CoD was labelled a copy & paste job, even though each game from here on was vastly different to where now CoD isn't even recognizable anymore...
The real MW3 campaign we ALL wanted/deserve 🤡🤡

Nah, it's funny to think that back then games thought it was realistic to have Russia invade both Europe and America at once and somehow make it to toppling Paris + Washington DC.
In actuality, they got about 1/5th of Ukraine before being ground to a halt for a year and a half.

To this day I still don't understand all the hating on this game. The campaign was an epic conclusion to the trilogy, the multiplayer was the most balanced and fun of any COD, this was all in all the best Call of Duty yet (in my opinion).

My first COD game was Infinite Warfare, which, of course, wasn't great, but it's a start.
I've been playing the older games a lot on my Xbox One S using used copies, and they are a blast. I can only really play the campaigns and solo mode on Spec Ops/Zombies because their online playerbase is essentially nonexistent.
Still a lot of fun tho.

People should start organizing an anti-war movement then. The protests during Vietnam forced the US to pull out of that. Unfortunately nobody was protesting during the Iraq/Afghanistan wars, so we all got stuck with that.

The story was absolute amazing. It's basically WW3.
The Multiplayer was ok, specialist was broken as hell.
Survival was good because it was something different.
Spec Ops was amazing.

Okay, I have to disagree with you on one thing. Specialist was definitely not broken. Support was broken because you got access to the lethal as hell stealth bomber that bombed one straight gigantic ass line across the entire map. Also you got access to the EMP which destroyed all the killstreaks of the players who worked hard instantly.

@@mrrizzy7006 the original Infinity Ward team developed MW1 and MW2. Right before MW2 released, the 2 founders breached their contract by talking to EA executives about CoD’s future. Activision fired the 2 founders and about half of Infinity Ward left with them, they went and founded Respawn Entertainment (Titanfall & Apex).
MW3 was developed by the other half of the remaining Infinity Ward devs and the original dev teams for Sledgehammer and Raven.
This is one of the best Call of Dutyes in the whole serial.THE MULTIPLAYER IS AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEE :D
